I loved their online portfolios (which I saw on Instagram), and I knew I was going to choose them even before I did my trial, just based on a phone conversation. I specifically hired wedding vendors who were talented, professional, and most importantly, people I would want to spend the whole day with. These ladies were that and more! Kara kept me laughing and Monique kept me calm during my hair/makeup trials and on my Wedding Day. They were an absolute "dream team" - dealing with the craziness of myself, my mom, my mother-in-law, and all of my bridesmaids. No! No! No! Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire Faten Peters!!!! She should stop working with brides. I booked an appointment with Faten for a trial and loved the way my hair came out (pic on the left), however on the day of it looked COMPLETELY different and horrible (pic on the right). What happened??? I can not believe that a "professional" hairstylist can mess up your wedding hair. I trusted her. We started very early in the morning and I was supposed to be ready by 1pm. My photographers and videographers came at 1pm and Faten was still working on my hair! Everyone started to hurry us up and finally my hair was done. When I looked at myself in the mirror I was like: "What is this???" I cried but it was too late to do it over. She spent hours creating THIS????!!!! I just hated it! What's more, the hair fell apart right after the ceremony. When I look at my wedding pictures I cry out loud because of the hair. My mom wasn't happy with her hair either. Faten couldn't style a simple short hair bob. Also, she FORGOT that I gave her deposit a few months earlier! Unacceptable!!! I do not recommend her services! read more

My husband and I chose Fox Hollow as pur venue and no regrets whatsoever! The preferred vendors they had to pick,from were great! In particular, Metamorphosis was awesome and prompt responses which I appreciated as a bride. They paired me with Alaina for hair and Melissa for makeup. I did a trial with Alaina months beforehand and the pricing was fair as the trial is includes in the bridal pkg. She came all the way to Astoria to do it at my MOH's apt. She was very prepared, professional but above all super friendly. Her arsenal of hairstyles was immense and banged out 4 diff hairstyles for me in an hour so really got bang for my buck. Alaina was super easy to get in touch with and kept up with me thriugh the whole process. She gave me a cool sleek faux hawk look that surpassed what I envisioned! I had my makeup done by my aunt as a wedding gift, but all my girls had theirs done by Melissa. She was super prepared and punctual morning of. She brings her own lights and equipment. Metamorphosis was the best choice for my Indian/italian fusion wedding. Im indian and so my makeup and hair was quite complex. I worked with danielle who did a phenomenal job with the makeup. She put me at ease and i only had to tell her once what i needed. The makeup lasted about 10 hours and was great even until the honeymoon night began ;) I had two makeup looks and danielle came back to the venue to do the second loom which was a great smoky eye! Also alaina, was very accomodating with hair. She did a sleak, sexy bun for my ceremony and draped the indian veil perfectly. She also attached my headpiece perfectly. I did a second hair look and alaina came back and did a half up and half down look with a hair piece. It stayed all night and didnt get frizzy with moisture or dancing like crazy. For the year before the wedding anf planning the looks, they both were great in responding to texts, calls and scheduling trials. They also did great hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and mother and aunt at an affordable Price. I highly recommend them for bridal hair and makeup. I'm so glad I'm finally getting to write this review, it is deserved and long overdue. Juliana did make up for my mom and I for my wedding on 7/2/17. I have had my make up done professionally before, but no one has make me look and feel as beautiful as Juliana did on my wedding day. It's been almost a month since the wedding and my husband is still gazing at pictures of me from that day saying how beautiful I was. My mom felt more beautiful than she has in years. She was so sad when she had to take the the make up off at the end of the evening; so was I. Juliana is such a talented, artistic soul. Ok I know this is a little long but stay with me if you're considering this company...I contact this company for my wedding day makeup. I was told over the phone the trial would be $125. $100 for trial and $25 for airbrush. I asked how much it would be for the day of and was not given a straight answer. I was told it would depend and she would tell me at the trial. My mistake I should have pushed more on the phone for the price. The makeup artist comes and does the trial. I tell her that I want something very natural looking. She did not listen to what I said and I felt pretty much just did what she thought looked good and not what I