10/10 food and service and drinks was perfect I drove all the way from high point Nc to try this place and it's nice inside as well I went on 8/7/26

This was my first time trying this Mexican restaurant and it was a great choice. The service, ambiance, food and cleanliness are top notch. It's just down the street from me in a newly developed area of North Hills on St. Albans. The fajitas were tasty and hot. My partner had the Chimichangas and she loved them as well. Portions are big and the fried ice cream was a great way to end the meal. Will return soon!

Had a wonderful dinner with a friend at Mezcalito! We came on a thursday night without a resection and was seated immediately. The inside was absolutely gorgeous and loved the vibe of the whole restaurant. started with complimentary chips & salsa and we ordered a side of queso to start. They had a huge drink menu with so many selections. I ordered the quesa birria which i enjoyed and the consome was flavorful and had lots of pieces of pork in it. Our favorite part of the dinner was the tres leches cake! It was massive and was perfectly sweet. Their desserts were $8.99 and they had so many great options that it was hard to choose which dessert we wanted! also, our waiter was attentive and checked in often. I'll definitely be back!

This was my first time visiting Mezcalito. The decor is beautiful, and the food and drinks were exceptional, but unfortunately the overall service experience was very disappointing. The restaurant is very large, and it seemed like they were struggling to manage it efficiently. We waited about 45 minutes for a table, and once seated, it took another 15 minutes just to order water. Our waitress rarely checked on us, and the service throughout the night was extremely poor. After finally placing our order, we waited nearly another hour for our food. We also ordered queso, which we had to remind the server about after waiting an additional 15 minutes. I ordered a margarita and was never asked what size I wanted, so I naturally assumed I would receive the standard/small size. Instead, I was given the giant 40 oz version, which cost around $30. It felt very misleading to automatically serve the largest size without confirming with the customer first. I asked to speak with the manager because, while we understood the restaurant was busy, we watched several tables who arrived after us receive their food well before we did. Unfortunately, the manager was unprofessional and unapologetic, offering excuses rather than addressing the concerns. Good customer service and communication go a long way, especially when guests are already frustrated. It's disappointing because the food and drinks were genuinely delicious, and the atmosphere is beautiful. I just wish the service experience had matched the quality of the restaurant, since service is a major reason people choose to dine out.

I went with friends on a Saturday night and it was BUSY! The wait time for a table was about 10 minutes, which was great. Definitely loud inside but we loved it. The food tasted so good. I got a shrimp ACP and the portion size was enough for me to take some home. The drinks were amazing. I got a nonalcoholic strawberry lemonade that was perfect. My friends got good-sized alcoholic drinks and loved them! Will definitely be returning when I'm in the area.

Being from Texas, I am always on the look out for great Tex Mex. Mezcalito hit the mark!! They have been open now for a couple of months but I just learned of it this week. They are located off of Social in the new up-and-coming area of Midtown. The lunch fajitas were outstanding. I can't wait to come back for dinner for one of the incredible looking cocktails. Great atmosphere, great staff!! See you again soon!!

the service was so bad the server barely checked on us and we had to hunt down another server just to get service from him after our food came out. I ordered the lime ceviche which tasted nothing of lime so i decided to just get extra limes. Can't do that if the server takes 30 mins to even ask if the food is okay and probably would've never asked unless we got another server. I decided to just have it taken off my bill. The server nor the manager acknowledges us or apologizes. They also never offered to get me anything else so I ended up leaving tipsy and hungry. This is also too loud of a restaurant for the amount of people that are in there. There definitely needs to be a team huddle on how to provide good customer service. This place is good for mediocre drinks and thats it. I got a way better experience at Bad Daddy's Burger Bar for Half the price and way better drinks.

Beautifully decorated restaurant but the food has been hit or miss the three times that we've been here. The drinks are always good though.

