We work with master gardeners and designers so we don't generally hire LJ for landscaping. The total paid to LJ including labor and supplies was approx $30,000. Many of the projects were completed to our delight, some to our satisfaction, and most recently we noticed a slip in quality. Overall we recommend LJ. And would suggest Ro anyone engaging them to walk everything down - grading, elevation, proper footing, dimensions, methods TWICE. Go over everything twice. Make sure you are on the same page and that the final intended put-through end result is CLEAR. What they did: 1) retaining walls - mortared w flagstone (6) 2) retaining wall - dry stack w shale (1) 3) added stairs to existing wall (3) 4) flagstone walkway (4) 5) convert lawn to river rock bed (1) 6) add shale surfacing to compressor slab (2) 7) install compressor slab to protect/land HVAC and split compressors 8) weed, edge, mulch large garden bed (1) 9) install flagstone landings (3) 10) source, deliver and place large boulders (one pallet)

But as a warning to others, there…read moreare a few things they don't do: 1) They don't put in writing the agreed upon work. 2) If they don't complete a part of the job that was discussed during the quote, they won't return to complete the job. 3)They will not even respond to messages about the incomplete part of the work (see photo). Proceed with caution. Write down all the things you want them to do, and go through your list before you pay. Once they are paid, there is no customer service.

The lot is sloped and there are several stone retaining walls and stairs to navigate. It isn't an easy property to work with. Demolition had to be done by hand. They did a great job. The crew showed up everyday at 7:30am. The site was organized and anytime I needed to get out of my driveway, they always accommodated me. Coordination with our lighting and irrigation contractor was seamless. When I decided I didn't like the brick edging on the new flagstone path, the price to re-do it in flagstone was more than fair. We are really glad our landscape designer, Greenhart Designs recommended them.

Ok so over the years we have worked with many landscaping companies…read more 1. Bo said he would arrive and, he was at our house within 5 minutes of the time he said. 2. Once we had a chance to review he and the crew were off and running. The overall job done is simply amazing. We had them clean up our front yard (it looks nice now!!!) and remove a tree. You can't even tell there was a tree before. He cleaned out our front flower beds and added a beautiful gravel area replacing the mulch. This was such a simple and easy process! Oh, and Bo is a hoot!
