Pollo Yucatán

Mexican food is the best and Mexico food is even better. We've been here numerous times, but will be highlighting our favorites. We've always ordered the Shrimp and Crab enchiladas and the Chicken Yucatan. Both are delicious and bursting with flavors. The beef taco salad was something new I tried. I would have preferred the pieces to be cubed and not in strips. Their complimentary chips are alright, but they need to improve the salsa. It needs to be chunky. I always ask for their white sauce. Overall, I love coming here and would love to try other dishes too.

After 12 hours of driving and nearly two weeks straight of seafood, my soul was screaming for a margarita and melted cheese--and Mexico Restaurant delivered like a hero in queso-covered armor. We rolled in around 9 PM, weary and hungry, and were thrilled to find this spot right across from our hotel and still open. We grabbed seats at the bar and were instantly greeted with menus and warm hospitality. The second we said "yes" to chips, salsa, queso, and ice water, it felt like it all magically appeared. We ordered the strawberry jalapeño margaritas, and while they took a few minutes, they were worth the wait. Sweet, spicy, refreshing--my kind of trifecta. I loved the heat, but my boyfriend? Let's just say he was channeling Alicia Keys because his lips were on fire. (Zero complaints from me--I could've taken even more spice.) Food-wise, it hit the spot. He got the chimichanga, which was perfectly portioned and flavorful. I went à la carte with a cheese quesadilla and a cheese enchilada. Like I said I needed some melted cheese in my life lol... The enchilada was just okay, but the quesadilla? Delicious--especially when dunked in their zesty salsa with a sneaky little kick. Not sure why this place has anything less than glowing reviews, because our experience was solid across the board. Friendly service, tasty food, and a post-road-trip vibe reset. If you're nearby, don't sleep on it--especially if you're spicy-marg-curious.

Chori Pollo

First time ordering from here and the food was super flavorful. The chori pollo has just enough spice to keep you interested. The salads and ships are also tasty. My spouse is enjoying his steak with any grilled vegetables. We both with we had a little more queso on top of our food, but otherwise this was worth it! We also ordered through DoorDash and our food was still nice and hot!

Steamed steak and no chips or cheese.

First time trying this place. We placed a to go order. All of the orders were wrong - mostly missing items which we paid for. The meat was steamed. The supreme steak nachos had zero toppings and nothing packed up separately. The tacos were just chicken - nothing anything else. It was supposed to be refried beans. Instead it's pinto beans with a bit of cheese and no heads up that is what's coming. Stale chips. Bland queso. Not worth the drive! Just an awful first experience.

I was there on a Sunday night! Lot's of TVs with all the football games. Hot chips and salsa came quickly, and I liked the way the salsa was presented. I had the blackened Tilapia with veggies and rice, but most of the veggies were fried potatoes. The Tilapia was good, but very salty, But the service sitting at the bar was good.

It was still very good. Service was better than last time. Server Noticed drinks needed refilling. Without our asking. Got my usual chicken enchiladas. And had to take home one leftover enchilada. Spouse got the beef taco and beef enchilada. Both came with Spanish rice. We got a side of guacamole. It was a tasty addition to our meal. Overall a relaxing and good meal. Ended with a flan that we shared. It was a pleasure to finish with this sweet dessert.

Hanging out with the Cuzzo!

Asked for a plain steak burrito, and got a burrito sized enchilad. Meat was chewy and tasted mediocre.

The food here is up there with the best Mexican street food I've ever had -- maybe #2 for me! I usually get 3 tacos with different meats. You can have up to 2 different kinds of meat with a 3-taco order. I've had the carnitas, the carne azada, the chicken, the pastor, and the camarón. Everything is great, exactly as you'd want from street tacos. I've also had the quesadilla which is cheesy and crispy brown on the outside. Depending on who is there, you might need a little bit of Spanish, but they have always been patient with me, and I with them. Sometimes it's all English. Needing to speak a mix is a small price to pay for such delicious food, so don't worry about it! Thank you so much for such great food over the years! (As an aside, I'm not AI just because I used an em dash! Of course, that's what an AI would say, so I guess you'll just have to decide for yourself. )

I always recommend this place for anyone wanting authentic tacos at an affordable price! Everyone is always so friendly here!

He had high energy, even though it was a bit warm in the restaurant. He made some amazing mocktails; I had a virgin pina colada, and my partner got a "drank." I forgot what it was, but she said it was tasty. Note: If you don't like onions, be specific with the staff because the kitchen apparently loves them. We, however, do not. Ha That being said, I ordered the barbacoa street tacos (onions piled on top), and my partner ordered something similar, chicken tacos, maybe? Anyway, she had to send it back because they were all up inside the taco, and she wasn't having it. She ended up ordering a chimichanga or burrito-type entree, sans onions, and said it was exquisitely prepared, apart from the pico de gallo accompaniment. We had a great time here, and the staff was so accommodating; the service is top-notch at Kahlo's Taqueria and Bar. It was obvious by the number of regulars we saw come and go from the bar. All in all, we had a fabulous time; the food and drinks were sensational, and the staff was the star of the show. Will try again. I totally spaced on taking pictures of the food, but I did manage to snap a pic of our drinks at least.

From the moment we walke in, we recognized it for a warm, friendly, welcoming place. Our server was prompt and attentive, and while the food may not have been highly flavored, it was not bland as some other reviewers suggest. They should stick with Taco Bell if they think The Patron was poor. We each ordered burritos: mine was the carnitas. Unlike some places, it was filled with nothing but meat. Many places I've been to cram beans and rice into a burrito, and skimp on the meat. Eating here is as close to a religious experience as dining can get.

I ordered the steak fajitas and the meat was tough and overdone. I also felt like they were not very generous with the sour cream and guac. It was unusual that I got slices of tomato instead of pico de gallo. Others seemed pretty content with their meals. Service/Ambiance: I was pleasantly surprised that our server allowed our group of 20+ to do separate checks. We were also seated in a separate area so it was only our group in the room, which was nice, otherwise the restaurant itself can get quite loud. Unfortunately, we ran into some issues with our orders, extra tortillas were missed, and they brought out beef burritos instead of bean burritos for one of the orders. Would I come again? Only if I had a large group since the side room was nice, otherwise, I'd probably check out another place in the area.

These little, double-layered tacos packed a lot of flavor. Everything was delicious, but we agreed that our favorite was the carnitas (fried pork). It had a crunch to it that was perfect. All of the tacos were topped with cilantro and diced raw onions, but you can opt to not have it. They also had a sauce bar with different sauce options from the wimpy tomatillo sauce to the hottest. The server was friendly and nice. They also offered a good variety of menu items including desserts. I asked the waitress about their tacos on other days and she said they are $3.49 each and slightly bigger. Finding a cheap meal is hard these days. We will definitely be back.

This may seem like an unconventional spot for one to celebrate a 30th birthday, but the prices are on point, the flavors couldn't be more fabulous, and the service is always delivered with a smile. Freshly renovated, Restaurante Isabel is an oasis of warmth along the often desolate Route 1 corridor. The bright oranges and reds on the exterior and interior beckon you to try out her delectable dishes. Our party got pupusas, tacos, and gorditas choc full of carnitas, barbacoa, and chicken.