If my mom (who was neither Mexican nor good at cooking) attempted to make a Tex-Mex style dinner,…read morethis feels like what she would've come up with, using her trusty arsenal of store-brand white american cheese; off-brand Wonder bread; and the cheapest greying meat, from the cheapest grocery store, roused from its long slumber in a cling-wrapped styrofoam bed in the freezer. The tortillas did indeed taste like white bread, somehow. The cheese was an unidentifiable white cheese-like substance. The meat was completely flavorless and seemingly unseasoned, though, it did, at least, taste and look like it likely came from a recognizable member of the cattle family (rather than some other, less ideal, quadrupedal sources of red meat). The chips had the traditional shape and color of chips in a typical Tex-Mex restaurant. Despite the reassuring outward appearance, however, they were also oddly lacking in flavor, other than a strange movie popcorn-like aftertaste. The salsa unexpectedly seemed to have been fashioned from actual tomatoes, rather than the usual jarred mush found at most casual Tex-Mex restaurants. While normally this would be a good thing, here it meant that the salsa was being prepared in-house (or shipped in from the Chuy's warehouse of condiments). Though the salsa was acceptably mediocre, it benefitted from tasting a little better than other things on the table, which also helped me partially forgive its remarkable resemblance to gastric effluvium.

The parallel spots along midtown park are short term only, and I overheard staff mentioning parking enforcement does ticket if you go over. We ended up parking in the Harris Teeter garage and walking over, which was much easier. When you walk in you'll check in with the host and be seated. There are options to sit inside or outside. Given the weather and noise from kids playing in the park, we opted to sit inside at the bar. Service was inconsistent. When we sat down it took about 20 minutes for our server to greet us, and she only checked in a couple times during our meal. It seemed like the experience could vary quite a bit depending on who your server was. I ordered the queso compesto (Queso loaded up with seasoned ground beef, guacamole & pico de gallo and served with chips) which was cold but had good flavor. Next, I ordered the steak burrito with boom boom sauce and the green chili rice. The burrito was warm but the steak was extremely well done and had to cover the burrito in sauce to enjoy it. Overall, the experience missed the mark from a service and food quality stand point and I'm not sure if I'll be back. I may give the location in Cary a try before writing off Chuy's fully.

We were looking for a good Tex-Mex place for a family dinner. Superica delivered!…read more The food is absolutely delicious. The menu accurately describes the dishes, and we all were pleased with what we ordered. The fajitas portion was massive! And there was a huge amount of steak in the steak tacos. The server was very nice and understood the menu well, which was important because a member of our party had dietary restrictions (gluten). My only slight dislike was that the music is crazy loud. We sat in a booth and conversation was difficult to hear.

CAUTION: Disgusting Tacos Ahead!…read more My wife and I had lunch on Friday, June 1. Let me start with the one thing that was good, then elaborate on everything else, which was not ... especially the "scab" tacos. Really?! Scab tacos??!! [They chose the name, not me. Bet they would like a do-over. Just sayin'.] THE GOOD - The smokey, deep brown salsa served slightly warm was quite tasty. EVERYTHING ELSE: 1. I had the Shrimp Diablo Tacos and they were a disaster! Not only was the shrimp fishy, but the "costra style" shells were an absolute abomination: VERY greasy, amazingly unattractive (see photo), and likely packed 800 calories each due to the grease and cheese. Since there was only 1 bar of web connection, I was unable to Google "costra style" before ordering. Had I been able to do so, the description of being "scab like" (yep! You read that correctly!! Scab!!!) would have made the dish a No Go. That said, I will say the term is accurate: they were DEFINITELY scab-like in appearance, and the degree of grease oozing off of them put me not only in mind of a scab, but one attached to an infected wound. Barf!! 2. My wife's #1 from the lunch menu was about as basic as a taco and enchilada can be. She even told me it was a stretch to call it Mexican food. 3. And one final point: the place is L-O-U-D inside. Not quite - but almost - to the degree of being unable to talk while eating. Adios!

When you arrive there is parallel parking outside the front of the restaurant and if that's full there is overflow parking in the back. When you walk in you'll be transported to a fast, casual taco shop near downtown Raleigh. To order you can either sit at the bar, order on the kiosks, or at the counter. I ordered the trailer park combo which comes with a trailer park taco (Fried chicken, green chiles, pico de gallo, mixed cheese with poblano sauce on a flour tortilla), queso and a drink. I'd recommend taking the lettuce off as I feel like it overpowers the taco. I also ordered the Ranch Hand breakfast taco (Cage free eggs, marinated and grilled steak, mixed cheese on a flour tortilla with a side of Diablo sauce). The Diablo sauce is a bit too hot for me so I subbed that for the salsa roja on the side. Both tacos were excellent and remind me of my first time eating Torchy's at their og location in Austin. Torchy's also has one of my favorite quesos as the green chiles really add a nice flavor. Highly recommend this spot if you are looking for good fast food Tex mex spot.
