Seems my red sangria ($11, tasty but not worth a second one) wasn't on special anyway regardless of day, and son ordered a Pink Pony Club cocktail $13 which was really fun. We dove straight into entrees, son ordering the non-traditional cheese steak quesadilla and absolutely raving about it. Not bad for a kid who was an insanely picky eater as a child! His girlfriend chose the pork carnitas, with 3 corn tortillas underneath it made succulent tacos. Husband had the enchiladas de pollo, a nice plate of chicken tinga and corn tortillas with crumbled cheese over red sauce. Interesting none of these dishes include a side but the individual prices are around $15. I had the 3 blackened mahi tacos, and found them to be really dry. I asked for some salsa. Waiter brought out a fabulous roasted salsa that I literally wanted to drink what was left after I put it on my tacos. Bravo! Only bad thing was the $1.75 up charge we found on the bill for the morita salsa was not mentioned before it was delivered to our table. I let it go because the salsa was so excellent. It was not a bad meal, but $97. And because it was more than $50 they added a 20% gratuity automatically. It is at least highlighted on the bill so you don't pay it twice. Service was fast and efficient. We had paid for an hour and a half of parking and needed only 45 minutes, not a busy place on a Sunday night in 100° so service and kitchen were speedy. I was there with 3 other people (so 4 people total) and we ordered the chicken burrito, al pastor burrito, birria tacos, and chicken tacos. We waited almost an hour to receive these 4 things. Mind you-in that time we ordered diet cokes. The cokes tasted funny so we sent them back and asked for water instead. After that, we received another round of diet cokes Our food finally came and for it to take so long, it looked like it was sitting out because when I bit into my burrito, it wasn't even hot or warm. My burrito came with pineapple salsa. The color of the pineapple was borderline gray, so I smelled it. It smelled so SOUR. It was definitely past its expiration date. My friend's chicken tacos literally fell apart after attempting to bite them, meaning these tortillas were also old. My other friend's weren't satisfied with their food so we wanted to request a manager to let him know this. We only knew what he looked like because we literally saw him interviewing someone right in front of us a few minutes prior. Not only was he "not there" to speak to us, but they only offered 20% off the bill. Mind you-there's an automatic 20% gratuity no matter the party size so these guys basically were like "let's just take the tip off". Horrible food, terrible ambiance, horrible management. There are 3 floors with three separate gorgeous eating areas and 3 full service bars. I loved the decorative tequila bottles and the aesthetic of each floor. Definitely worth taking time to explore. We stopped by before catching an amazing show at Fallser Club. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an extra 10% discount on our food by showing our tickets. We had cocktails and got our food to go to eat at the venue. You won't find food pictures from me in this review because due some dietary restrictions my food wasn't packaged as it usually is served. For the next show we will be going early and eating onsite to fully enjoy all Cresta has to offer. We will also make sure to sit on the 3rd floor rooftop level to enjoy the view where the very large windows are opened to enjoy the fresh air when Mother Nature cooperates. Back to to the food and drink. The cocktails are unique, gorgeous and delicious. Each one crafted with garnishes like fresh orange peel and pineapple leaves. Cocktails can be ordered with sugar, salt, or tajan on the rims. I highly recommend the apple cider margarita and the La Kartina hibiscus cocktail. The photos don't even do them justice. I ordered the plantains, deconstructed veggie tacos and a side of Al pastor chicken. I also had a side of the guacamole. The guacamole was so fresh and flavorful and I loved the cheese added to the top. The chicken was flavorful, well seasoned and very colorful. The plantains were the perfect level of sweetness. Now, about that the art! I loved the decor and art. The art around the restaurant and the tshirts employees wore were designed by a bartender who I didn't get to meet. The murals were so colorful and detailed. One was more beautiful than the next. I found a very cool selfie mirror on the 2nd floor that I loved! The artist's insta handle was on the wall as well and is included in my photos. From an accessibility standpoint, the second and third floors can only be reached by stairs and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Relatively empty when we arrived about 6pm on Sunday, we had a choice to sit at the bar, outside, or even indoors. We took two corner bar seats, and the very friendly bartender got right to work. No cocktails today. Just a virgin margarita and a Mexican Coke along with waters. We split some guacamole and chips both of which tasted homemade on the spot, and while I had the shrimp tacos, my wife had the chicken empanadas. Both meals came out quick and were really good. I added some of my guacamole to the tacos, and the empanadas were full of chicken and were underneath an avalanche of lettuce and sour cream. Both meals were more than filling with the chips and guacamole. We made it to our show without any problems. It seemed that others were doing a pre-show dinner, too. About $75 including tax and tip with a 10% food discount. This included a Mexican Coke, virgin margarita, chips and guacamole, shrimp tacos, and chicken empanadas. We would definitely come back.
