I don't tend to write reviews but yall irritated me today... I came in today for a quick wash and vacuuming, everything was going good until I went to walk back to my car. I have my family's two country flags hanging from my driver and passenger seats, as I was walking I went to throw away my trash and saw a bin. I looked in to make sure it was a trash bin and saw a bright red cloth covered in dirt, for some reason I reached in and it was MY FLAG. It looked like it had been sucked up by the vacuum and rather than take accountability for a mistake (which I would've been ok with), yall threw away something important to me!! I can always wash the flag but the person who gave it to me is no longer here and the memories it holds are important. Love this place! Discovered it several years ago, always a solid job. Back then it was with a smaller car and mostly dog hair and sand from beaching and camping. These days it's a mom-van and 3 boys. Took all the car seats out and asked them to vacuum in the stow and go compartments since they were filled with crumbs too which they happily did. You'd never know with how clean they got it! Very grateful for the job they did. I got the Super Supreme Wash and was a bit hesitant considering my car was very dirty but I felt like every penny was worth it. AMAZING! I went at 8am, no other cars. I got the super plus wash $43. They scrubbed my car with soap BEFORE it went through the automatic wash. Once finished i pulled to the "detail" area. I took my dog on a walk while they finished. Came back to a NEW CAR. The all weather mats were well cleaned, car was vacuumed, interior was left pristine! Will be going back! Car Enthusiasts Beware I went to this carwash because they're one of the few places that have a higher review. I normally don't go through automatic carwashes but figured that they have hand drying so should be nice and would work well enough. My mistake. I like the fact that they pre-soaked the car and pressure washed it manually to remove stuck bugs and stuff. Everything was going well until they brought out the BRUSHES. It literally looked like a broom. I was just wishing the whole time it was soft. "Please be soft bristles. Please be soft bristles." They went through my bumper. I was like, ok, maybe it's to remove the bugs from my road trips. That's fine. Then they went through my windshield. Ok. That's good, it's glass anyway. And then they proceeded to brush my entire car. The entire thing probably lasted about 30 seconds but it felt like eternity to me. I just recently had my car go through a 2-step paint correction 6 months ago -- now I probably have to go through it again. (See picture) For normal car people, the carwash itself was very short. The water they used for rinsing also left watermarks -- so you have to make sure to remove all water drippings after or else it would leave a mark. This isn't the case for most automatic carwash since they use a special rinsing agent and soften the water. The hand drying was nice and convenient but I would honestly rather go to a place that doesn't leave watermarks in the first place. read more

The timing of the auto-car wash as you're being wheeled through seems to be getting shorter and shorter. I called and asked the owner or manager about this and they denied it. Another big reason for only two stars is that their rim cleaning is not good, not thorough, at all. Still, because it is convenient, I have gone back. I do like that I can vacuum my vehicle at no extra charge, but here's the things that stand out; they always leave a lot of drips everywhere on the car[s]. I pay extra for the rim and tire service and they do a horrible, poor job on cleaning the rims. I mean, who wants to be the person appearing to be like a nit-picker to the 'audience' sitting on the benches near by, as you point out the cleaning the was not done? ; [ Not me. As of late, the windows have not been done thoroughly. This morning I am preparing to go to lunch with a good friend, and I just finished a project, so my truck needed a little TLC. I drove over to Challenger [noting that I did check their Sunday hours and it said 8:00 am!] Nope CLOSED @ 8:05 am ; [ Next, I found myself driving clear out to Lemon Grove to the carwash on Broadway. For a few bucks more they clean in and out + full service wheel cleaning. The situation is; Challenger has become too much of a challenge. I hate to admit it, but I haven't tipped them for the last few times because of their lame cursory cleaning and then I am left to be the detailer. Sad face, again. I got smarter on my most recent visit and came right at opening. It has been months since my last car wash, so I splurged and went with the SUPER SUPREME! I wanted the inside out window cleaning, vaccuming, mat cleaning. I don't enjoy doing any of this stuff, so $28 was not a bad deal to have someone else do it for me. Was it perfect? Not really. I got the Super Supreme wash for $28. My only complaint is they should put more signs on where to enter. I entered thru the side street, I think it's Wilson, but it looked like that is how you go in for self wash. They have stations where you can clean and vacuum yourself...if you want them to wash, it is another line and cars were entering through El Cajon, apparently it all goes through an automated machine wash first, after you order and pay. None of the cars would let me in...so I backed out and went around and waited on El Cajon which is actually the bus lane! There were 2 other cars ahead of me before I could actually get in the lot, there was not a lot of space between me and the car in front of me, yet a car still decided to cut in front of me! Aside from the long line and unclear entrance, the service itself was good, for under $30. It came with air freshener, which is just the tree shaped kind you put on your mirror. It took about 30 minutes after the exterior washing for the interior to be ready. They put some kind of oil all over the dash and surfaces. It looked nice and shiny but it was kind of annoying everywhere i touched was oily. The floor mats were nicely cleaned and vacuumed. They didn't clean the trunk though. I am not sure if it's because they forgot or if it's just not part of the package. Overall, I am satisfied with the wash and would return next time. read more

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. I was pleased to see a gentleman at the front with a big bucket of soapy water and a brush. It's really the best way to get all those spots off. Actually another fella came up so there were two, one on each side. The only part I didn't like was the bad smell inside where the recycled water must have a bad odor. Once through there, four workers were standing at the exit area with soft towels ready to hand wipe every part of my car. I gave a four dollar tip so for $15, I got a good deal. read more

Now, let me preface this with the fact that I have two big beautiful dogs that shed their....erm..."love fibers" all over the place. I mean, there had to have been a dog sized pile of fur strewn about the cabin of my car when I dropped it off. 20 minutes later, a singular sorrowful strand of fur lay upon my dash, wondering what awful fate befell it's brethren to leave it here alone upon this earth. Four stars instead of five because they used a bit too much wax on the steering wheel and dash. I left that place trying to steer my car like a county fair patron trying to catch a greased up pig. Also, the manager was having a pretty colorful discussion with a patron about one of his employees "acting gay", "looking gay", etc. Enter me: pulling up to pay for my wash in my pride shirt, my super gay prius, and being overly excited about the rainbow soap bubbles about to engulf my vehicle with me still inside.
