Merryhill has meant so much to our family. Our kids started there at just 6 months old with Mrs Thurman and Mrs Lori (the best), and for the past four years the teachers have played such an important role in their growth. They were there for first steps, bottle-to-cup transitions, and so many important milestones. The teachers truly care, and as a mom, that peace of mind is everything. We've been amazed at how much they've learned (not just academically but socially and emotionally as well). Our daughter has developed a love for art thanks to the creative and unique projects led by Ms Mummert. We are grateful for the care and patience to the toddler teachers (Ms. Elysa, & Ms. Kanae, Mrs. Ranieri). This past year, the new leadership team has made an already great school even better with more extracurricular activities and special guests. I can't say enough great things about this school and the wonderful staff. It's my son's first school - they do a great job with making parents feel comfortable and connected through pictures and communication via their app. My son started at Merryhill at 1 years old, and he is now 4 (soon to be 5). It's a stimulating and nurturing environment. Ms. Hohman & Mrs. Walker make us feel welcomed each day we get there. My son's teacher is Ms. Flynn - she is SO great (all I would hope for in a teacher for him). He is eager to learn, eager to share with me what he's learning and seems to be ahead of most kids his age with reading, writing & numbers. This school has been great for my family. I have two little ones that have been going here for years. They have had a lot of teachers over the years and one thing in common is that these teachers really love their children. My kids love going to school and they also learn a lot. I would highly recommend this school to anyone with kids looking for a great environment where their kids can flourish. My kids have made a bunch of best friends because of this school and the network of parents is also amazing. We owe this school a lot for our kids development. we just started this school 2 weeks ago. we had to pull our baby out of school because of principle Mrs Mendoza. she is very unkind and treat kids as commodities. She is very rude to parents and not at all understanding. One day out of 2 weeks, we were 5 min late to pick up my kid because I was stuck at work. I received a very rude call from Mendoza. Mrs Phillis was wonderful, but management of this school is really terrible . other then that one teacher everyone seem very cold and unloving. my child had really hard time for 2 weeks. she immediately adjusted to other school once I moved her, that tells me environment at this school is not nurturing. they get treated as objects and you can see it in child behavior. read more

Our children have been attending Merryhill since 2018. I was so worried about finding a great daycare for our kids, I toured this place twice while I was still pregnant! To say they've exceed our expectations would be an understatement! Every single teacher our children have had during their time at Merryhill have been amazing. I felt like they really loved our children! Most of their staff have been there for YEARS which says a lot about how great the school is and how well they take care of their staff. The principle and assistant principle are phenomenal and always helpful to answer questions, reply to emails etc. The curriculum they have is great and my daughter has learned soo much and is definitely exceeding her peers now that we've moved out of state to a new school. Even when my son was in the infant class, they had a lesson plan they followed and would do art with the babies once a week! Bless their hearts because I can't imagine the mess they would have to clean up from this! My daughter often came home with new things she learned during school. They even helped her memorize my phone number in case of emergencies and she's not even 3 yet! Just a small testament to how involved and amazing the teachers are. They truly understand child development. When my was born it was a no brainer that he was going to Merryhill also, and I couldn't wait for the staff to meet him. They truly felt like family! Even during covid they've made us feel safe sending our kids here. I could seriously go on for ever about how great this school is. Now that we've moved and our kids are attending a "regular" daycare, we can clearly see how amazing Merryhill was. I can't say enough about this school. The teachers are so incredibly kind and just so good at their job. Our son is in the infant program and we have seen such a change in him almost since the very first day. Before bringing him here, he was pretty cranky and aggressive at home, but I can see now that it was because he wasn't getting the mental stimulation he really craved, and now he's getting it in spades! As first time parents, the guidance and advice we get from his teachers is priceless and very much appreciated. Just placed a call to find out about admissions for my child. I spoke with an admissions coordinator named Liz who said there is a waitlist. I asked her how long was the waitlist, she said I need to come in and tour then talk to the principal to find out. Huh?! I explained that I am a busy parent and I don't want to go out of my way to tour then find out there is no availability, that would be wasting my time. I asked if there was any way to speak with the principal by phone to find out she said "no." Weird to say the least. She did not represent the company as flexible or understanding to parents. This review has been brewing for about 2 years since our child started at this school. Being the most expensive school in the state you would expect a better experience, especially being there is competition around every corner. Here are some of the issues we had: Teacher turnover: You almost quite literally don't know who your child's teacher is going to be by the day because they leave so often and they scramble to relace them. Child Hygiene: Their refusal to assist your infant/toddler in the pre-stages of bathroom care and potty care is unacceptable, and cost us TWO visits to the quick care for UTIs. Pay Gap: The principal drives a brand new Mercedes and wears Red Bottoms around while the teachers seem to leave as fast as they come due to pay scale. School Safety/Design: The school is poorly designed and offers minimal security compared to the competition. Actually the only security is the front door code. No cameras that parents can look at all. Our childs classroom was right at the front with direct access to outside, the lobby, and the courtyard. Food: There is none. Curriculum: The curriculum is terrible. The curriculum and one-on-one time with your child should reflect upon the price you pay for admission. I could put my child in public school if I wanted them to be just a number. In conclusion compared to the competition you are paying ABSURD prices for less time, you supply your own food, and force your kid into a uniform to match the façade of "luxury" in a sub-par school and environment. If you look at just 2 more schools that are even close to the cost, I put my bottom dollar that this will not be the one that you choose. read more

my grandson was left in his diaper for 5 hours and the staff wondered why he kept rubbing himself on the floor. he was uncomfortable!!!!!!!! teacher was not engaged with any of the children on several occasions. she ignored them!!!! read more

