Had it towed to another shop who said they could have it done in 3 weeks. Got honest answers from them on day 1. Fix denied having received any payments from insurance company until I sent them copies of cancelled checks with their name on it. Now they want to charge me parts restocking fees-- not at their cost but at a markup. They are crooks.

They wanted the money insurance sent me upfront but got pissy when they had to wait a couple days for it to be deposited in my account. Not sure how common it is to demand money upfront. Assuming the only reason is because I'm a single woman and easy target. Based on how I was spoken to. He said "Don't get roadside assistance. Always sign up for rental reimbursement in the future." Um pretty sure I've had insurance for 25 years & you know nothing about my situation. So keep your opinions to yourself and write up & send an estimate before you demand $2,500.
