Large cheese and pep, well done

We live in West Seneca, never even heard of them before. A random semi-drunken pick up easily turned into a top 3 local pizza experience. Quality of the pizza is fantastic. Got it well done, the cheese bubbles and chars more evenly than probably every other place we ask for well done. Definitely a sexy looking pizza. Was excellent. Will easily be a go-to spot for us. They're apparently famous for the subs too, will try those next. Highly recommend.

False advertising. Buffalo does not have a metro.

Metro is some of the best pizza in the Buffalo "Metro" area. It's especially good when riding the "Metro" Undeground Train. And it's the favourite of burly rugged manly men as well as "Metro" sexuals. Unfortunately none of this is true because (a) nobody calls this area the Metro area, (b) there's no Subway near here and (c) Buffalo doesn't actually have rugged men, just metrosexuals. What to get: Slices What else: Dices, Blends, Chops and Purées! What are you talking about: Oh sorry I thought I was selling a kitchen cooking contraption on an infomercial. Oh, tell me more: Well if you call IN THE NEXT FIVE MINUTES you can get an extra one for free! Just pay separate shipping & handling! Buffalo has some of the best pizza in the world. Sadly people will tell you otherwise, especially people who don't appreciate what their hometown does well, or people who prefer refined Italian wannabe pizza or thin crust NYC slices, which I admit are amazing, when done right. Or if you're not from around here, the thick gooey doughy saucy cheesy greasy greasy greasy (did I mention greasy) style might throw you off. That's a shame. You don't come to Buffalo for health food. We're sorely lacking in serious contenders along those lines. But when it comes to pizza there are probably 50 great pizzerias and lots of good ones too. You can tell Metro is one of the great ones by the long lines in here at any given time of day. You might have to wait a few minutes for a slice, in one of their snaky lines out the door. It's typical doughy gooey deliciousness that I told you about before. Make sure your slice is piping hot, and don't burn yourself on the glistening oil. And that's about all there is to it. BUT WAIT... If you call IN THE NEXT 30 SECONDS I will throw in a free date with a Buffalo-area metrosexual man* ** *** * Me ** Available to males, females, those who are both, and those not defining themselves as one or the other *** Clothing sold separately must be 18 years or older to order can not be combined with any other metrosexuals may cause irreversible damage to kidneys and liver

Honestly I've never had their pizza because I'm a bit picky about where I get pizza from. But I have had their sub's and I love coming here for their antipasto. THEY DO NOT SKIMP ON THE MEAT! Their salad always taste fresh and it's made to order; unlike some places that keep ready made salad in the fridge for who knows how long. The place is small with very little standing room and no seating area. So it's best to call ahead and order to go or stop by and be prepared to wait for a bit. They offer delivery as well. During the week they have specials and even on the weekend they have pizza and wing specials.

+ excellent pizza - slow cool, interesting neighborhood, dive place We called ahead for a large pizza and they told me 25-30 minutes. Got there in 30 minutes to pick it up and they said another 15 minutes. Came back 20 minutes later and still had to wait another 10. Ugh! But, the good news is that it is Really Really good pizza. Small pepperoni that curls up, tons of cheese, lots of toppings, sweet sauce, fresh crispy crust--they know how to make a mean pie! The guys working in there are a rowdy bunch, but they are friendly. The neighborhood is pretty sketchy, so bring a friend when you do a pickup, lol. Place looks like a dive inside, and you can't eat in there. You park on the street. Lock your doors.

Wanted some fast food this weekend because I've been cooking every day due to this virus and I had seen someone on social media post a pic of a steak pizza from Metro and I thought it looked delicious! So I ordered it along with some wings. The pizza was fresh and hot out of the oven and every bite was amazing! I would recommend a must try for steak pizza. The wings were half mild and half honey mustard, both were very good, I favored the honey mustard more and they could've been a little bit crispier. I will be ordering this meal again!!

