"Chicharrones" wtf is this?

Wanted to try their chicharrones because the picture looked good, 100% not what I recieved. Chicharron had removed skin and looks and tastes half baked.

We were on the way to Kitsap Great Escape.

Tripped across their info while surfing online, so decided to visit & check them out. First impression upon entry, what a pleasant clean place staffed by the sincerely friendly people. 3 distinct areas, with the first being a combination grocery store deli restaurant with a professional kitchen in the back. fair sized menu reader board style. refrigerated meat case plus another cooler for a variety of salsas & Pico. Several racks of dry goods with a variety of dried peppers being the most notable. #2, to the left was a spacious sit-down eating area, very clean & welcoming, laced with Mexican style clothing. #3, off to the right was a room full of candy that looked right for stuffing the piñatas that were generously hanging from the ceilings. Cinco DeMayo decorations too. Too bad that we just had lunch, guess we'll have to go back for lunch on our next trip to Silverdale. Then I can do a review on the fresh cooked food, no doubt it will be great !!!

I was craving authentic Tamales one evening but had no idea where to get any! The only tamales I've ever had were from Trader Joe's! I like those, but not sure how they compare to Tia or Abuela made Tamales. After a quick yelp search, I decided to try out Made in Mexico market. Yelp didn't disappoint! I ordered the Tamale Trio which came with 3 different types (poblano & cheese; chicken; an; pork) rice and beans. My mister ordered the Carnitas plate. They have a little Salsa bar which also included pickled red onions, onions and cilantro. I love love loved the tamales! Great flavor, and it was not dry at all! My favorite was the poblano and cheese. Next time I am craving tamales, I am coming back here and getting a trio of just the poblano and cheese tamales. Very satisfied patron :) The staff is very friendly, and they have tres leches cake slices! Yum

Quesabirria combo.

Nice little mexican store with a restaurant. It was close to the hotel i was staying at. Quesabirria tacos looked good. I have had better but they were actually really good. The tortillas were crispy. The consome was tasty with bits of birria. The frijoles y arroz were pretty good too. I'd come back.

Adobada Tacos Just fantastic! Wonderful quality ingredients, really good seasoning, fresh and huge variety of condiments.

Love this place. Great fresh food. Really nice staff. Guacamole is delicious. Favorite taco is the adobada. Condiment bar has great selection.

Mangonada

Super tasty and authentic Mexican food served with cheer and humor. I've been Loki g for good Mexican food and my brilliant wife suggested we go here ... it's great my favorite is the Adobada but the Conchinita is pretty awesome too. Oh and don't miss the killer guacamole

Street tacos

Street tacos and other food items ordered from 'Made In Mexico' are absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

Fresas con crema

This was WAY over priced. $10 for HALF a cup of strawberries.. that's the size of my hand... I tried giving it a second chance here but this is not worth it AT ALL. Everything is completely overpriced.

Service was good, no issues there as they were able to accommodate large party (8-10 ppl). The kids booster chairs were sticky and needed to be cleaned. We had to use a baby wipe to clean before using. Some of the items we got were the Macha Burrito which was bland and lacked seasoning of the chicken. The Steak & Fries (Carne Asada Fries for us SoCal) was a 2, not as promising as other reviews. We ordered this as an appetizer and majority of family passed once they saw it and the rest once they tried it. Ordered the quesadilla and fries for the kids, and it was the smallest size tortilla used... not an adult order let alone an order to share with kids. Other items ordered were the Cali Burrito which I was told was good, but "needed something" and the fajitas with chicken. Chicken was pounded flat and very dry. We were hoping for more as this was a place that had higher expectations due to reviews and we really wanted some good Mexican food. But it missed the mark and sad as we continue to find a Mexican shop that lives up to SoCal or at least close.

The beans and salsa were very good and the chips just normal, first basket had many small and broken pieces. My wife had the steak fajitas. They were sizzling hot and the meat was tender and plentiful. I would have liked more onions and peppers if it were me but she was fine. Flour tortillas were good although we were told they make their own corn tortillas which for those who like them were probably good. I had the single combo (chicken enchilada) with rice and beans on side. We chose refried beans but other options were available. The enchilad was tasty, had good amount of filling and cheese. Sour cream and guacamole were extra and portion size a bit small but I know costs are up. We would definitely go back in the future.

The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is the kind of Mexican-American food I grew up with. It's clean, the food is tasty, and the prices are great. They have Mexican Coke in bottles and a wide variety of drinks. Give it a try. My suggestion: The fajitas or one of the taco selections. But it's all good.

I like the fact that there were a number of people placing their orders. That just says to me that the food is turned over well for freshness. I could not figure out what I wanted so I enlisted some help from the older woman who was serving the food. Her first response was get the burria tacos, quit. I generally don't like burria taco, so I had her run me through many different items on the menu. I ultimately ended up getting burria tacos, and I was not disappointed. In fact, I am really glad I got them because they are now my favorite tacos, at least made at that food truck. Were absolutely huge and packed with meat. The shells were done expertly with a perfect crispness from the melted cheese on the outside! The dip was a hit. Even though they gave more than enough, it was so dang good i felt like I couldn't get enough. I also got the taquitos. They were large, full of meat, and crunchy and crispy. But there was just something about those burria tacos that will definitely keep me going back. Admittedly the price is a bit steep. So I am I won't go back often, but I will do my best to patronize them as much as I can.
