They didn't clean all of my oven. They showed it to me when they were done but I. Lift up the broiler pan and it was not cleaned. Also they forgot to wipe down the oven because in the back of the oven showed residue of the cleaner they used. I won't use them again read more

My experience with the maids have been very good. Most of the maids that I've had, have done an excellent job! They never let my cats out and they have never broke anything. I have had a couple batches of bad maids in my 2 years of having this service. I called and complained to the manager and she handled it professionally and fixed the problem. My sons decided to foster a dog for the first time and were not accustomed to all the fur, and shedding that would be everywhere. With all the time dedicated to taking care of the new pup they could not keep up with the dusting and vacuuming and I decided to surprise them with merry maids. They couldn't be happier. Angie was easy and helpful when I requested a quote, and was happy to work around my schedule, always quick to respond to any questions I had. The cleaning service was excellent, even the sweet little personal touches (for example, I have a old Cabbage Patch doll, who belonged to my mother, on our couch. Merry Maids came out to our house this last Tuesday, and did an AMAZING job!!! I contacted them last week, and Angie called me right away asking if I had time that day for Veronica to do an estimate. I was, so later that afternoon, Veronica came by and explained what they would do and their policies. GREAT! I then scheduled for the following Tuesday. The team I got was the Maria's as I was told (both of them are named Maria). I was told that they would come between 10-12, and they got here shortly before noon. They brought all their own equipment and got right to work cleaning. My house hasn't been this clean since I moved in! I was very impressed with the quality of work and the dedication they have to leaving a good impression. I signed up for a every 3 week regular cleaning, and today they sent me a calendar I can print out and put on my fridge so I remember when they are coming next. WONDERFUL! read more

This has been one of the best decisions! As someone who works full-time and commutes to work for an hour or so each way. This is has elevated our home and our lives. Our stove was really dirty - I mean used to be white then it was black next to the burners from years of cooking and stuff burning. They were able to make it white again. Seriously, that stove is unrecognizable! So clean! Just knowing that when I get home, my house will be clean makes me very happy. Seriously, if you're considering it, do it! I have acquired this cleaning service back in May and I have to say after many recommendations that Mary maids is top notch, I have to admit that the service is below standards. I have nothing to say but wonderful things about Merry Maids from Norwalk! I had their service for over a year and never once was disappointed. Every other Monday I would come home to a super clean house, perfect bathroom, dishes put away, trash taken out, and way more. To me their normal business practice is to exceed every standard. Timely, adaptive, detailed, practical are just some terms I could toss around about them! I would recommend them to anyone AND I HAVE! 3.5 stars for cleaning- while the ladies cleaned our house well, they were also hesitant to give us our full hour of cleaning. When I asked them to clean another room with 20 minutes of our hour left, they weren't very pleased. 2.0 stars for customer service on the back end- we scheduled cleaning during our wedding weekend because we knew we would have people over and I wouldn't have time to keep it as tidy as I like. Scheduling and confirming times went well up until day of- They were scheduled to arrive at 11:30. My coordinator called me at noon and said they still hadn't arrived. When I called to inquire about their ETA, I was told "they'll be there in 30 minutes. I didn't know you would be counting minute by minute"... Minute by minute?! 15 minutes I can deal with, maybe even 30, but an hour late?! And we were on a schedule, expecting guests at 1:45! That response was given to me without even calling me to let me know they'd be late. I had to call them! Needless to say, if you're on a schedule don't expect the cleaning to be on time or receive any updates. read more