I made my first ever stop at Metro Pizza a few days ago while at work and in search of a quick lunch. From the outside it looks like a typical fast pizza place and it certainly doesn't look any different on the inside (pizza places don't need to be fancy, very okay with this). They have a big poster in the window advertising a lunch special which comes to $6.25 for 2 pieces of pizza and a beverage (I personally went with a Canada Dry Ginger Ale). I was in and out in under 3 minutes and ready to dig in. I'm not saying the pizza here is bad, by any means. But in a city full of chunky flavourful pizza, these slices just didn't do it for me. Like I said, they were not bad slices, but I also wouldn't call them all that good. If you like thin pizza maybe you'll love this place, I see a lot of others did, however for me, it just wasn't anything memorable.

I had heard good things about Naked City Pizza, so I decided to take a break from my usual spots and give them a try and overall, I am very pleased! I called around 4:45pm on a Saturday and a gentleman took my order. He was courteous and friendly and said my order would be ready in 25-30 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, easily finding a parking spot in their large parking lot, which is a mixture of pavement and dirt/gravel. Walking inside the shop, it's similar to most Buffalo pizza shops where it's relatively small and really about take-out, not for dining in. There were a few young guys working the counter and ovens, they were able to get me in and out quickly. From the limited time I was inside, the workers were friendly enough, they seemed to get along well. For dinner, I ordered a Quarter Sheet (6 slices) Steak and Three Cheese pizza but the gentleman who took my order over the phone put my order in as a Half Sheet (12 slices). They realized the mistake too late and gave me the Half Sheet for the Quarter Sheet price! I really do appreciate that, it's great customer service. I have half a pizza leftover for a quick dinner now! Naked City Pizza nails the traditional Buffalo-style with a doughier undercarriage and nice crispy, chewy crust. The dough was airy but it didn't seem as "heavy" as many other pizza places around Buffalo, but maybe I was just REALLY hungry. haha For their steak pizza, it seems like they use thicker pieces of steak, which was great, definitely felt more substantial. Most steak pizzas come topped with banana, hot, or sweet (bell/green) peppers, but Naked City uses roasted red peppers, which are sweet and have a more distinct flavor and softer texture - I was impressed, this paired VERY well with the other components! Along with them, there's also onions on top. The three cheeses used are cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan, which of course are delicious. In addition to the roasted sweet peppers, the other component that I was surprised by was the white garlic sauce as the base. Steak pizzas around Buffalo vary from using a "hoagie oil/sauce" to just a huge variety of cheeses, no base sauce of any kind. I tend to stay away from white sauce on pizza as it's usually associated with garlic (I don't want my breath to be too... fragrant haha), but this wasn't too garlic-y, I didn't feel like I was "wearing it". I enjoyed the added creaminess the white sauce added to this pie. After six slices, I stopped myself and put the other half in the freezer. The six slices I had were delicious and filled me up nicely - The squares were cut nicely and they were plenty filling with tons of meat and cheese. I have a feeling these will reheat in the oven nicely. Looking at the prices, I was impressed too with how affordable Naked City Pizza is! All-in-all, I'm glad I gave Naked City Pizza a chance and had a great experience! The staff are friendly enough and quick, it's easy to get in and out quickly, and the pizza is traditional Buffalo-style so it's on the heartier end while being affordable. I look forward to ordering and trying a red sauce pizza from Naked City Pizza to see how sweet their sauce is.

From the outside, the restaurant was inviting, with a clean and nicely kept outdoor seating area. The inside was equally pleasing, with a full view of the pizzas being prepared! The greeting upon entering? It felt like a longtime customer coming back for another visit! Enthusiasm, laughter, and genuinely good energy right from the start. Love that! On the menu for this visit: Panzanella Salad, a half-pepperoni/half-sausage pizza, and Affogato. The Panzanella was beautiful in presentation and tasted just as good. Firm, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, red onions, crostini, and dressing that all complemented each other perfectly. Refreshing and delish! The Affogato...AffoMazing!! Such a simple combination: espresso and vanilla gelato/ice cream, but goodness!! Sometimes simple is all you need. Now, the : At first, I was getting ready to be unimpressed. But NOPE! I haven't been to Italy in a little while, but this pizza was freaking close, if not spot-on, when it comes to authenticity! Brick-oven baked with a light crust, chunky real tomato sauce (forgot to ask if it was home-made), just the right amount of cheese, and REAL pepperoni and sausage. And did I mention...very little grease?! The taste was light, fresh, and not overly filling, just right! Overall, Forno Napoli was a fantastic choice! Great atmosphere, warm service, fresh food, and pizza that brought back a little taste of Italy. Definitely worth a visit! Ciao

