I again gave the destination pickup/drop off and full inventory list. That was three days ago, no response. Honestly, how can you be a reputable company when you don't respond to client requests? If the job was something they didn't/couldn't do, the least they could do is tell you instead of ignoring you. I apologize that we won't be able to meet your specific needs and we will not be able to move you." I emailed him back, said I'd be OK with that (even though it wasn't ideal for me), and I haven't heard back. This was 4 days ago. Even with stairs, they unpacked at my new location very fast and even made sure we were happy with where everything was placed. I repeatedly asked for the signed order for service, the full pickup inventory, and certified weight tickets to support the upcharge. Communication was stressful and inconsistent. I ultimately paid $2,000 to end the dispute and move on, but this was a difficult experience. Advice to future customers: get the estimate type in writing, ask for the carrier's USDOT/MC, request weight tickets, keep everything in email, and know your rights about what's due at delivery.
