Metuchen Dental Group is the best! When I first started going to this dental group, I had neglected my oral health due to previous bad experiences. I became fearful of dental procedures. Dr. Kaplan and his staff were very instrumental in helping me regain my trust and eleviate fears about dental services and care. Dr. Kaplan told me he would not let me be in pain and somehow I believed him. Any discomfort I felt during a procedure was immediately addressed with positive outcomes. His assistant, Elaine, held my hand every step of the way, she's the best! By the way readers, my hygienist, Cathy is also the best! Together, they are the dental "Dream Team." Dr. Shalman is awesome. I'm a dentist scardy cat and avoid dental offices at all cost but due to my teeth neglect wound up with a horrible infection with the need for a tooth removal. Dr. Shalman was so understanding and gentle along with his assistant Le'Nisha. Instead of tooth shaming me lol, they took care of me with the utmost of caring. I actually scheduled another appointment to care for some other issues because my fear is minimal with this dentist. I truly appreciate this group. The office staff is also caring and friendly and put up with my shenanigans with care and understanding well. I'm happy to have found a dental group with down to earth, genuinely nice people. I had gone to a dentist a week before who told me that I had 8 cavities. I wanted a second opinion and a friend of mine recommended Metuchen Dental. The receptionist was so friendly and understanding and answered all of my questions. When I walked into the waiting room I immediately liked the place. It is clean and welcoming. I only waited for a few minutes in the waiting room. When I went in for my exam the staff and dentist were extremely friendly and made conversation to help me feel more comfortable. He ended up finding zero cavities (which was a great verdict for me to hear). Overall I felt very comfortable and will be going back there from now on. read more

My dental experiences before Metuchen Dental Group had been, frankly, pretty lousy. The practice is the best I have ever been to...great dentistry first and formost, but also a very pleasant and professional staff. Had a tooth pulled yesterday by Dr Govi (short version of his name). Did not feel a thing! He is amazing! Did not feel the needle, did not feel the tooth come out, and the whole process took less than 10 mins. Incredible experience! Dr Govi called me personally today to checkup. When I had an issue with a temporary crown on a recent Friday, one of the assistants made herself available on a Friday night to fix my problem. From the front office staff, to the hygienists, assistants, and Dentists, everyone is friendly, helpful, and professional. When I get work done they always make me feel comfortable.
