Only giving this place two stars because we had a great server who was friendly, attentive, and had great work ethic. Other than that - our actual meal was 0/5. The menu has had some changes from the last time I went this summer and lacks any authentic Mexican flavors and ingredients now. Prices are noticeably higher with a single taco now being $7-$9 and drinks now at $16. Wish I took a look at the menu beforehand. The jamburrito was loaded with beans and rice, barely had any chicken or chorizo and had no flavor. Seasonal guac is not what it used to be either - guac had no flavor, barely any taste in the roasted pineapples, and the kitchen staff failed to let our server know that they were out of bacon. There are many other better options around in Stamford that are a fraction of the cost. Save your money and go to Cantina, Chichos, Cinco de Mayo, or Riviera Maya instead. read more

I was there on Saturday, 8/10/24 for my birthday with 3 other people... Even though the food and the rooftop dining were good, the service was not so good. Our waitress was attentive for the first 10 minutes. Then disappeared for 45 minutes.. my friends and I observed that she was more concerned with other tables. After almost an hour, we were FINALLY able to place our dinner order. We also observed that two tables near our table that had patrons up and left due to the lack of service..It's something we should've done. Service is EVERYTHING! This is a great place for brunch or if you're looking for a quick bite with a cute atmosphere. I've only come here for brunch, but loved it so much! The breakfast burrito is amazing, and if you're feeling like you want a little something extra, GET THE CASHEW QUESO!!! I don't care if you're not vegan. I'm not either, and that stuff is to DIE FOR. Perfect amount of spice and it's so creamyyyy. Pictures below is the breakfast margarita, which i also recommend, however i'm not the biggest fan of the cinnamon toast crunch rim. It's a great idea in theory, but they definitely crush up the cereal waaaaay before hand because both times it was stale. Slightly ruined the experience, so i'd ask for it without the rim, or get a sugar rim. Also, they took the beer they have from the brunch menu off and replaced it, but whatever the new one is is a couple bucks more. Not the worst, but also not the best. Service isn't the worst but i almost gave this review 3 stars because of it. My servers have always been very nice but they're not always attentive. And the times i've gone it's been dead, maybe only one or two other tables, so there's really no reason for the inattentive behavior. Wait staff treated me and a friend like we were invisible on a recent visit. Served customers who were seated after us. The bartender noticed and took our drink order. After 30 minutes we still hadn't been asked whether we'd been waited on nor for our order. We were seated closest to the kitchen so they all saw us. We frequent this place, always tip generously. The staff we normally see there are all nice. This night the staff was different and basically ignored us. There was only one obvious difference between us and the other customers. read more

Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. It's right on the water which I imagine would be quite nice on a good weather day, in comparison to our rainy experience. Food-wise, I recommend the tacos over the nachos. We got the lobster, crispy fish and the Nashville hot chicken tacos, and all were solid though if I had to pick one I would recommend the Nashville hot, though I wouldn't necessarily consider it very "hot" or spicy. I'm a huge nacho fan and though the brisket on top was good, there was too little of it. There also was minimal cheese and what I'm assuming was a bbq sauce? (idk it was brown) instead. I wasn't a fan of that substitution. Drinks-wise, the margaritas were solid. I recommend the seasonal pineapple because the little charred chunks of fruit at the bottom were delish. read more

Bobby and staff went above and beyond. Since moving to the area in August, the service, the food, and the cocktails were always consistent such that we keep coming back. When asking about specific tequilas, we were offers a taste such that we now have a much better idea as to what tequila we will order. The is Harbor Point's hidden gem! Went to the new Mexicue for happy hour! What a great deal... margs are (strong and) $8 and the nachos are decadently awesome.

