Nathan is a NEW owner and he took my money and pretended to install a new compressor and 30 minutes after he left, it stopped working. I called and called and he would not answer. He finally came back a few days later (said all his tools were locked in his truck) and he said he saw what the problem was and would come back in a few days to fix the "secondary" problem. All the while being as friendly as he could be. I immediately called a new company out who showed me the serial number inside was the original compressor from 2017 and NOTHING was new and it was filthy. They fixed it that night. Nothing needed to be changed out. I was able to put a stop payment on the credit card for 1/2 the amount (hopefully) but the rest was cash. (stupid). He said his card reader wasn't working. THIS IS NOT THE SAME COMPANY AS BEFORE. HE IS A FRAUD.

The tech did not find anything wrong with the evaporator coil (which would've been a $5100 repair). However, he claimed that there were all these leaks in the ducts and they needed to be cleaned as well. He also said the AC unit needed to be cleaned and a UV light should be added. The cost of all the work that he said was needed was, surprisingly, also $5100. I thought his findings to be odd since I've had the system looked at many times before and no one has said anything about leaks in the ducts (although I had been told there was a lot of biological material in the AC unit). I decided to get a third opinion and that company could not find any leaks in the ductwork, and while the AC unit needed to be cleaned and add a UV light, what was actually needed (if I wanted to eliminate the biological growth) was actually more like $1100, a much lower price point. Before getting any work by them done, make sure to get at least a second opinion.

He put on shoe covers and I escorted him to a room I want to setup to be a server room (so it has some atypical cooling needs). He looked at my load center (circuit breaker), went up into the attic, and we walked around to the side of the house where my current air conditioning compressor is located. He then went out to his company truck to figure up some numbers to offer me three initial options. He provided me a quote for the ductless air conditioner I originally asked for, and two other quotes for a air conditioning systems which would be dedicated to my home office / server room. The time from first call to Randy driving away was only about 1.5 hours. Sharjeel was extremely detailed, professional, courteous, and thorough. He took the time to make sure the drain line was completely cleared and that everything was functioning and draining correctly before finishing the job. I especially appreciated that he went above and beyond rather than simply completing the minimum required service. It is refreshing to work with a technician who takes pride in his work and genuinely wants to make sure the customer is taken care of. But our last routine maintenance on 5/15/26 resulted in our large AC system not working. We called and were told we could schedule an appointment for 5/21/26. We certainly expected they would send someone to us that night since they caused the problem. It was a working system prior to their routine checkup. They did say we could 'try to get on the list' if we called Saturday morning. Otherwise we could make an appointment for 5/21. I called to talk to Tiffany (owner) this morning and was told she was not in today. I asked to have her call me as soon as possible. I was then told she did not work there anymore. I asked if she or the family sold it. I was given a runaround but was eventually put on hold and then the phone call was dropped. He didn't try to sell us off on extra equipment that we didn't need. He identified the problem and gave us our options. We called back and they said they would be out the next day to fix the unit. During the visit I asked the tech Keith if he needed to open up the unit to inspect the AC/Heat. He stated that it probably didn't need it if I kept my air filters clean and changed out regularly. I then also paid additionally to have customer provided back up drain pans replaced. Now today when I am using the heater for the first time since the service visit the unit is not providing warm air. When I called Air Performance today to state the issue along with my concerns, I was told that I would be required to pay another service visit fee. I stated that I do not feel the HVAC inspection on the 11/19 service call was ever performed and that I should not be required to pay another fee for service I already paid for that was not performed. I was told that was the only thing they were willing to do and that I cannot prove that the inspection was not performed. I then stated that I do not feel this is the right way to treat a customer in this situation and gave every opportunity for your company to make it right. I asked the woman on the phone to ask Keith if he performed the inspection and she stated he was not there. I asked to speak with the Manager and she stated he wasn't available. I asked her to call Keith to ask him about the services performed or not performed. I asked for the Manager to call me so we can have this resolved immediately. I am currently awaiting follow up communication on how this can be resolved satisfactorily. It is very cold right now and me and my family should not have to suffer because a company has refused so far to make it right without sticking me with duplicate costs. I will be exploring all legal remedies afforded to consumers, especially with the current freezing temperatures and the health and safety hazard that this unresolved situation has presented. We have two AC units (upstairs / downstairs) and they BOTH went out on the SAME day. In August. 100+ degrees inside. It quickly rose to 90+ degrees inside. I submitted an online service request at some crazy hour like 2 am, and when I called at 7 am, Pete answered and already had me on the schedule for that afternoon. Pete and his team arrived on time and fixed unit #1 the same afternoon, less than 24 hours after my initial request. The price was very reasonable and they were friendly and super efficient. Unit #2 needed a total replacement, which was not surprising considering it was 32 (!!) years old. In Texas!! Big expense, but not surprising. Pete worked REALLY hard to help us find the most cost effective option. We got a second quote on the final recommendation and J & Sons' price was totally competitive. Pete and his team installed the unit within days of our go-ahead, and again were super friendly, reachable, and skilled. We discovered a ceiling leak near the AC unit later on the day of installation. I assumed the leak was related to the new AC unit. Pete came back to our house way after hours, checked it out, determined it was COMPLETELY UNRELATED to the new unit, was super nice, and STILL gave us suggestions on how to fix it. This company, and our contact, have taken a very stressful and expensive situation and have made it SO much better for my family and me. Pete really cares about helping people and invests himself in solving problems. I'm very appreciative and would absolutely do business with this company again.

Never again getting them for any services , overcharging , unprofessional to talk to their clients, and completely rude and not reliable. Also he said he would return me my money " for being a nice person " and when he saw the review I left he got so mad and said you ain't getting nothing back. Super unprofessional, I do not recommend these guys if you're looking for a reliable person.
