This place started off great back in 2018, since then Mexicue has been falling off the higher end scale of this nice Harbor Point area. We made a reservation, and waited 20 minutes to be seated after arriving. Service was horrible, lacking personality and enthusiasm. Not one staff member could answer any of our questions about the menu fully. My drink had the rim spilled all over the glass when it finally arrived after 20 minutes (not worth $15). My sister ordered a small salad bowl with avacado and added shrimp, she only received two small pieces of shrimp on her salad for an added $8 which was more than the bowl itself. I ordered the lobster and pan seared fish for myself, the lobster was chewy/ burnt and the fish taco tasted old. Both tortillas were covered in grease. When I informed our waitress about the items I didn't like she gave me a look, shrugged her shoulders and asked if we wanted anything else, we said no. Our bill was brought to us. Almost $100 for a salad, a few tacos, guacamole and two margaritas. 100% not worth dinning here. Bar Taco is a way better option! read more

Excellent service and scrumptious plates! The wild cod taco and the jamburrito were quite tasty. I appreciated the bourbon selection as well, with staples such as Elijah Craig and 1792 present, not to mention Blantons. The servers and bartenders were knowledgeable (especially with the bourbon), friendly, and prompt. The comfy ambiance is accompanied by views of the Sound. Horrible service. The waitress we had told us we could move to another table to be out of the sun (this was during the summer) and then the hostess came to tell us we couldn't sit there because she wanted to sit another party there. I told her that our waitress told us it was ok to sit there and her response was "no she didn't." The service is very slow and they seem to forget about you while they're chatting away with each other. Our server forgot to give us our appetizers so I can't comment on any of the food except for the salad I had as my entree which was pretty good. Won't be returning here. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Although the location is awesome right on the sound. Beautifully decorated but that's where it ends. Service is painfully slow, food is so so. Not great but not necessarily bad. My biggest reason for the low rating would be the price and service. You don't get what you pay for. The price is to high for what you get. Not somewhere I would go back to... Drinks were very sugary, weak, and small. The place gets incredibly loud, we almost had to leave because of the noise level- and this was on a Wednesday evening. The service was pretty bad too, took a very long time to get anything to our table and the manager had to come over and apologize. The menu is a little weird, there are no entree type dishes so it's definitely a more casual vibe from that.The food was nothing special at all... we got some guac, tacos, and 2 of the bowls. Really cute, fun atmosphere. It is definitely loud in the restaurant so it was hard to hear the rest of your table. Our server was wonderful. It was my first time visiting back in June. The views from their outside seating are really nice; it is a nice place for happy hour. They were very accommodating and mindful of current precautions hence the pandemic. Food was very good and cooked well. One star off because it was confusing to whether we would need to place our orders through the phone or with a server (it's with a server) but the table "ad" for lack of better word make it seem like we needed to with our phones. Another thing was that then we needed to pay with our phones using their bar code. That part was a little confusing (needing a server for orders but phone to pay, figuring that out) but overall the experience was great! read more

Was the first nice day of the year so things were obviously crazy. There was an hour wait which was expected and were notified via text our table was ready (which is great as we went to Sign Of The Whale for drinks). After being seated, we ordered chips, guacamole and drinks. Took a little long, but place was packed. Ordered food, received it timely and we were completely satisfied! Whether it was taco, slider, or burrito, everything was great. First star goes to our waitress Melissa! She was on point all night. Checked on us frequently and made sure we were attended to all night. Friendly comments were welcome as she was having to deal with a completely backed up kitchen and bar. I loved this place! Came here for lunch during the week. We ordered guacamole for the table and we all ordered tacos (2 tacos each). Everything was amazing, fresh and bursting with flavor. We all left less than $25 light including tip which I thought was reasonable for a sit down meal. As for the atmosphere that everyone's commenting about, It's casual! I also thought the service was fantastic, our server was accommodating and available. Ordered a margarita on the rocks, it was pretty good, not sure if they make their own mix like Bartaco does, it wasn't as good as their margaritas. For food, ordered the fried avocado taco, amazing and highly recommend, the pulled pork slider, and the bbq brisket burrito. I have been so excited for Mexicue to open! I've been 3 times since opening day, and I love the food and margs. I have to say the service can be slow, and it's clear that they're still working on their management and organization. The nachos are fantastic. I can't wait to try more on the menu. The margaritas are not huge but they put the right amount of tequila - I can taste it but it blends with the flavor. I love the spicy Paloma marg, but I typically stick to the house marg. read more

Absolutely 100% not worth the money. There were four of us. For app we ordered the salsa (which is puréed w and has a hint of black beans). I had the tuna, lobster and pork belly tacos. The lobster and pork belly were ok. The tuna was not fresh or not refrigerated because when I got home, I vomited. It took far too long for my drinks to come out. The modelo tasted like it was skunked. Their salsa in my opinion was decent at best. My margarita tasted like shit, it had a cinnamon rim. All around awful food aside from the corn bread. Burritos and bowls were ordered as well, the response from those eating it was "meh". I do not recommend. read more

Long story short- if you are very patient (15 min before you even get a drink) then you won't be disappointed because the food is good As mentioned we waited 15 minutes before someone took our drink and Appie order. This place was great! My husband and I ordered the guacamole, Jamburitto and a couple other tacos. I would recommend if you're a hearty eater to get 2 bullets, or 3-4 tacos if you want to leave full. If you aren't a pig then two-3 tacos is a regular amount, but if you do the bullet order at least one other thing. We came here on a Wednesday night at 9:00pm with a couple of friends to have late dinner and when we walked in this lady approached me and said that they were closed, I told her that on google maps it showed that they were open and she said -"oh no im sorry, we close at 9"- i we walked out and I made a research on their website to see if I was being too annoying and it said ON THEIR WEBSITE that they close at 10:00pm!!!!! I work in restaurants and for me customers are treated well and given the same experience no matter if we are closing in 20 minutes. This is very bad for business, no one wants to go to a place where customers are treated like that and not important at all and definitely I would not recommend going there to all my clients and make sure to spread the word of how awful that situation was! read more