Mexicue = Mexican BBQ tapas! No reservations for dinner but they do have call ahead seating (as per the waitress when I asked for a reservation). Happy hour 3-6pm Monday to Friday! Free parking in the parking garage on pacific street is your best bet! I went with a friend on a Wednesday night around 7 and the whole place was filled. The atmosphere was loud and both indoor/outdoor seating is available. We luckily got a seat by the windows overlooking the harbor. We each ordered a margarita (around $12 each). I was bummed that their frozen margarita machine was broken so I settle with one on the rocks. The menu consisted of tacos, sliders, burritos and bowls. Each taco/slider/burrito ranges between $5-$7. The waitress was young and friendly. She recommended two to three items per person. She was able to give us some of her favorite along with other customer favorites. Our drinks were yummy and strong, but they took about 15 minutes to arrive. I ordered the brisket slider and jamburitto. Both were delicious and I was surprisingly full afterwards. My friend had the wild shrimp taco, Nashville chicken taco and the brisket slider. We agreed everything had good flavor! Towards the end of our meal, we noticed that my friends glass was cracked (after he drank his whole drink). We informed the waitress with no intention to get it taken off the bill....we just wanted to make sure they didn't give the glass to another guest. When our check came, they ended up taking off the entire drink which was super unexpected but greatly appreciated. All together, 5 tapas and 1 drink our bill was $45. I would agree with other Yelpers that the food is kind of pricey for what you get...but you have to remember you are also paying for the location. I would avoid this place as a first date spot as you'll end up shouting to each other the entire time. I'm glad we tried it but I'm not about to go running back! Well I'm here right now. Just passing through town so decided to stop by until my train comes. The food I give a solid B plus. I had the fish taco which was battered and fried but still had plenty of fish inside. Def an A-. The tortilla was a little too hard (probably heated it for too long). Then had the chicken flautas, happy hours special of course. I give it a B. Pretty flavorful but I'm used to the chicken being shredded and not cubed. But still pretty good. The bartender Alexia did the damn thing and although I got the house Margarita, it didn't taste cheap and def hit. So def tip your bartender if your here. But now to the bad part. The ambience. The decor and set up of the spot is great. You can even sit outside and watch the sunset. But the drawback is the music is loud. Like super loud. Like you got cheap front row seats at a concert and they placed you right in front of the speakers. And I'm not the only one that thought this, other regular patrons that floated through said the same thing. The music is good just turn it down. Mexicue is my favorite spot in Harbor Point. Everything from the ambiance to the staff are wonderful. Food is super delicious-they have everything from healthy and tasty, protein packed bowls/salads, to tacos, and amazing guac and queso. Music is always great here. The space itself is beautiful-a large bar area with the nicest bartender, Lex. the rooftop is a great vibe for a beautiful day, along with the patio views of the yachts in the Harbor. Beautiful night out on the deck great ambiance with the sun and the boats moored nearby. Food did not disappoint neither did drinks. Had a wonderful lunch and fantastic overall experience here with a group of five seated inside near to the Harbor Point docks. The decor was intriguing with agave stalks lining the ceiling. The menu and food were excellent starting with the Dip Foursome appetizer and continuing with the Jambalaya grilled burrito and finishing with the Churro and ice cream dessert. Best of all though, our server (Wendy G), was absolutely delightful and so incredibly skilled, patient, accommodating, and kind. She could not be ruffled even with some unusual requests and unexpected circumstances. Wendy was what you should expect when dining at such a fine establishment, and then well beyond. I have been coming here rather frequently for the past two years and is one of my favorite Mexican food places in Stamford. Please note that the food does have an Americanized twist to it, so not 100% authentic. The lobster taco and Nashville both are my fav, also the cornbread app is to die for. Also can never go wrong with the guac. I did have a weird experience recently where I made a reservation for 2 this past Friday night but there were really bad storms heading to the area. I received a text from the restaurant asking if I wanted to cancel because the county was in an emergency weather warning. I responded yes to cancel but didn't get a text back so I called and explained. They said no problem and was able to cancel it What was annoying was that I was charged $15. I understand that I agreed when making the reservation that the cancellation policy was 24 hours in advance and if I did not cancel before four hours of the reservation I would be charged $7.50 per person but I figured that since the restaurant was contacting me asking if I wanted to cancel, that that fee would be waived. As someone that puts their spare money towards supporting small businesses in the area, that charge hurt and is definitely going to impact my dining choices in the future (which is upsetting because I love this place and live in walking distance). This place is a whole vibe. My first time here and I really enjoyed the ambiance and watching the sunset. It's calming yet lively here the brisket chili bowl was super good and actually spicy. So those who do not like spice, just keep that in mind. The chili bowl had a nice crunch with the chips in it. I'm going to be honest if I could never go to this place again I would probably be extremely happy with that situation. A co-worker suggested going here because there was a certain ambience. The place is a hyper-inflated cesspool of fake Mexican food overpriced weak drinks and a place where you take your bourgeoisie Bumble date in hopes of getting in her pants. Even the furniture you sit on to eat is literally out of a garbage dump. The food is tasteless and inauthentic. Save your money go to Taco Bell. And the service is atrocious absent-minded people just ignoring you. Top it all off they actually serve me water with a fly in it. The insect probably tasted better than the food. read more

Really great experience. Came down for the rooftop experience but it was unavailable which was a bummer so we ate outside. Food was excellent I had the jam burrito which was delicious and my girlfriend has shrimp tacos which she loved. My girlfriend kept saying the texture and taste of the tacos reminded her of home and an original recipe of her father's. We also had brisket nachos which were to die for.