We started having our baby girl here at MerryHill when she was 3 months old. As first time parents, we had a hard time finding care that we trusted, had a clean environment, a caring and nurturing atmosphere and where we felt good leaving her during the day for work. Once we met the staff and teachers in the infant room, we were so happy to have found MerryHill. They do fun activities, give us updates on skills she's learning, and the fun pictures throughout our day which makes us feel great knowing she's happy. If you're considering a school for your child(ren) at any age, look no further-- this is it. Of course, as parents, taking our kids to pre-k / daycare for the first time was so hard. However, our nerves were instantly eased as we received daily reports and photos, met with the incredible staff (both administration and teachers) and most of all-- how we saw our kids grow and learn! They're so happy and flourishing (both academically and socially)-- and we're so happy, as well. We could never take our kids anywhere else and recommend Merryhill to everyone we know. It's worth every penny; our kids are ahead of the curve and have made wonderful friendships in this comprehensive (and very clean!) school... My only wish is that they offered grade school as well so I could keep them there forever! :-) read more

Merryhill Preschool is a wonderful school for children. My son has been attending the school for almost 2 years now and it has been amazing. The teachers are loving and caring and every employee there knows my child's name and greets him with a smile. He has learned so much and the socialization with the other children has been great for him. I've had my child enrolled here for the past 2 years, with my youngest starting up in the fall. We love Merryhill, my daughter especially. It's tough choosing a preschool for your kid, as it can be such an emotional experience. We wanted to make sure our school of choice was safe, fun, educational, close to home, and had our child's best interest at heart. Merryhill checked all the boxes. I love that the school is small and everyone seems to know each other: as well as my child. There are always activities, theme days, holiday celebrations, after-school programs, and charitable drives going on. On one particular day I'd gone to pick my daughter up and her class was outside enjoying a presentation on exotic animals, including getting to pet them! My daughter has learned so much in her short time here. She's being taught Spanish words, learning about great artists while doing art projects, they have science experiments in their classrooms, they work on math, sing songs, learn about great moments in history, they work on sight words for pre-reading skills, and they're even given little weekly homework packets to reinforce the learning at home. I'm constantly wowed by the care, consideration, and dedication of the teachers and staff! Merryhill is not only a great school, but a great part of the Green Valley community as well. read more

Our son has been a member of the Merryhill family for almost three years and we just could not be any happier. The curriculum is broad and the daily photos/reports keep us close to his activities. The staff is friendly and caring, and always welcoming. If there was any complaint, it would be that they share a campus with Coral Academy which proves to be a challenge at times. My daughter has been at Merryhill for 2 years (prek and k) and we have been extremely happy with the school. The staff is always smiling and there are always activities going on. I wanted her to learn spanish and they offer it. She is singing songs in spanish too! The art program and teachers are amazing! She knows the names of a ton of famous artists and artwork. In Kindergarten they even have field trips!! She really loves school and her teachers. She has learned to read and is reading above her grade level. I am very impressed with the school. The administration is excellent and they always stay in communication with the parents. When my daughter is asking for me to sign her up for the camps they offer during school breaks it shows that she truly enjoys being there. read more

What a "WOW" experience so far. I know it's only the first week but I love this place. Moved to LV from Cali and I was looking for a school for my son to attend Kindergarten. Public schools in my area didn't impress me. Teachers here in Nevada don't get much support from the school district. At least that's my opinion. I went on two different tours at merryhill. Always a friendly staff to greet you. Coming from Cali I always got the "I'm better than you" vibe at our local schools. I haven't got that here at merryhill. Parents are very friendly. My son just adores his kindergarten teacher Ms Hadama. She is such a wonderful woman. I can't wait for my daughter to attend next year. His class has only 8 students. If you can get over the price it's a slam dunk! We finished out the preschool year here before kindergarten and my daughter loves it so much as do I. I am thoroughly impressed with the teachers and staff. They all go above and beyond to make it a fun, creative, caring and academic environment. They do wear uniforms which is nice for decision making but a little expensive. However, they do have second hand uniforms at the school for a very small fee, which is the way we went and it's worked out just great. Overall a great school and so happy we settled on Merryhill! read more

We have been at Merryhill for about 3 and a half years and we absolutely love it. We put our daughter in Merryhill right before she turned two years old after our babysitter could no longer watch her. I went a toured a few schools and always left crying. I went to tour Merryhill and was greated by Ms. Vanessa (now Ms. Gastelum) who was going to be my daughter's teacher. She was so loving and nurturing and when the tour was over I didn't cry! That was quite the change and therefore I felt like Merryhill was the right choice!! Fast forward a few years... and now my daughter is in Kindergarten. My only complaint is that this is the last year she can go to the school, I wish they went all the way through elementary school at this location!!! All in all, we love Merryhill, the staff is incredible and all know who I am as well as who my daughter is, they have a great balance of learning and playing and offer extra curricular activities if you want to take part. I have nothing negative to say about this school, we have been 100% happy. read more
