Really good crepes here at Mon Ami. I had the Nutella and banana, which I highly recommend. I didn't have any coffee, but a lot of people seemed to be ordering espresso/latte drinks. They have two types of crepes: sweet, and savory. Not the most exotic recipes, and not a place I would describe as fine dining, but the food is good and unlike a thing else in vancouver. Have experienced with savory and sweet crepes, and both ate there and gotten an order to go. The food is crafted with care, priced accordingly, and tastes delicious. Their style seems to be a larger crepe with less filling, compared to a smaller crepe with a lot of filling. Still plenty of food! If you are in a rush for food, this may not be the best choice - I've waited between 20-40 mins for different meals. However, I'm happy with that as I wanted some downtime and enjoyed the cafe. The atmosphere is very low key and relaxed, with WiFi available if you are like me and sometimes want to work remotely is neat spots. Out-front seating is awesome in the morning. read more

Food is good. Coffee is good. Customer service is eh, but I don't really care unless they are rude. They're not rude, but I also don't feel valued after how much I spend on food. So the real issue i have with this place is how long you have to wait on food. This isn't my first time here, and I never usually rate places based on first visits. My bf and I have been numerous times now where we can confirm that the wait time is ridiculous. They're not slacking off, it's just that they're kitchen is too small. They only have two crepe makers with a line of people. I'm hoping that they're just waiting for a location to open up that will give them more room to grow and hire more employees. Delicious!! I ordered a vegetarian crepe with feta and tried a bit of my party's cinnamon dulce crepe. Super big portions for the price and the savory crepes even come with a little salad. I will agree with a previous reviewer, a tasty sauce for the veggie crepe would have made it even better. Even better, the atmosphere inside is really nice. It's very laid back. There were giant life paintings on the walls when I visited, close up color studies of faces, and they were enjoyable to look at, much better than the generic art that often adorns café walls. This place is wonderful in that I placed order and paid first. We did not wait long before before the coffee and food is ready. We tried the sweet nutella chocolate crepe, and sugar crepe, we also had their specialty coffee. Yummy all around. This is tough one... it's 'pretty good' may be the most accurate. The latte was great. I love the stamped to-go cup. Very hipster cool and let's face it, that's why I'm paying more then Starbucks. Ouch. Anyway they've got the idea. The place has potential for greatness. I am a tad concerned about cleanliness here though. This was my second visit and there seems to be a inescapable funk in the air. Like bleached floors that aren't dry. But hey, it's the northwest. I have visited this cute and quaint cafe several times over the past few years with great experiences, crepes and coffee. However, my visit today was different. I ordered a to-go order for one crepe and waited 25 minutes before it was done. The place was fairly busy with holiday visits and such. That on its own I would have shrugged off. But as I sat there surfing the net and waiting for my order, the gal making the crepes was eating bites of food while making people's orders. The first time I noticed I thought I might have missed something abs saw it wrong - part of a crepe stuck to the hot crepe maker and she scraped it off, picked it up and ate it. A few minutes later, she got one of the containers out of the fridge underneath the counter, opened it up, took a spoon and scooped a spoonful of whatever it was and ate it. I felt it was unsanitary and worth mentioning. She just seemed to overall not care about what she was doing. Taking her time, overly trying to socialize with other staff and on top of it - eating while making others food. I love this place and want to give it more stars because overall it's deserved - just can't under such circumstances. Hope this changes and others don't experience the same. Best of luck! read more

I totally dig Mon Ami. Whenever I get a visitor, I take them to Mon Ami for a crepe and and warm fuzzy belly feeling. Super fun environment and yummy crepes! My grandma came to town and loved the salmon crepe. I always get the cinnamon and sugar crepe and it's just perfect. The coffee and whatnot is okay, but I'm not a big fan of Stumptown Coffee. I know! You know the Ethiopian spongy bread that you use as a utensil, think that. Flavorless sponge. So I ordered the pear and brie crepe. It was huge, drownding in brie (that must be where the $ went), with raw pear slices. That was it. What?! It also came with a salad, which is weird, so I substituted fruit. Thinking I would get some seasonal fruit. Nope, I got the rest of the raw pear and a half of a banana. Wow, just wow. I don't know what else to say. I was hungry and choked down what I could. I wasn't planning on eating a $11 sponge and brie wheel. I usually do not leave mean reviews, but come on? They really think this is good food? Atmosphere is cute, and the art was good. My wife however loves them, she also has a lot of dietary restrictions so for that this place is great. The first time I went I just sat down to have my latte and they announced their "early closing" they did offer a free pastry but it was kind of awkward. Another time I visited during a rush hour.
