We were also told the last show of the day was about to start so we luckily caught it. Loved watching all 3 performers - aerial, juggling, and hoops. The Marin Mobile Drive-In is a regular event where some local counter-culture nerdy types drag out their personal favorites and share them with anyone within ear shot with an FM radio & eyeballs. Cupcakes, popcorn & sodas can be purchased "by donation" for a few bucks but other than that this event is 100% free. All you have to do is follow their website, meetup or facebook pages and show up on the correct night. There are more showings in the summer when the weather is nice but last year they had them periodically all year long.

The club itself is an intimate and unique space. The performers were top notch and we are still trying to wrap our heads around some of the magic we experienced! Our matinee ticket didn't include food, but did include a non alcoholic drink. They do offer beer/wine for purchase. While all of the performers were fantastic, we were lucky enough to catch a performance headlining Mentalist James Knight. Sorry, I can't remember anyone else's names. Puzzles are both clear and challenging at times, the narrative is very interesting and provokes discussion both during and after, and the prospect of decisions affecting later Chapters is very interesting. One of the most engaging and interesting Escape Rooms I've ever done. Although you might find cheaper Escape Rooms out there, Off the Couch Games offers a more unique experience that I think definitely gives you plenty of entertainment for your dollar. I eagerly await Chapters 4 and on. Only room for improvement I can really say is signage. If you miss the banner and front door on your way into the parking lot, you may get confused, especially at night.

The kids loved the ones with where they put the ball on ramp and obstacle courses down. Lots of creative and fun courses including 3-4 challenges based off timing and luck. So much fun. Lots of parking. They have a section for private parties and had other games like ping pong. I think they allow you to bring your own food and drink .. maybe they have food trucks on busy days?

Our game was the pirate themed Depths of Osiris (check out the preview vids on YouTube), and it was perfect for a team of an adult and two ten year olds. My boys had no trouble getting used to the VR gear they had to wear for the experience (a headset and two hand controllers - it was their first time). We had to cooperate to solve each room's puzzle to unlock a new room. Eventually, we got to the final scenario which was exciting and really required us to collaborate. The puzzles were well constructed and mostly understandable from a logic perspective. The graphics and sound were pretty decent (it's not super-high res like Cyberpunk) and matched the gameplay perfectly. We got some timely tips from the game master too, and cleared the puzzle with about a minute left on our 45 minute timer. The facilities are super clean and well maintained. They also have snacks and drinks which are nice to make the visit special for younger kids. My sons want to come back, and I do too. I also heard they are adding a physical escape room, so definitely something to look forward to.

A small and simple Japanese garden I can sum up in three words: peaceful, pretty, and pleasant. I spent some time on a Saturday afternoon nestled underneath the shade of a garden viewing structure with seating, a great spot for meditating. The trees and greenery were beautiful in July, and there was much to appreciate in the little details and features of the garden. And if that's not enough, there's more to explore at Shinn Park. Easy free parking, too.
