Got in a fender bender. Tried fixing a smashed tail light myself on my 2001 Nissan Maxima, but the body was slightly bent so I could not do it. I drove it to Metro to get a quote but since I already had the replacement part, Ryan just bent the metal back straight for free! Took 10 minutes. Sean Keyser at Metro Auto Rebuild is fantastic. I had my brand new BMW 335xi repaired at RnR in Bellevue and RnR failed to remove two scratches. They also left residual wax compound all over the crevices of two door handles. Due to the poor customer service at RnR, I stopped by Metro Auto Rebuild and asked them if they would be willing to clean out the wax on my door handles and remove the scratches. Metro and RnR are "sister" body shops, so Sean took my car and fixed it free of charge. I am extremely pleased with the result and attention to detail that Metro provided. I took my 3 series to Metro Auto Rebuild after I rear ended someone. Worked with Ryan S. and he was definitely nice/pleasant to work with. (FYI I tried working with someone else earlier in the year for some other body work and he was a complete dbag and literally said NO when I asked if I could talk to Ryan instead). Anyways, back to the reason why I went, the body work itself was amazing. Everything looked really good after all the repairs. The only gripe I had was that the original estimate was 2-3 weeks and it ended up taking over a month, but sh*t happens and they made sure the repairs were perfect. Ryan felt bad and took of 20% on my deposit (without asking) and also paid for the rental car for the last week because it took so long. I had scratched the side of my car as can occur from time to time in city garages and he was able to get rid of all signs of the scratch in less time then it took me to drink a coffee. Took my Clk 320 here and I regret it. Zero stars for telling me it would only take 2 weeks to replace a rear bumper. It took 6 weeks! I called about a dozen times, never received a call back the entire time. I had to go in to the shop to talk to someone. When I finally got my car back the bumper hung 2 inches lower than it's suppose to be. The interior and exterior were coated in white dust. Never offered a loaner car. Do not trust these guys with your car. read more

Metro fixed rock damage on my 2007 black BMW. They also painted a door that had paint defects. The finished repairs looked like new. Several months after the repair there was a visible problem with a small area on the door that was painted. I returned the vehicle and Metro promptly fixed the problem. They stood behind their warranty. I would take my car there again if I need bodywork. read more

After 3 incidents with other cars in my life, inevitably I would need to take my current Volvo S60 in for crunch work...done by a stranger while my car was parked. My only choice: Metro Auto Rebuild. I have always had great experiences, and the most recent was even more so. Ryan was extremely helpful; ask for him by name as others may not maintain his excellent level of customer service. He walked me through the process, provided reasonable timelines, and even helped repair a scratch - not incurred as part of the accident - at a reasonable price. The paint was perfectly matched, and I received my car back with a sparkling hand wash. When I noticed a rattle by my window after the repair, I was able to stop by and the team tightened the mirror quickly. Now, everything is good as new! The only less than positive experience was with the front desk staff. The gals need to take a lesson from Ryan by showing some enthusiam for their work, and compassion for the customer. But as long as Ryan, and the repair team members are there, the desk work is irrelivant. I would & do definitely recommend MAR to friends and family! read more

This auto repair store charged me 80.00 a day to write an estimate. It cost $4000.00 which the insurance company paid metro and deducted the 4000.00 from my settlement for my beautiful Malibu Blue 2003 Mercedes Benz E 320. Metro Totaled my car. While I argued with the insurance company about the value and wanted car repaired. Metro did not tell me they were charging so much to evaluate repair. And when I wanted to move car to a different less expensive shop they did not want me to move it . Still no mention the daily charge. They wrote massive repair estimates but never moved my car from the spot to tear down car for a more thorough view of the damage. I asked the manager to please split the fee with me since I only recovered 8000.00 dollars for my Benz minus the 4000.00. It was really unfair and a total theft of the value of my Mercedes. I had been a loyal repeat customer too! I hope no one else uses them they will cheat and steal from customers.!!! read more

