Dr. Tom Meyer has been my dentist for many many years and his father before that. This is the dental practice where you can go in, get your teeth cleaned or a cavity filled and actually fall asleep in the dental chair. I know because I've done it. They are that gentle. Dr. Tom seems to have the latest dental technology that can really help catch cavities early. He has a new x-ray machine that makes x-rays a lot more comfortable than those old bite wings. Another technology he has used that really benefited me was the ability to avoid using a crown in certain situations. A few years ago, I had a cavity in a tooth right next to where I previously had a silver filling from long ago. He really needed to drill a lot to get the filling out and to repair that new cavity. This is the type of thing that normally he would need to use a crown. However Dr. Tom explained to me that he had a machine where he could essentially make a 3d puzzle piece for the hole and put it in if I had a little extra time. We could do it in one visit instead of two and it was actually less expensive than a traditional crown. I agreed and have had no issues with his solution. I went in yesterday for a cavity repair and received exactly the same treatment as in the past. I didn't even feel the needle with the numbing medicine. They use a topical to make you comfortable. The staff also make sure to tell you what to expect before they do it. Everyone is friendly and genuinely interested in you and your dental health. I have been coming to Meyer Dental for a few years now and I have had a great experience. My dad was my dentist my whole life until he retired, so suffice it to say, it was very difficult finding the right dentist to transition to. I love that this is a family practice just like my parents' practice was (my mom was my dad's receptionist), and I appreciate how kind every person I've met on the team is. I generally only come in for cleanings/a minor filling here and there, but two nights ago, my front tooth crown fell right out of my mouth into my hand. My dad put it in 19 years ago and I guess the bonding finally wore off....It was 7pm and I had just arrived at my destination to see friends; so it definitely flashed me back to when the incident first happened (laser tag accident). Even though the office was closed, Dr. Tom answered me on his emergency line right away, and was able to squeeze me in the next day at 11am to recement my crown back in. It was super kind of him to respond to me and to get me into his office so quickly...and it saved me so much stress! (My dad is retired but still texting and offering advice on the sidelines). I am so grateful to Dr. Tom and his whole team for the care that they provide! It's difficult to trust health matters in someone else's hands when you were able to trust a family member for so long, but he has earned my trust. Just fired this dental group. I was a patient for 6 years but recently when I was out of town I lost a crown and wanted to have it replaced when I got home. I sent a text message - which in the past was responded to in a timely manner - and got no response. So several hours later I called their office, found out it was closed until 8 am the next morning, and left a voice message. At 9:15 the next morning I called the office - because I felt it had been open long enough for someone to return my call - only to get another recorded message. The message I got said they were "too busy to answer their phone". I left a 3rd message and finally someone returned my call. I explained my situation a 3rd time - and mentioned again that I wanted to have my crown cemented on (a simple procedure that only takes a few minutes - I've had it done before ) before I headed to my office (30 minutes away) and the 1st of two jobs I had to work that day. I was told they had a late afternoon appointment which wouldn't work for me and the next available time that would work for me was days away. I opted to find another dentist. My issue wasn't an emergency, but being an established patient for several years I don't feel that my request was unreasonable. Especially since they have added a 2nd dentist to their practice. Once I said I was taking my business elsewhere, they did offer to let me come in earlier at a time that would work for me, but I declined. Honestly, I expected better and I expected a timely response. And I have found that from another dental practice. Plus as a bonus, I am no longer paying what I always felt were inflated prices @ Meyer Dental. read more

I met Alysa for the 1st time and she did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. she is gentle and thorough. I enjoyed chatting with Alysa also. I then got my teeth whitened by Michelle. Michelle took care of my 4 kids orthodontia way back when si I have known Michelle for a long time. I loved the room I was in. The lights were low, I got to listen to music through headphones and felt very relaxed. Michelle explained every to me that was going to happen and what to expect when I get home. Prior to that, Dr. Tom Meyer repaired a faulty issue with an implant that (keeping fingers crossed) worked out miraculously contrary to what I was expecting. Meyer Dental Group is the best for sure. The doctor makes crowns in house and can handle every dental issue. Safety is top priority. Dr Tom has the latest equipment including a vacuum to catch splashes while your teeth are being cleaned. When you're waiting for your crown, you get the spa treatment with a massage chair, a TV and a bottle of water! When you leave, there are fresh baked cookies you can take with you! I have been going to Meyer Dental for about 15 years now. Great staff and the most pain free dentist I have ever been to. The staff is great, they are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They moved into a new state of the art office in 2018/2019 and it is awesome. They are taking extra precautions due to Covid-19 but they are open.
