After receiving a personal message (asking me to delete my comment) and the (rather rudely stated) below comment from the "owner" "maria" I am compelled to re-review this company and give them only 1 star (down from 2) for poor customer service AFTER the fact. You can all see how well-worded the message is posted by "maria" the "owner" below. I'm not sure how "Maria", the man who answered my call for service, and the actual cleaning crew that showed up is related, but the people who cleaned my house couldn't put two words together in English. If I was charged for a "rush job" then they did an extra poor job. If I wasn't charged for a rush job, I should have been, and it should have been done right. The job should have been quoted appropriately and finished appropriately. Period. When you go around asking customers to change or delete a review and blame them for having expectations, you're doing yourself a major disservice and just ensuring they won't hire you again, while spreading the word about just how bad a job you did. read more

My wife purchased the Groupon deal for the service and when she called to schedule the service the rep first responded they only do 'small' unit and then ask for additional mileage surcharge on top of $25/hour overtime. Since the Groupon was already purchased she told him just come over and do within the 2 hour allotment. We (thought) negotiated for them to finally waive the mileage surcharge to confirm the appointment with our address. Before hanging up the rep 'hinted' that tips are expected for the service. On the day of service no one showed up and we called 3 times to leave message and when it was finally replied more than an hour later we were told we never 'confirmed' the service and once again because we are considered far away the rep repeated the mileage surcharge. He neither apologized for the no-show or offer an alternative service date. Truly a lousy business and we are filing our complains to Groupon as well! read more

Cleaning service was very expensive for the work done. It was not clean, everything is still dusty and marks on the floor yet it was a basic cleaning of flooring and windows. Definitely would not get serviced again or recommend. read more

Very happy to be finally getting to this review! Maria used to clean my old house in North Hollywood (I had to move), and she would always do a GREAT job. She would come once a month and gave me a really good deal because she would drive from Downey to come to my house! That's a 40 min drive!!! And she would check in on me from time to time to see if I needed cleaning and make sure my house was spic and span. ;) Originally what had happened was I got a Groupon from the cleaning service and I made a mistake when I checked the zipcode service radius. I didn't want to waste my Groupon, so I decided to try Maria out. She was great, and I stuck with her a couple of years. The place would always smell great and look brand new after she was done. She got to know my cats and we would chat and it was always a great time when I knew Maria was coming. Highly recommend! One note though: Make sure to make the communication clear between Maria and the Socal Cleaning office. Its a family business and sometimes they don't get a chance to talk to her before she does a job, and Maria doesn't speak much English, so make sure they tell her all the info about prices, services and whatnot ahead of time! They are always good about miscommunications, but it helps settle frustrations when things are crystal clear. Thanks for everything Maria! read more

do not ... i repeat ...do not use this bullshit company!!! they are unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. its a family owned business that doesnt give a shit. their worker eddie who apparently is gettig fired quoted me the wrong price (too low) and now they refuse to service me. They kept insisting it was a mistake & because im dealing with a family owned business and not a professional business of course they did not offer me a deal or a one time cleaning due to their mistake. They love to remind you that they're not "Walmart" or "McDonalds" the so called manager hung up in my face, ignored all my calls, and eventually disconnected their number. never in my life have i dealt with such poor customer service. please stay away from this horrible company, they do not care about their customers. all they care about is the money. STAY CLEAR. I needed SoCal Cleaners to do a deep clean of two apartment units that tenants were moving into the next day. Both apartments were newly renovated but needed a deep kitchen and bathroom cleaning. When I explained this on the phone, they said no problem and that they did this sort of cleaning all the time. Unfortunately, that had me prepay for the job. When I brought the tenant to move in that units were dirtier than before they were "cleaned" They did not even vacuum the carpets and left footprints all over the house in addition to a white powered residue all over. I will be filing a claim with PayPal to get my $250 back and will be posting negative reviews of this company on additional sites. Hopefully, I will be able to find a reputable trustworthy cleaner in the future, as Socal Home Cleaning is not the answer. If anyone has another great recommendation, I would highly appreciate it! I recently called So Cal Cleaning out to clean my home and they sent out Maria for the first time. A short time later I discovered that a large amount of cash, expensive perfumes and some jewelry was missing. No one had been upstairs in my house since Maria had been there. I called So Cal Home Cleaning and spoke to a lady who identified herself as the manager. I first asked if this company was bonded. I wish I had asked that before I had them come out. THEY ARE NOT BONDED. I proceeded to tell the manager what I had discovered and her response was that Maria was such a nice lady, she wouldn't do that. She did say she would talk to Maria and call me back. That was 8 hours ago so I'm not holding my breath for that call. In addition she did a terrible job cleaning.