REALLY BAD Customer Experience! I had to call them several times to get status of my car. When Sean was not available, the receptionist said he would call back, but that never happened. So I had to call them again. This happened several times. The worst part is, I found out that the total price was almost two times the estimate when I picked up my car!! And on that very same day, I had called them twice, and Sean did not mention anything about the price change! When I asked why he did not call me, he said he just found out they had to order a different part, which costs more than in the original estimate. This doesn't make sense at all and shows how unprofessional the company is. The parts should have been ordered longer than one week - they should have known the price. Or at least he must have known this the day I was picking up my car, and he could have told me when I was on the phone with him TWICE that day! Take your car somewhere else! read more

Brought my vehicle in after an accident to the rear end of my vehicle. While my vehicle was under the possession of metro my drivers side window had broke and fell off track. They refused to repair the damage at no cost and claimed it was a mechanical issue. Not to mention the lengthy time period my vehicle has been in the shop with no phone calls to update me on my vehicles status. Every week I had to call to ask for an update. Pretty frustrating to have to pay for damage on your vehicle when your vehicle hasn't been in your possession for a month. Seems pretty shady to me. Doug the "owner" wasn't very pleasant and made all the excuses in the book to why they weren't responsible for the damage to my vehicle that happened while in their possession. Not to mention the body work averaging $5200 and me having to pay and additional damn near $400 for the extra damage caused by them. Save yourself some time and money and find a different certified auto body shop that works on bmws, Mercedes, Lexus, ect unless you don't mind falling to be one of their victims. Although, Sean was ok. He was able to offer me about 20% off of the total amount, but why am I having to pay for damages that happened when it was under their possession??????????? read more

I initially brought my 1999 BMW convertible in for body work in 2013. My car looked better than it had in years. I recently brought my car back for some post-accident body work. I worked with Jules Cooper and his level of customer service truly exceeded my expectations. I brought my car by and he took pictures and notes in order to provide me with an estimate. I accepted the estimate and dropped my car off for the repairs. Once my car was inspected by MAR's experts, Jules asked me to come back to review their findings. They had noted every single imperfection. Jules reviewed these with me so that I could pass on those that I didn't care about. I was also able to authorize those that I didn't notice, but wanted to have corrected. During the entire process I felt that Jules had my best interests in mind and wasn't looking to gouge me on cost. I picked up my car and it looks better than it has in over 10 years! read more

I would recommend taking your car to Gerber Collision instead. This place has horrible customer service and they will not call you to give you status updates. They said my car would be done at end week Friday. It was not done when I called in they said early next Tuesday ...I anticipated a call from them Tuesday, none, so I called they said end week it'll be done n ready to go then here comes David calling to say they forgot the sealants on the car , and will be done Monday . Today is Monday no call so I called them they said "if" the part comes in then they will be done with the car. I am guessing it will be three weeks by the time they are done with my car. By now gerber collision would have been done. I would not recommend this place and their customer service is horrible. David is very rude and he is very loud. I don't mind if u called and said it will be done in three weeks but to say less than a week? N then the second call was on the final day I was supposed to rec my car and didn't?! I only went there because it was near my work however gerber collision where I got my car done in past had the best customer service even when things r forgotten they will make it right. read more

No complaints. The car looks good as new, was done in the estimated 4 days (which I told them was very important), and the repair total even came in the same as the estimate, which was a bonus. They even gave me a discount since I was paying out of pocket, and offered me a ride to work when I dropped off the car. Helpful people, high quality work (you can tell by the clientele - when I dropped off the car, there were about a dozen cars, all German - not VWs - and all less than 5 years old... even a new Ferrari), and delivered everything as promised. After my 2010 Prius was sideswiped by an amphibious, tank-like Duckmobile, I brought it to Metro Auto Rebuild upon the recommended of the Duck Co.'s insurance company. It was clear from the beginning that my car was going to be in good hands. Not only did Metro do an excellent repair and paint job, but they also went over the entire car's mechanical and electrical system to ensure that all damage would be found, fixed, and thus covered by the insurance claim. Had the electrical problem they found not have been discovered, I might have had to fix and pay for it myself later. They even guarantee their work for the lifetime of the car. Sadly, I have had to use them a few times over the years even back when they were on Capitol Hill. Thankfully their work has been second to none, consistently, as long as I can remember. From minor bumper work to significant collision damage, they are the only place I am comfortable taking my BMWs these days. I don't get to write reviews too often, but I was compelled to write something beautiful about the service I received recently from Metro. I had my car serviced at Metro recently, and I can say that I am a satisfied client. David Hansen was my client rep., and he was very polite, showed that he cared, and went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of. Though this is not a service I would like to ever have again (you don't wish to be at the auto rebuild shop!), if I am ever in need of body work for any vehicle, I will always go here. I would never come to this shop ever again or recommend it to anyone. They do not care about the customer, they only care about money. I came in for an estimate but they never gave me a writen or official oral estimate. They assumed they would get business for me and ordered my parts for which I never made an appointment. I went to another shop that would do the work and they did a fantastic job. Metro Auto Rebuild had their own opinion and they said it was a bad job and they bullied me saying I have to pay for the parts even though my car was never in their shop - they never touched my car. The estimator guy tried to take advantage of me and said these parts were non refundable, which was a lie. They are rude and unprofessional and I would give them a rating below a negative zero, espesially the estimator guy based on the way he handled it. They also called me, harassed me and threatened to send me to collections. read more