I took my son there for lunch the other day, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who as it turns out, I knew from his previous restaurants stops. I hadn't seen him in about 15 years, but I recognized him instantly. Great service, polite and courteous staff, and delicious fresh food, are my initial reactions. I was surprised how good the San Franco pizza was! I also had a bowl of Pasta Fasola which was outstanding. I live in the city of Buffalo between Delaware and Elmwood and there are many pizza places around here, plus, I grew up on Bocce on Bailey pizza. However, the Forno Napoli pizza now ruins all others for me. I have never been to Italy, but I imagine this is what pizza is like there. Authentic and fresh. I'm taking all 3 of my kids back there tonight. Trying their salads and pasta as well. This place was very busy on a weekday at 4pm, so it is not a secret. It is also not cheap. You are paying for the quality of the food, and it is worth it.

Once you order, there is a back dining room with several different size tables, but all with Bills chairs, which is a neat trend we loved seeing in this area, despite being from Florida. The man who greeted us was kind helpful and I was impressed with the pizza options. We ordered: - Buffalo Chicken: had a really good flavor & was my favorite! - BBQ Chicken: my son loved it - Margerhita: also had a good flavor - Pickle: the best we've had by far - Beef Pattie: looks like a Jamaican one but isn't spicy and had a very strange almost veal or lamb taste. Overall the flavors of the pizzas were really very good, but unfortunately every slice was so overcooked and burnt that it quickly overtook the great flavor of each bite. Now, the thing is, everyone likes different kinds of pizza, and apparently Brooklyn style isn't necessarily our jam, but for something we really don't like (black crust), it was still very good and we would highly recommend it to people who like more cooked pizza.

This time I ordered their take on a WNY specialty pizza: the chicken finger pizza. In short, it was fantastic! Since I'm a member of their rewards program, I received a "$5 off your next order" code and figured it'd been a couple months since my last visit. The coupon couldn't have come at a better time. I placed my order online on a Saturday around 4:15pm for a 5:05pm pick-up. I know, you lose a bit of the personability when you don't call the restaurant to place an order, but online ordering is so easy and quick, and I love being able to pick my pick-up time and know my order will be ready, and paid for, when I arrive. As of 07/2026, the inside of One Pie Pizza Co. underwent a remodel. It's not as spacious, but I think it opens up their kitchen more, which I'm 100% on-board with since that means more pizza and other goodies. The staff are just as friendly and courteous as ever, I'm glad that hasn't changed. So, for dinner, I ordered a QTR Sheet (six slice) from their "SUPER Specialty Pizza" menu - The BFLO Chicken Finger (blue cheese base) cooked "LIGHT WELL DONE", which is a choice between their homemade red sauce or blue cheese base that is topped with diced chicken fingers, mozzarella cheese, and Frank's (medium) sauce. The "LIGHT WELL DONE" option is for cooking the dough underneath a bit more, firming it up, making it crispier. I like a little extra cook on my pizza as, sometimes, the Buffalo-style dough is a bit too limp, almost soggy/wet, which makes holding a slice... challenging. haha Now, I've had a few chicken finger pizzas throughout the years and while I love them, they don't always love me back. They're typically very dense pizzas thanks to all the cheese (blue cheese base AND cheese blends on top) but I was impressed with how well One Pie Pizza Co.'s sat. Don't get me wrong, this pizza is absolutely loaded. When I opened the box, I was worried how I was going to pick it up as it looked messy, but as they say, appearances can be deceiving! I was impressed and didn't finish my meal wearing it all over my hands and face. Every slice was generously topped, the flavor was spot-on. Now, I love a cheesy pizza, but I really appreciate the constraint One Pie Pizza Co. showed with not going overboard with a "blend" of cheeses on top of a blue cheese base - The layer of mozzarella was plenty, a great flavor on its own. As with all of their pizza, this left me happy and full. With that $5 off coupon, this brought the price to under $20, an incredible price, especially in 2026! One Pie Pizza Co. remains one of my favorite pizzas in Buffalo. I'm glad I finally tried their chicken finger pizza, this was excellent.
