I generally find most places that I need to go to on Yelp...for tinting i was completely overwhelmed! This time I got a recommendation from someone I trusted and confirmed their suggestion on Yelp =) I reached out to David via text first. He sent me quote and we scheduled my visit. David made it very easy and he was open to giving me his suggestions on darkness of tint and type of tint (which i asked for) I got 2 cars Tinted yesterday. We dropped off 2022 Tesla before 9 am. I was purchasing the 2024 Corolla that day. Went down to pick up 2024 Corolla at noon and headed back up to drop it off for tinting. We dropped it off. Jorge (the guy doing the tinting) told us that Tesla would be ready by 3:00-3:30 ish. We went and ran more errands and returned at 3:20 and he was already working on car #2. my Tesla looks amazing! there are water spots that i noticed (i didn't say anything) and Jorge told me that they would go away. He told me to NOT roll down windows for 3-5 days and put a sticky reminder over the window buttons on door (thank goodness!) he told me that corolla would be ready about 7:00 that evening! I texted David and asked him to let me know if i needed to come earlier (i would have felt horrible if they finished earlier and had to wait for me to show up). he texted at 6:00 that my care was ready. nice looks great! Don't use for paintless repairs. I submitted a request for a bid. It was a quarter panel dent which only required paintless repair. Three bids came in between $350-400. Metro's bid was from $950 to $1,200! My dent was repaired for $350 and was flawless. My thinking is this is a physical location versus mobile. I understand the need to pay overhead. However, you should determine if mobile paintless repair is needed or body shop repair is needed. If it is paintless - you'll save 3-4 times the cost having a mobile repair come to your home or business. In addition, you don't need to drop off your car and pick it up! For major repairs, Metro would be a good place to get a bid. read more

I asked him to clean my smart car as a request from my bed bug exterminator. The exterminator said they were not likely in the car but it was a precaution that was not too difficult to take. The only thing I asked for is vacuum the interior. He refused to do the service. So I just wanted to let people know- if you need your car cleaned due to these reasons, either don't mention the reason you want it cleaned or just realize that he DOES NOT CLEAN CARS that come from houses that have any possible infestations. A couple of months ago I dislodged my trunk. Don't ask how. I went to Miramesa to get a quote and the guy at the body shop wanted to charge me $300. But then I found metro detailing on yelp and I decided to check it out. I ended up getting a quote for about $150, so I was skeptical about the quality of the job. But to my surprise they did a really great job and the trunk works just like new. They might be hard to find and they might not have their own building but these guys do quality work for cheap. Also, it only took about two days which I thought was really fast for having to order the parts and put the labor in. 5/5! read more

I found this business on the internet, while looking for a auto engine steam cleaning service. Called and got a very suitable appointment slot in the afternoon of the same day. I got a scratch on my rear bumper hitting a rock. I went to a body shop in kearny mesa, and they gave me an invoice of $800. Buy here Dave fixed it with less than a quarter of that price! And I can barely tell where was the scratch! A little bit hard to find the shop but absolutely worth it! I will try details here next time. read more

I'm in the process of selling my 2013 Toyota Corolla, so I took my car to David to get detailed before putting the ad on Craigslist. I dropped my car off at 12pm on a Friday and they were BUSY. I like to think thats a good sign! David and his crew were very friendly and while my car is in much better condition than when I first got there, I was a bit disappointed with the final results. First, the gentleman working on my car said it was finished, but as I approached my car I noticed there were still wax swirls on an entire side. He apologized and wiped them away. Then I noticed the small scratch I paid $50 to have covered was hardly covered at all. David applied another layer of paint, but I'm still convinced I could have gotten the same results doing it myself and saving the $50. Ouch. David also noticed that the areas around the outside of my tire hadn't been cleaned properly, so he had his guy re-clean them only to tell me that it appeared I drove through paint or concrete. He said they could try paint remover, but that it would be another extra charge if they had to repaint them. Short on time and money, I decided to just take it as is. After getting into my car, I did notice the inside looked sparkling minus a few smudges on the windshield, but the worst part is that my car stunk of sweat. I drove right to Autozone and got an air freshener. SO, my advice is try to go when they are less busy and maybe they'll pay more attention to detail or maybe you get what you pay for. I purchased the Yelp deal and perhaps if I had spent the money to do the complete repaint (extra ~$200) I would be writing a much different review. read more

David did a great job detailing my 2003 VW Eurovan MV Weekender. I'm planning to sell it so I needed someone to really make it look great from top to bottom and he delivered. There is no way anyone would be able to guess the van has 174k miles after the job he did on it. He even pulled out a couple of door dings. The interior and engine compartment also look great. This review reflects my experience from about a year ago. My 2011 Infiniti G37 Coupe was approaching its end-lease term. I have not taken care of that car, it has been hit and run and I have covered it up with touch-up paint, the floor mat had a gum stuck on it, the windshield had a chip, hood latches not working properly. So it was either, I pay to get it flawlessly detailed for $150 or pay $1000s of dealership charge backs if I returned the vehicle in that condition. The detail took a whole day. I was initially thinking, what the heck they taking so long? but once I went to pick up the car, dang. No wonder it took all day. I actually wanted to keep the car and not return it back to the dealership. Anyways, I went ahead and returned the G37, the dealership didn't see any of the damages significant enough to charge me. In my opinion, that car needed new paint job for front and rear bumper and a new windshield and new leather seats. I feel bad for whoever bought that car from the used lot. But yeah. These guys are flawless. I have introduced to my friends who gets their car detailed once every 2 weeks (nuts, that's what I said) and I hear only good feedbacks. I'm planning to take my new car in for some detail sometime soon. read more

We took my ten year old Toyota Highlander to David & it now looks like a brand new car. Living at the beach with the usual marine moisture, not having the car protected in a garage & the dirt & grime from living on a very busy street has done a number on the paint job, head lights etc. The paint on the roof was flaking off, the hood would soon be doing the same thing & someone keyed almost the entire length of the passenger side.