One year after I left a review, I received a message from Angie via Yelp. She said there was a change in management and they wanted to offer a courtesy cleaning. I thought about it for almost a week and decided to give them another chance. I spoke with Veronica on Wednesday (3/28/18). Veronica didn't know why she was calling me and said she wanted to schedule an in-home estimate or whatever. She was talking to someone on the side and finally realized she was calling me because of a review on Yelp. Anyways, we scheduled an "estimate" for Saturday (3/31/18) @3:30pm. (An estimate for a courtesy cleaning? Haha.) So, today is Saturday 4:20pm. Nobody showed up. I went through my phone and saw 3 missed calls from "No Caller ID." I would never answer a call with no number, especially with all these solicitation calls going around these days. I saw a couple of new voicemails, and they were from Veronica trying to "confirm" our appointment. Are you kidding me?? We just scheduled our appointment 3 DAYS AGO (not weeks or months ago). At no time did anyone mention that they wouldn't show up if the appointment couldn't be confirmed a couple hours prior. I don't know what world you live in, but when you make an appointment or reservation, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO SHOW UP!!!! On top of that, Veronica said that she couldn't provide a call-back number because they were "moving offices." So...I had no number to call back, and these people decided not to show up (again) because I didn't answer their calls at their convenience. Once again, you made me waste hours of my day being available at home, on a Saturday, and you decided not to show up. YOU ARE A JOKE. Consolidated used a maid service in the past my expectations were high. Sylvia met me at 1 pm. She was on time and friendly. I walked her through my home and explained my needs. I've been using Merry Maids now for about 6 months I think. It took awhile for my Husband to talk me into spending $ to clean my little 2 bd 1 ba house but I work all week and was spending a whole day every weekend just doing the weekly cleaning but never getting to the deep cleaning. We have 3 dogs so lots of dog hair. I only have Merry Maids come every three weeks but I look forward to their every visit! My house is soooo clean and fresh smelling when they leave. I was not expecting to write such a bad review but it should be a fair warning to the future clients. I gave Merry Maids a shot even after reading some poor reviews. The owner, Meena sounded very professional on the phone and I spent 17 minutes explaining her my house size including the backyard and my expectations on cleaning. She said it should be done between 1.5 to 2 hrs. For the price she charges which is quite hefty, I was ok with 2 hours. She sent two maids today and they came and looked at the house and said they need 3 to 4 hours! They also said they were not told anything about the backyard!! This is downright unprofessional conduct and I had moved most of my stuff in the house to keep ready for them to clean so it was quite frustrating for me. I Called and made an appointment to have my house cleaned the day before before Easter. they quoted $300 and I thought it was a bit high but because I was under the gun I agreed to their price. On Saturday they did not show up so I called to find out where they were. They said they called to confirm and I cancelled yesterday. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. I am so mad. I have to cook for 45 people, have put of town guests staying with me and do not have time to worry about my house. That is why I called them in the first place. These maids are on COMMISSION. They race thru the house; skip corners; quick dust. No real cleaning done at all. Out in just over one hour......they mop the floors with a BROOM and wrap a dirty wet rag around it. They rush out the door to the next house.....FOR MORE MONEY. Excellent deep cleaning. I have a small 2bdrm 1 bathroom apartment, so you can imagine how sparkling the place was. The weekday rate is cheaper so I scheduled during the weekday. I highly recommend them. I am now going to have monthly cleanings. They got the floors so clean, compared to 7 years if cleaning with a Swiffer Sweeper and removing shoes before entering the house plus using area rugs and runners, my floors have NEVER been so immaculate. My bathroom was magnificent also. I have kids that leave globs of soap everywhere and all the shower cleaners in the world weren't really making a difference. Thank you Merry Maids. read more

Watch out for this unscrupulous and dishonest business. No wonder this was a failed operation when taken over by the current "owner", and is bound to fail again. After providing ample time and opportunity, Angie has reneged on her promise to reverse the service charge of the outrageously poor cleaning service/non-service provided by her "staff". She is extremely unethical in her business practices. Only when left a message that the District Attorneys office was going to follow-up, investigate, and shut down her business, did Angie finally reply to me. Since her illegal and criminal act to charge my credit card for overtime work that was...not even performed...not ever necessary, authorized or approved by me beforehand...and was lacking ethics while demonstrating improper billing, as well as being a downright crime. I was going to give her some credit for, after many days of ignoring me, eventually reversing the overtime charge which prompted me to have the DA's office back down on pursuing criminal action, yet she did nothing to reverse the standard service charge as said she would do in our phone conversation regarding this matter. She demanded that I delete my review before she would undo the regular charge...I told her, as we had supposedly and previously both agreed to, she was to eliminate the service charge first and then I would remove the initial review, and we would be finished with each other. She ultimately said she would do so immediately, never to communicate with one another again...however, in over a week already, Angie has once again lied by not removing the charge for basically non-service in my home, and continues to demonstrate lack of ethical and proper business practices. If she complies, this review would disappear as we had discussed, but remains because of her foolishness. The Better Business Bureau and others will not let this business survive...customers cannot be continued to be lied to...cheated...and disregarded. No way to run a business! read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars! I don't even use YELP but I am so disappointed with this service, I have to share my experience. I just had my kitchen re-done so my place was left very dusty and since I hadn't been staying there during the construction it definitely needs a deep cleaning. I called Merry Maids and they scheduled me for 10am. I requested a late start from work and since I'm not staying there drove out there and waited. 5mns to 10am I get a call stating that they cannot make it until after 12pm! I was furious because I felt they should have at least called me earlier because I was missing work. However because I want to get back into my place I agreed to have them come at 1pm. At 12:45pm, I called to make sure that we were on track for 1pm and I was advised yes between 1-1:10pm. That should have been a red flag but there I go.. waited until 1:30pm!! They never showed and all I did was waste my time. I wish they would have just said they couldn't do it and I could have looked elsewhere. I lost so much time and now I won't be able to get back into my place tonight like I planned. This is the WORST service I have ever had!! So unprofessional and inconsiderate. I would NOT recommend it but if you're desperate, well GOOD LUCK! But I will never again!!! read more

Tell me there running late and would 130 be ok, having carpets cleaned at 3 so i say 1 pm would be preferable.
