Paloma, Chips & Salsa (verde, roja, hibiscus)

Awesome spot! The tacos (smoked tofu, steak) were yummy and I really loved their non-alcoholic paloma. Definitely try the hibiscus salsa, the smooth thick texture combined with sweet fruity heat was amazing! Service was prompt & they came over the perfect amount-- they were not asking how we were every 5 minutes which I appreciate lol. All of the folks who served our table were really kind! The third floor had a nice view & is great for late summer nights. Would love to come back for tacos & drinks again.

    Fish tacos

Fish tacos were less than 2 inches for $15. No toppings except some lettuce that fell in? I will let picture do the talking.

All service provided was excellent but this is the second time I went there to eat,and I've had the same experience with the bubble guts after. I'm not sure if it's the oil the food are being made with but Something just ain't right. I'm currently on my second bottle of peto bismol.

I am so excited to have this spot open up right around the corner from my house. You don't have a lot of good restaurants in this area. Le Bus is good, In Riva went down hill after the flood and black squirrel suxxx. So thank you so much for opening and on top of that it is delicious! My favorite part was the lime mousse with cookie crumbles. That was one of the best deserts I've had. We also got Churros which were perfectly crispy. We started with pineapple Guacamole. That was delicious. Not a large dish though. Which actually turned out to be a good thing since everything else was so large. We both got margaritas. Mine non alcoholic and hers alcoholic. Mine was excellent. She didn't think hers was alcoholic enough. I got the Cemita with the slow roasted pork. It was something I've never seen at any other Mexican restaurant. We sat at the front bar that is just open to the street. It was a beautiful view. Perfect date night with my wife. We will be regulars.

The food was delicious. Served promptly, hot, and good portion sizes. I enjoyed two different margaritas, shrimp tacos, and beans and rice. They have a bar area downstairs and tables and another bar upstairs. Our server answered our questions without having to go check on anything. The staff are pleasant and welcoming. Definitely a place I will return to. There is free street parking but it can be scarce due to this restaurant being in a residential neighborhood that is also popular for bikers, runners, and walkers. So you may end up a block or two away but you will find parking.

Desperately needed restaurant in an area with few sit down eat in places. Solid nachos and plantains. Good lively vibes on the inside and good margaritas.

Crests food actually had flavor and was some of the better Mexican food I've had in the area. Get ready to spend some $$ if you go though, it's not cheap at all. The music was super loud, which always bothers me because generally you go dining with others to talk and enjoy their company, not yell over terrible music. Service was very kind.

This was my second time here and everything has been nothing short of amazing!!!! The flavor of the food, the drinks, the service, literally everything has been great! They also have taco Tuesday deals!!! I think this is going to be my new go to spot for tacos as I have truly been searching all over for excellent tacos! Not to mention this place is a vibe I've come to celebrate with a friend and I've come to watch a playoff game. Each time it's been really fun!

I wouldn't say anything is particularly special, but nothing we've tried is terribly disappointing either. The menu titles towards guilty pleasure-type food, like Shrimp & Grits or Chicken & Waffles. Plates are large and busy and crowd-pleasing. If you order a salad here, make sure to ask that it be lightly dressed. The ambience and service are both good but diminished because you must shout to be heard by the person next to you.

HOW IS THIS PLACE SO BUSY?!…read more I really wanted to love it. The website looked great, and Sunday brunch feels like something that's honestly hard to mess up -- so maybe that's part of why it was so disappointing. It was kind of a disaster. And yet... it was packed? The food just wasn't good. Part of our order came out wrong (fine, it happens), but when the correct dishes arrived, they were cold. One plate had avocado purée that had already turned brown. The croissants were dense like dinner rolls. The short rib burrito had zero flavor. Truly zero. Breakfast potatoes were cold. Poached egg was seriously under poached. Server offered us utensils 15 minutes after our dishes arrived (we already asked someone else). Okay but the absolute worst part? The mimosas were completely flat. FLAT. How do you mess up bubbles? Apparently by having Prosecco on tap with a draft system that isn't up to par. It's hard to recover from lifeless champagne at brunch. The whole experience felt like a place that really wants to be a great city spot but hasn't figured out how to execute and gets by on decor, loud music, and literally nowhere else to go for a good Sunday brunch in Manayunk. The bartenders weren't particularly friendly -- with one exception: one noticed merch (from a somewhat obscure video game) my friend was wearing and bought him a shot, which was honestly the highlight of the afternoon.

Great new value-priced authentic Chinese food option in Manayunk!…read moreThere's a little bit of everything here, but a sampler suggests they do it all well, from Hong Kong to Sichuan, from dumplings to soups to seafood and vegetables. Everything we tried was spot on. Prices are reasonable but this is not average American-Chinese food. Lots for vegetarians. Fish fillet Szechuan Style was an unexpected delight -- almost a soup, packed with delicate flounder and a ma la slice that they'll adjust to your liking. String Beans could not have been cooked more perfectly. And all of the dumplings we tried were worthy. I look forward to exploring the menu more.

