Erin is incredible!!!! She was my wedding coordinator and she seriously ROCKED. Her expertise was invaluable throughout the planning process. Tara is amazing! We hired Tara as a day-of-coordinator after I convinced my father that it was essential. After the wedding, he told me she was one of the best things he paid for! Our venue had a venue coordinator, but I knew I needed someone to help. I swear Tara must be cloned because she was so organized, efficient and on top of everything! She contacted all of my vendors, made timelines and checked in with us the entire night. She took over for the venue coordinator who was no where in site during our wedding or reception. Erin is the best. Period. I felt so lucky that she moved and expanded her business up to Northern California just in time to plan our wedding (in June in Napa). I really felt like she understood exactly what I wanted and loved and made it happen. Blame Lifetime or Oxygen, but I had very high expectations for a wedding planner. Those expectations unfortunately resulted in my interviewing six planners; Tara at Your Event by Erin was the last person I interviewed, and I'm not exaggerating when I say she felt like divine intervention. I liked her the moment she answered the phone. At a stressful stage in wedding planning, feeling lost without a planner and worried that we had picked the wrong venue, she immediately put my mind at ease. My husband proposed a month after we both finally landed our dream jobs which meant that throughout planning, we worked 60 hr weeks. Erin put together a 40th birthday party for me and the event was LOVELY. Everything flowed smoothly, the decor was beautiful and rich and harmonized. You would never know that at the appointed arrival time for her to set up, you couldn't get into the venue because there were all kinds of things stacked up everywhere and the floor was sopping wet. Erin got the room put together, and whipped towels out of her car to dry the floors herself. When I arrived an hour later to drop things off, she was perfectly calm and composed and was laying out a beautiful table. I was blissfully unaware of any previous problems. When the guests arrived, she ensured that the party flowed smoothly. 60+ people were able to be served food and drink easily and repeatedly with no wait. She completely got our foodie sensibilities and picked out terrific and interesting cheeses, flatbreads, crackers and fruits for the food tables. She had a perfect assortment of beverages as well, and had every bit of the food and drink arranged elegantly. The beautiful serving dishes she lent us were interspersed with lovely floral nosegays she had arranged, votives, and other personal touches. The flowers she chose harmonized beautifully, reflected the colors on the invitations and rendered a very rich feeling to every table. She put together creative personal touches like embossing my initial on coasters and arranged for decorative and fun desserts. The desserts she suggested were a great alternative to our original ideas (that weren't working out) and were more appropriate to the time of day. After the party, she stayed very late to clean and pack everything up while I was able to waltz off to dinner. She then delivered all the stuff back to us at home the next afternoon. Erin seemed to really have a knack for how to set up a great party, keep it flowing effortlessly and smoothly, and to make sure that everyone enjoyed themselves. Probably the most thoughtful thing she did was when my husband (unannounced) stood up to give a toast to me, she grabbed our abandoned camera and got the whole thing on film. A precious memory - preserved by Erin who, in a moment, knew this had to be recorded, found the camera, and figured out how to work it. This is evidence that she was also focused on the reason for the event and the people at the event, and the importance of the memories that would occur, in addition to the machinations of procuring, arranging, replenishing. In summary, it was a beautiful, beautiful event - made smooth and memorable and enhanced in so many ways by handing it all over to Erin. For the first time, at a party we threw, we really were able to relax, breathe easily, enjoy our guests and love the event. I hired Erin to do the day-of coordinating of my wedding. I would definitely recommend hiring her for the entire planning process. My mom and I thought we had it "all under control," however we did not. This meant that Erin had her hands full the day before and the day of the wedding. She managed to go above and beyond her role and helped out for an entire two days managing to tie up the many loose ends left by my mother and I. There are not enough words to describe the amazingness of Erin. My husband and I got married at Scripps Seaside Forum so we knew we would definitely need a Day of Coordinator. I researched tons of different coordinators online and selected three to interview. The meeting with the first coordinator went well but it was nothing special. Then we met Erin. From the moment I met her I felt like we were close friends. She has this calming and friendly air about her that I immediately knew would help my anxiety proneness on the day of the wedding. Don't get me wrong, I could also tell that she had a get it done attitude and would do whatever necessary to do just that. The third planner flaked out on us 5 minutes before our meeting but it didn't matter, I already knew Erin was the right choice for us and getting recommendations from other brides proved just that. No one had anything bad to say about her. In fact, both brides I contacted told me I would be crazy not to hire her. So we hired her for the Week of Coordination instead of day of and I'm so thankful that we did. We hired Erin a little over a year before the wedding and even though we only hired her for week of coordination she would e-mail me from time to time to ask how things were going. More than a few times she bailed me out of situations where I was about to rip out all of my hair with amazing words of wisdom as well as solution. It seems like she has been in the business for decades. And have you seen some of the pictures from events her and her company have put on? You need to go look right now if you haven't. During my whole planning process, I would look at the Facebook posts and seriously second guess my decision not to hire her to coordinate our whole wedding. I met with Erin a few times before the wedding to go over everything. With the week of services, she contacted all the vendors during the week of to make sure everything was in order and everyone knew what they were supposed to be doing. This was a huge help to me because we had tons of family in for the week. The day of the wedding, she was amazing. I had brought all of the decorations and gave her an idea of where I wanted some things but mostly I told her to just "do her thing". And that she did. Everything looked amazing. The whole night went seamlessly and it was 100% due to her. She seemed to have this sixth sense for when we needed something and would be right at my side asking what I needed the second I turned my head to look for her. Every single thing went smoothly which is a lot to say for a wedding and I can guarantee that that would not have happened without her. At the end of the night, she packed up everything for us so we could leave and continue on the party which was amazing. Tara is an angel from heaven. We hired her as a month-of-coordinator and she took care of all of our vendor contacts and helped us organize all of the details which was incredibly helpful. She listened to our vision and helped us realize it to the fullest. Tara was incredible! From the initial meeting until the actual wedding day, I felt like she was excited to help me create my dream wedding. Even though I had purchased the "day of plus" package, Tara was a wonderful phone and email resource for the months preceding the wedding. I immediately felt like she would be fun and easy to work with, but that she would also be able to take charge and make things happen. We had a do-it-yourself wedding at a rented home. The home was beautiful, but the owner turned out to be a total tyrant. Tara dealt with her with confidence and didn't let her push us around. She coordinated all of the vendors seamlessly, dealt with underlying family drama with class and professionalism, and would not let me help with anything (I tried, a lot...she just insisted I enjoy my day!). Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more and we definitely could not have pulled it off without Erin. So many people have told us how calm my husband and I were in the weeks leading up to our wedding and a lot of that is due to Erin!
