I scheduled with metro towing between 3pm and 8pm to be picked up after selling my car on Peddle. I got a call at 1130 in the morning asking if I would be ready. I was at work so could not be present, but was told they would come back later in the day. I called their office at 5:30pm for a potential ETA, and the receptionist did not know about my tow. She finally located my tow appointment and told me to wait for a call. After waiting in my apartment all evening not able to get my errands done, I finally called metro towing again. Was not able to get in touch so had to call Peddle customer service. Peddle customer service also could not get in touch. I rescheduled for the following day, but after looking at these reviews I'm just going to cancel and ask for a different company. Horrible service and horrible customer service! Schedule was a 4 hour window (7:00 -11:00) so I called at 7:30 on the date of towing to inquire about approximate time and they asked wasn't I given a 4 hour window and said I'd get a call 1/2 hour before pick up but they never called. I called again after 11:00 and they said the truck had a broken winch cable and they would call me by 1:30 after it was replaced. Never called agai. I called them after 1:30 and they said they hadn't finished fixi the winch and would need to reschedule for another day. I asked why they didn't assign another truck and they said "We have more customers than just you, you know!" One of their drivers tried to run me off Route 128..Tailgating me so closely he's almost hit me all because I moved into his lane. I called metro towing to let them know what happened and they told me I was rude! Dude one of your drivers tried to run me off the road! This might be the most complicated service I have ever dealt with. They are not a smoothly operating company and don't even have contact numbers for their drivers. They are unable to pick up your car unless you pick up a call from an unknown number prior to them picking up the car. Just use any other company, this is hands down the worst service I've ever used. They said they would pick the car up yesterday and the car is still not gone a day after and I'm still trying to get the car removed. If only I could give a zero start rating. 1 star is far above what I would rate this company. Terrible experience! I got a good offer to sell my car via the Peddle website and accepted it. Peddle said the buyer, Metro Towing, would pick up the next day between 7 am-11 am. Needless to say, I got up at 6:30 and waited. Called both the tow company and Peddle at noonish and was told the driver would call. At 3:15 pm, I got a text from Peddle that Metro Towing cancelled. Huh?!!! I understand 'buyer's remorse', but you should at least call the seller to let them know you changed your mind. I looked them up here, after the fact. My pick up time was scheduled for 7-11a i called a few times for updates i was told driver was running on time. Called back again at 4pm and was told the driver started late he was still coming after i was told it needed to be rescheduled. I got hung up on and when i called back they didn't even have the audacity to speak, she just placed me on hold. VERYYYYYYYYY unprofessional. The fellow who was present to tow my vehicle was very kind, polite, delightful. However, that is about the end of the positive. I was given a window of 3pm-8pm only to receive a call at 11:30am stating they would be at the vehicle in a half hour for the tow, so a full 3.5 hours before the window, and in the middle of my work day. I was able to scoot over to my car, however an hour later the tow driver had still not arrived. I called the main number and encountered a very rude woman who told me she didn't have access to the internet and couldn't help, that I'd have to call the driver. I asked if here was a specific number and she said "what, did he call from a private number?" He did not, however it seemed (and I said this) presumptuous to just call back if it was his personal cell without asking if that was okay. She told me to just call him back. He was, again, very kind, but explained that his GPS took him in the wrong direction (it had not, he confirmed that he had, in fact, selected the wrong address) and it would be another half hour. Mistakes happen, I would have loved to have gotten a call saying "hey here's the situation" as I was just sitting in an auto repair parking lot waiting like a creeper. He arrived approximately an hour and a half after the original ETA. Again, he was very pleasant, very kind. Absolutely terrible customer service at Metro Towing. The company was supposed to come and pick up my Toyota Corolla for scrap and they canceled the first appointment and said they would come the next day and I could pick the time. I asked if they could come late morning and they said no problem. I got a notice. They would be coming between 11 and three and at 2:48. I called the Office. The receptionist was incredibly rude and I told her that no one had called me and no one was letting me know what was going on. She said "well your pick up time is between 11 o'clock and 3 o'clock", so I said "so they will be here in the next 11 minutes?" and she said "No that's not what I said". I started telling her that they had canceled on me the day before and she cut me off asking me to hold on and then the driver texted me and said they would be there within the next hour. I ended up having to miss work because of this. I should have been one of the first ones on the schedule since they canceled on me yesterday. I found them through an Application called Peddle. They know nothing about customer service or being on time. They don't have a problem inconveniencing any of their customers. They were given ~ 1 week advanced notice and they offered me a 4 hour window for pickup. After numerous calls and missing the 4 hour deadline. I sold my car to Peddle and had a