I hope that in a few weeks I can come back and give an updated 5 star review, but for now my suggestions is do take-out only. My partner and I sat down and ordered through a QR code. We got a few dishes and both got a specialty drink. We could see they were very busy with take-out orders, so were ready to wait a bit for our food and drinks. After an hour of waiting, we still had no water, no drinks, no food, no plates, no napkins, nothing. The line for take out was so long that guests were waiting right up against our table for the entire evening, which made the night feel crowded and awkward. The dishes were extremely scattered to come out. Our first dish of pumpkin buns only came out with two when the menu said we would have four. The server dropped it and ran off so fast we didn't even have a chance to bring it up. We didn't see her again until 30 minutes later when she brought our scallion pancakes, which she also quickly put on the table and had to run back to the take-out counter. Over all, it took an hour and a half to get all our food (pumpkin buns, scallion pancakes, veggie dumplings, and a tofu dish). We also had to get up and ask the server for water. She was just so busy that she only ever came around to our table to drop off food, so we never got water to start or once the food was brought to us. By the time we had finished eating we had been there for 2 hours and were READY to leave. The place was packed with take out orders the entire time and we were upset to have spent a date night in a cramped dinging area with our table being butt-height to all the guests waiting for their food. We had to get up again to flag down the server to get our check and make sure she took off the drinks that we never received. And for the icing on the cake, the take out containers we were given were dirty. So we had to flag her down AGAIN to get a clean one. I feel terrible leaving such a negative review for a new business. The food was so good, but it felt like a wasted evening sitting there all night. If you are craving dim sum I'd recommend ordering take out, but wait at least an hour after you place the order to even leave your house to get it. Some people were waiting for their food to go just as long as we were.

But this is also fitting…read moresince whether its been driving by it back in the day, or through gazing up at it on the hill when I was in Manayunk, La Collina is one of those places that has been in my peripheral vision for a few decades now! For 20+ years, I've known La Collina to be that fancy and classic-looking Italian restaurant on the hill that I've been needing to try. But it took coming across its name when doing my research for possible spots to go to for my birthday to put one and two together, and it led to quite the majestic experience. The friendly and hilarious valet attendants ensured that service was incredible before we even entered the building. And upon entry, we were treated to spot-on recommendations and quality service throughout the evening. For cocktails, I was in awe of the Anejo Old Fashioned, which used Patron and agave syrup instead of the usual whiskey offering, and I also appreciated the classic Negroni. For appetizers, the classic meatballs with homemade marinara and ricotta were an absolute delight, and the eggplant rolatini with spinach, prosciutto, and mozzarella was sheer perfection at its most decadent. For my entrée, I initially expected that I would be eating all the pasta. But the restaurant is also known for its seafood, and the risotto frutti di mare especially caught my eye. and with its calamari, clams, mussels, and shrimp, and perfectly cooked and seasoned rice it absolutely delivered the flavors! Toss in a salted caramel chocolate soufflé with a candle on top, and it easily made for another memorable birthday dinner and a deserving place to recommend!

Very disappointed in La Collina…read more We ALWAYS wanted to go here because we love italian and it looked awesome on the hill overlooking Manayunk. We booked reservations for our wedding anniversary here. I specifically asked for a window overlook view seat. This was not granted and we were placed in the back room by the bar. Service was poor. We spent 2 and a half hours at this restaurant mostly waiting for the food to come out and the server to bring us our check. I don't believe the server came back for drink refills until after we were done with out meals. The serving sizes like stated in other reviews are very poor for the price you pay. For 2 to eat here you are pushing 100 easily. I got the chicken parm and pretty sure there was a out 12-15 noodles with it. My wife did enjoy her seafood pasta with scallops, but the price outweighed the amount for sure. Overall I had high expectations for this place and it let us down big time. Hopefully they continue to improve so we can give it another chance.

They offer seating both inside and outside, and we chose the patio. Great decision! We enjoyed live music while we ate, which made for a fantastic atmosphere. I started with a Dimora cocktail, made with tequila and passion fruit. It was good, but it didn't quite steal the show. Now for the food. For an appetizer we shared a couple Margarita Pizzas, they were amazing! They also brought some bread, hint save some bread to soak up all that sauce let on your pasta plate! I ordered the Short Rib Gnocchi, and it was excellent, tender short rib, pillowy gnocchi, and a flavorful herbed wine sauce that brought everything together perfectly. Someone at our table ordered the Marry Me Tagliatelle, and wow... it was so good I'm actually glad I didn't order it. If I had, I might have gotten myself into trouble with my wife after spending the entire meal talking about Marry Me Tagliatelle pasta! The Ravioli was also outstanding and definitely worth ordering. The service was top-notch. Jessie was attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu, making the experience even better. If you live nearby, what are you waiting for?
