Basically CAVA with different options. You pick what you want in your bowl and it's pretty affordable. There are a variety of meat options - a chicken shawarma, another chicken option, as well as about four more. Lots of different choices for starches and veggies too. It was super quiet when I came here too (noon on a gameday, so I was kinda surprised).

A bit confusing at first but if you carry the menu card with you it's helpful. Cute interior. You pick a bowl then your protein etc. Sooooo many options! It was delicious.

Interior - this was on a Sunday night around 8PM. Near empty. Inviting interior and ambience, loads of seating, clean.

A long weekend visit to VT and wanting to find something relatively quick, easy, not break the bank, on the healthier side and easy in/out including parking. It was a Sunday night around 8PM - didn't know whether we would encounter a crowd and a long line. Pleasantly surprised that the place was virtually empty! Score! Think Chipotle and Cava. Same dining concept. More towards Cava / Mediterranean add-ins. Lots more choices than Cava (see my pics). Drink situation: forewarning - they have no Coke / Pepsi soda fountain products. Never seen that before. Instead they have some pretty cool non-carbonated juices with cool flavor combos. REALLY LIKED THEM! (Especially the Berry Watermelon!) I took a pic of the "flavors" they have. You walk in and the place is soooo inviting, open and SPOTLESS CLEAN. Loads of inviting seating to camp out in. Great hang out place. Very centrally located off of Prices Fork Rd. In the shopping center where Panda Express, CVS, Chipotle is. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot. Bottom line, I gave this place 4 stars because of location, cleanliness, no crowds, great service (pleasant and friendly workers), cafeteria style service = cost effective, open late (10PM). Our meals were...fine, no issues. None of us were crazy gaga over our bowls but then again I've never "gushed" about a meal at Cava or Chipotle either. It met our needs and, frankly, there are limited other options around campus that are open later in the evening. Mezeh is just fine for what it is and what it offers.

Having a fast-casual Mediterranean chain in Blacksburg has been nice! I tried this spot a few weeks ago, having never stepped foot in a Mezeh. I will admit that I am a big Cava fan and this did not compare to the food and service quality there. The line in which you wait for food doesn't really have any signage of how to order/the process. The options available are extensive, which is awesome since my friend tried the lamb and I had falafel. The restaurant itself was crowded when we went, however, the restaurant didn't seem to be able to handle it.

Healthy good food, super fast service. Clean restaurant and outside seating was great in this weather.

Location has nice decor with indoor and outdoor seating areas. However, the indoor seats become overly crowded very quickly just because of the layout. It would be hard to maneuver around people during a rush. They had a line but the service is extremely quick. So quick you probably want to have an idea of what you want before you get to the person making your dish. They have paper menus available by the door to look over while in line. They have options for rice bowls, salads, pitas, etc. They have a very large variety of toppings. Everything we tried has very well made and flavorful and was a great opportunity to try new things. They have more healthy or vegetarian options than you would get in most other fast food places. They don't server "normal" soft drinks. They have fruit punch style drinks and unusual sodas. I really enjoyed the flavors. I really hates that there wasn't ice available. Personal preference, can't stand room temperature drinks. Portions were good for the price which is just slightly higher than what you would normally categorize as fast food.

If you've been to Cava, then know that this place serves pretty much the same food (same, if you don't know the nuances of various Middle Eastern foods). I'm definitely happy to have a place like this here in Blacksburg with light, but great tasting food at an affordable price. I got a bowl, and I was surprised to find you can pick as many toppings you want! (I'm not sure about meats specifically, but I think there's no limit for everything else). They also have cute and fresh fruit juices to accompany your meal. Overall, I'd highly recommend Mezeh; I know I'll be back :)

Pretty good spot for lunch! Lots of options so it's super customizable for anyone (& and diet!) I only gave 4 stars because they don't have "normal" drinks (I.e. coke or Pepsi). They only have natural drinks which I personally do not prefer. It's also a little pricy for us college aged kids! Definitely worth trying - it's a lot of choices and can be overwhelming but go with your gut! (Also it's a little spicy so make sure you get something to help cool down your dish - dressing/dips)!

I have lived in Blacksburg my whole life and ODB has been a go-to bakery for most locals for a while. Serving a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and offering lunch, brunch, and dinners. They have a lovely variety of options for customers to enjoy. The bakery primarily serves French pastries and caters to French cuisine at their meals. Although they offer more than just French inspired food. In the past, my family and I have enjoyed grabbing their cakes for celebrations and individual pastries from their pastries case. But recently, they have not been up to par and have left us very unsatisfied. The cakes have been dry and do not taste fresh at all. On my latest visit I tried a couple of things, all of which were cold, with dry, crumbly textures. It was evident to me that these pastries were not made day-of and had clearly sat in a fridge for at least one night (if not more). I found this to be extremely disappointing as ODB used to have a reputation of serving FRESH baked goods and pastries. I cannot attest for the hot food they serve during meal times, but the pastries and cakes have gone down hill. Over the winter break, I had their NY cheesecake bar (which I've gotten in the past and it was phenomenal) and it fell so short of what I remembered. It was lacking flavor and the crust at the bottom was dry. This past visit, I tried a Napoleon (also have had this before and really enjoyed it), a specialty cake, a scone, and a couple macarons and macaroons. The Napoleon was so cold and the puff pastry was super stale, it practically fell apart the second I tried to eat it. The specialty individual cake slice was also very cold and the cake wasn't moist at all. Again, indicating it was not fresh or made day-of. The scone was also a disappointment as it was dry and lacked any moisture. I thought the macrons and macaroons were fine though. While most of this was disappointing, the price didn't help either. Nothing was inexpensive and the quality was completely missing. So disappointing to leave this review as I used to enjoy coming here for sweet treats. It's sad to see that ODB is unfortunately not what it used to be. I will note that the service is very friendly and they do their best dealing with customers. Could have been more efficient, but I did go during a busier time. I hope they can turn things around, but until then I do not think I will be retuning soon.

An orange juice was the right compliment for a high protein and fiber bowl which definitely started the day off right. Plenty of pancakes and toasts were available for those seeking more conventional brunch. They have gyros, meatball subs, pizza, burgers, crab cakes, kabobs, chicken parmesan and lots more. I get a little squinky when I see a multiple-page menu with lots of random foods on it. But I visited with a group, and so I was locked into this place, whether I liked it or not. A quick internet and Yelp search told me that the things to get at The Cellar are the Greek gyro and the pizzas. I didn't want a whole pie just for myself, so I ordered the gyro. The Greek gyro was really good! It is lamb and beef in a pita, topped with tzatziki, lettuce, onion and tomato. All of the veggies were super fresh, and the pita was warm and pillowy. It's served with chips and a pickle. They actually have quite a few Greek or Mediterranean-adjacent items on the menu. One of the people in my group ordered the Black & Blue Salad, which is basically a salad with steak and bleu cheese on it, plus lots of vegetables. It was huge! She ate a lot of it, and it looked like she barely made a dent. When she put the leftovers in the to-go container, she almost needed two containers! It became a running joke that day and for a couple of days afterward about whether or not she actually finished that salad. This is also the location for the 6Pak Bottle Shop, which is basically a liquor store but intensely curated. They have a nice selection of craft beers and wine. There is also a bar downstairs, which I didn't have the pleasure of visiting. Another great thing about The Cellar is that they are open late! Sometimes until midnight, and sometimes until 2 a.m. I guess that makes sense, as they are located basically right across the street from Virginia Tech.