was asking for. After three different "looks" I was tired and a little discouraged that I didn't love it. Then the prices came....for my trial and wedding day makeup it was over $500. Which is so absurd. Then she tried to charge me an insanely amount for airbrush - $125 extra just for airbrush! Even though the trial it was only $25 extra! When I asked why it was extra she made some sort of comment that my wedding was so close. So basically she was trying to price gouge me because my wedding was close? Then I immediately said I am not paying that much and she backed off saying ohh let me talk to the owner I'm sure she will reduce it. So just bc I said the price was ridic now it will be reduced? So shady. I felt totally ripped off by the trial bc it was expensive and she didn't even listen to me. I ended up finding someone else who was amazing and did an awesome job for my wedding and my wedding day makeup was less than the metamorphisis trial! Be weary of this company. I had such a bad experience. Another strange thing - they have all these reviews on a popular wedding review site and all the reviews are positive. All written by people who only wrote one review...coincidence? Then I wrote my honest review and the company actually tried to get it taken down! Let's me start by first saying my Wedding was a destination wedding on the island of Grenada in the Caribbean and Sarah travelled to work. She was awesome and very professional. On the wedding day she firstly did the bridesmaids make up (6). After the was done with them she travelled to another location to do my Moms, MIL, Maid of honor and my make up. I got married on 5/27/18 and WOW was my glam squad amazing! Kristen did an incredible job on my hair and Nicole's skills as a make-up artist are unmatched. The two of them did my hair and make-up trial and we were able to coordinate it so that it was the same day as my 10-year high school reunion- talk about a confidence booster! From then until the wedding, they were super responsive and answered all of my questions and concerns. They week before the wedding I went to Kristen for a trim so that my hair was just right for the big day. I had an afternoon wedding, so we had to get up very early to start getting ready. My team (Kristen, Courtney, Nicole, & Megan) was right on time for their 5 AM (!) start time and we had a lot of fun getting ready with my bridesmaids. I used this company in November 2014 for my wedding and couldn't have been happier with the results for my wedding. They were professional, courteous, arrived promptly BEFORE the expected time to prep the work area to ensure they were ready to work immediately. Not for me. I was in a friend's wedding and had my makeup done by Meta. I'm a less is more person. I find their style very heavy in general and too focused on contouring, which did not agree with my skin (hives). I didn't like it on my very pale skin. I looked like a dead body with mortician makeup. However, if you're into heavy/Instagram-type makeup, they do a decent job with application, but they are on the pricier side (which makes sense given what I've heard their training costs). read more

This review is long overdue, but this was the first chance I had. I got married on 1/3/16. Mariana did my makeup and Faten did my hair.Both are great personalities to work with. However, I was not happy with my look on my wedding day at all. I am sure they know what they are doing, but I truly expected more (in terms of "proficiency") for the price I paid. To say the least, i looked like a clown. I showed Marianna a video of what i wanted done.She did my makeup with the sun shining right on me by the window. Off the sun, the colors were completely off. The video had gradient shades of black and grey on my eyes. she used blue all the way up to my eyebrows and winged the color out so much that i looked like the joker. when my mom saw it, she asked her to remove all of that excess and to lighten up the top. she lightly removed with her finger and put some other color ON TOP of the blue. Which made it even worse. she did not draw my eyes the way i wanted.My face was red with way too much blush and did not match my neck. On my lips, she used this BRIGHT red/pink color.If you can imagine eyes painted blue with bright reddish lipstick. The joker. I was so upset but couldn't let that get to me on my wedding.i felt like she was lazy to remove and redo what i asked for.I also felt like she was in a rush to pack up and leave because she had an event to go to afterwards. It wasn't only me who saw this.The photographer even noticed and asked when we were taking pictures. When I got my photos back, that is when i knew I was right. Her mistakes were very obvious in all my photos (available if you want to see).A few months later, I had my overdue engagement shoot. I hired an amazing artist named Huda from Lejamalik to redo my makeup, wore my wedding dress again and redid my photos. Huda is perfection and knows her shades,colors,and how to bring out the best facial features.
