Signed up for yelp just so I could make this one post. I usually don't share feedback/reviews of places where I do business but I felt it was my duty to pass the word along regarding the great service and repairs offered by Metro Auto Rebuild.
I have had work done at Metro Auto Rebuild around 10-12 times over the past 6 years and they are hands down the best auto rebuild shop I've ever encountered. One collision on my S-class, a couple collisions on my 325i and lately they've done a ton of body modifications for my 550i.
First off, the people there are friendly and down to earth. All of them! Hell, the owner(!) insisted the other day that I throw my bicycle in his truck and he drop it off at my condo after I drove my bike down to their shop to pick up my car. These are real human beings who care about more than just doing great work- they really engage their customers on a personal level. So refreshing. I can't say enough about Ryan. Ryan is by far the most capable and honest project manager I've encountered. This guy even collaborated with BMW to do some fairly invasive retrofitting on my car and everything fit together flawlessly (and I'm an anal bastard). Great human being too.
The technicians at Metro Auto Rebuild know what they are doing. These guys have some serious skills. I'm talking near perfect paint matching, panel alignment, cleanliness, and great finishes. I haven't seen work done at any other shop that rivals what Metro Auto Rebuild does. Given that I've been there so many times for all sorts of work, I did encounter a scratch on my door once when I got home. I guess this sort of thing is bound to happen at some point, right? I was concerned if I took it back to them they might think that I did the scratch myself and that I might have made a story up and was trying to scam them to fix my door, but they took responsibility for the scratch and asked me to bring my car in to get it fixed. They fixed it for me and it didn't take that long either. Reasonable people.
Metro Auto Rebuild isn't the least expensive shop in the area, and I imagine it's probably got to do with the fact that they employ some of the best technicians, managers, use good materials, have secure storage for your vehicle, offer great service, etc, but you really get what you pay for. If you're like me and you don't have a ton of cash to blow on repairs or modifications, just drop in and ask the guys what your options are before going somewhere else. Who knows, maybe they've got some discounted parts laying around or know of a deal somewhere that you can hop on. Check with them first.
Scheduling with Metro Auto Rebuild is easy. They are usually able to meet a deadline and sometimes before the deadline. If you're having major work done to your car, just ask the project manager for their email and ping him/her once a week to check up on the status of your car. They'll email you right back with updates.
Also forgot to mention they have a courier as well, so if you need a ride to work or need to get somewhre while work is being done, a nice gentleman will drive you where you need to go free of charge.
Anyways, all in all, I am impressed with every aspect of Metro Auto Rebuild and I encourage you to give them your business. read more
