I used them to do a body work job on my little Mitsubishi that was over $3K in work elsewhere and I got it all done there perfectly for $2500.00 I go back there now and then for small body things and they are always so nice to me and do what I need and charge a small fee. They like if you use cash and I think they may give a cash discount but I am not positive. Absolutely amazing shop from the owner to its staff!! I was having an issue with my car from another shop working on it and Jorge was absolutely amazing, thoughtful, and kind to literally talk through with me on the problem I am dealing with for the noise coming from my car, and be able to get me help. On top of that, there were recommendations from the car dealership service to get work done and they literally told me that there were 3 out of the 5 things that didn't need to get done, cleaned them for me and showed me why it didn't need fixing. And one of the items that they said needed to be done, he was very transparent that I will have to get that done at the dealership just because of the effort of work needed. I recently had to take my car in for body work after an accident. My insurance company had some preferred body shops throughout Seattle, but two things stopped me from using them: 1) The reviews (I read all the ones for the last few years) were not the caliber that I seek. I like 5 star reviews with lots of good things to say. I didn't find that. 2) I knew that parts would have to be ordered for repairs and I was aware that parts were taking up to 6 months to obtain. When talking to these preferred providers, I asked if I could come in for an assessment of what they would have to replace (order) and pay them for the part, then bring my car in when the part arrived, saving on rental car costs. I was told that was not allowed. When I asked why, I was told "because that's the policy." That didn't work for me, so I went to Yelp and started looking for 4.5 to 5 star reviews and read them. I was REALLY impressed when I read the reviews for Hernandez Auto Repair, so I proceeded to give them a call. I called the office and talked to Paulo, who was very nice and accommodating. He was backed up, as all the good shops appear to be, but he was able to give me an appointment for a reasonable date to bring the car in. Best of all, he agreed that it made sense to come in so that he could assess the car and then order the part before I left my car on the lot. Finally, someone who ran his business in a fashion that was a benefit to his customer! He was also set up to work directly with State Farm to manage any changes throughout the process. I am thrilled to report that I took the car in and Paulo's mechanics fixed it like new and in less time than was originally estimated. Hernandez's location isn't fancy, but his mechanics did a top notch job and you won't be sorry if you take your car there for repair. I am super impressed with the work and timeliness of the repair from this shop. I was nervous about the communication at first between the insurance company covering the repair with the shop but it appears it all worked out and Oscar and his team was great in getting my car back as I did not have a rental car, and the work was outstanding! Took my GL63 AMG in for a quote today solely based on reviews. In the middle of looking at my vehicle; the male who half-wittedly assisted me stopped what He was doing on my quote to help another customer. 5 minutes after looking at very very minor damage that the dealership quoted 475.00 to fix...this guy came out with no paperwork and verbally stated...."This is going to cost between 800-900 dollars." I quickly laughed at the lack of professionalism displayed and drove about my way. It's not the cost that I have an issue with. It's the undertone of not being willing to provide the customer service in which the reviews reflect. I don't know if this was based on the man's preconceived notions of who He thought I am based on my appearance or if the man simply does t have the class to work on an AMG none-the-less; to break my visit up by assisting someone else mid-quote and to not put in writing what He was charging for (in my case a misaligned l driver side front bumper and a rear passenger side reflector) is very unprofessional and thus cannot and will not recommend this body shop solely based on unprofessionalism. Want to know a good way to throw away good money.....treat people like you don't need their business and continue to provide trash customer service. read more