scheduled pickup for Friday 7/30 between 7-11am. I called that morning at 7:15 and was told that they were short two drivers and it'd be awhile before the driver could come out. The person I spoke with was polite and courteous. A little after 11am the driver did show. He was very polite, nice and went above and beyond by removing my license plates (I didn't have the strength to do so). This place already got bad reputation the people that work here and highly disrespectful me and my dad was coming back from the market and a employee at metro towing had his truck parked halfway on the side walk in front of the gate where we struggled to get inside with 800 dollar groceries it was a lot of food my dad is sick with cancer, high blood pressure also has diabetes and one fault kidney my father not suppose to get mad. My dad kindly ask him if he could move so we could put the market upstairs . The metro employee act like he was gonna move his truck then he got out and was like fuck you I'm not moving . Starting cussing us out for no reason I got scared he getting to close to my father so I step in started arguing with him telling him to move . when he does not live in the apartment and we were having trouble getting inside . Just a whole argument his mom jump into the argument the people on the second floor be going through the back door to avoid confrontation because he's always park half way of the side walk blocking the gate for people to get in and out of the apartment the worst park he doesn't even live here or across the street . My car was, rightfully, towed from my apartment last night. I just moved, and forgot to put on my sticker. My bad. I call Metro and they tell me they have my car. I just moved - so I can't write down the address, but they are Metro Towing on Hyde Park Ave - so I get a Lyft and head there. But they've moved. Not that there's a sign at their old location, letting you know that (there isn't). Not that they told me that when I called (they didn't). So - I had to get a second Lyft. I arrive - and the guy working in the office, with the Metro shirt on, said, "I can't do that. Only the owner can. He's not here right now." I ask when he will be back (didn't know - maybe 10 minutes). I ask if he can call him - and he says he doesn't have the number. He goes to look for someone who does have the number. A lady who worked there (as far as I could tell the only decent person) called - but no answer. So I wait. And I wait. They arrive - and believe that there is no issue, and that my time is not valuable. Did I behave well? At first - yes - I simply said that I was here to pick up my car. And then was told that no one was there. That that man couldn't give me the car. That it had to be the owner. The "owner" said that wasn't true - but that I had a bad attitude from the beginning and no one was obligated to assist me. I did not have a bad attitude from the beginning. I recognize my responsibility in not putting that sticker on my car. Here's the problem: Don't run a business if you aren't going to have people there who can assist you. Oh - and if your business is trolling in parking lots looking for people you can inconvenience - they're going to be a bit pissy. You might want to get used to that. You, however, have control over your behavior and business. If you're open - be there. If you've moved - tell people. And update your stuff. I had a very good experience with metro towing. They towed my motorcycle and my truck and no damage was done to either of them. They showed up in 30 mins and the driver was very nice.they had very clean truck so I would say I will be using metro towing again read more

I have not used Metro Towing, but I never will. Today one of their tow trucks went straight in a right turn only lane and cut our vehicle off. We followed it to the stop sign, where it decided it didn't need to stop and nearly caused an accident. After reading the other reviews, none of this negative behavior surprises me. If i could give 0 stars I would. The worst customer service I have ever had in my life. I was treated like a second class citizen. 1. Nobody actually works there during the day. If you're going to pick up your car, you need to call them in advance so someone shows up. They say "in advance" but they don't actually tell you what that means. You'll find out, that it means an HOUR in advance. It would have been great to know that before taking a cab to the place. They also have no waiting area so forget about showing up early and waiting in an enclosed area. 2. The city of boston has their location listed at a different address. After traveling to the wrong address in the pouring rain, the owner used a voice only acceptable for talking to a toddler to share with me the correct address and offered no apologies for not having the city fix their location. A neighbor told me this mix up happens all the time. 3. Once I had paid the attendant for the tow, he pointed me in the wrong direction to get my car and left before I even found it. I got to walk around in the rain by myself to find it in a giant parking lot. 4. Oh ya! they only take cash! How 21st century of them. Worst experience I've ever had. Adding my own experience to what others have said: Yesterday, a Metro towtruck blew through a red light and cut off my car as I proceeded through the intersection with my toddler in the backseat. I used my horn to indicate the presence of my small sedan, and the driver rolled down his window to yell "Eat a bag of d*cks, b*tch!" at me in return for honking when we pulled up to a light. In watching the towtruck continue down the street through a series of stoplights, the driver sped, changed lanes without signaling, and blew through a second red light. I am not telling you not to use this tow company so much as I am genuinely warning you to watch out for these guys. They are reckless, rude, and dangerous. read more