I had a Subaru basically totaled. They did a complete rebuild of it and it wore very well. The doors worked like they should, the paint matched - I was very impressed. My husbands truck came back the same way perfect! It did take much longer than we wanted, but for the quality it was worth the wait. I am going back for a 3rd time. I can't believe the bad reviews. I can't say enough about our experience with Metro Auto Rebuild. Metro recently completed a fairly extensive repair to my wife's 2009 BMW 328i X-drive after a collision. BMW Seattle recommended Metro as their preferred body shop, and now we know why. First of all, their customer service was OUTSTANDING. Ryan went above and beyond the typical scope of work you'd expect from a service adviser. He guided us through the entire process including dealing with the other motorists' insurance agency. He repeatedly went to bat for us regarding our claim amount and rental car (which the insurance company tried to skimp on). The extent of damage to the car meant that the car took several weeks to repair, but the car was perfect when we got it back. They took the time to explain everything in detail which I really appreciated. Just driving by Metro you can tell by the cars parked there that they're accustomed to dealing with premium vehicles (Ferrari, Maserati, Tesla, etc). 2 days after we got the car back, we noticed that the new headlight had a malfunctioning bulb, so Ryan had our car back in immediately. Ryan handled everything via phone on Saturday morning (his day off!). Everything was taken care of right away. We will never take our car anywhere else. read more

Pretty bad customer experience. Initial communication was pretty rude, they asked me to fill-in the forms, otherwise, they'd cancel the appointment (this is happening a week before the appointment). Pickup wasn't smooth neither. They told me the car is ready and I can pick it up in the afternoon. I couldn't make it there the same day, so went to pick up my car next morning. And it was not ready still. I had to go back in the afternoon again.. I ended up loosing  couple hours in traffic because of them not knowing which car is mine, and whether its ready or not. Also, they didn't tell me the documents that I need to bring to the pick-up appointment, and asked me to pay in cash (because the check from the insurance company was not with me). Overall, very poor communication with customers. I'm not an expert about cars, can't make a comment on the work they've done on that side. read more

In reading some reviews and knowing that you can't make everyone happy no matter how hard you try, I would like to share my experiences with Metro Auto Rebuild. In the past I had taken my 2010 Mercedes GL to another Mercedes authorized repair facility and I was one of those persons that was not happy with the repairs after two attempts. They even admitted that their repairs were not up to standards and were willing to try again. I gave up on them and asked my auto insurance agent who they recommend ( I know you are thinking "cheap"), she said that MAR was honest and the best repair shop in town hands down. I am a perfectionist, and after two different repairs that MAR eventually did on the GL were FLAWLESS, I mean PERFECT. Metro Auto Rebuild even went to my insurance company and got additional repairs approved that were not just cosmetic to make it right. Well, today after my failure to buff out a half dozen scratches that my brother in law had done driving my GL too close to blackberry bushes, I went to MAR and asked if they could possibly get them out without painting. They had one of their painters look at it, he sand/buffed them all out while I waited, and they DIDN'T CHARGE ME for the repair! ARE YOU KIDDING ME, in this day and age!! I was flabbergasted. I am not related to, work for, nor have received any remuneration from Metro Auto Rebuild for this review, I am merely a satisfied customer.
