I went here recently for a late brunch on a Saturday morning. It was fairly empty to my surprise. I ordered a southwest omelette but it was super bland. Please season your eggs! The inside filling of the omelette didn't have much flavor either. I was pretty disappointed honestly. My husband didn't mind his bagel sandwich. I got a croissant with my omelette and that was fine too. The place is nice and spacious which is great for those hoping to sit down and eat.

Breakfast was delicious! Beautiful bakery cabinets. Great service. Coffee was okay. The managed a game day crowd with ease, and the fall touches were noticed and appreciated. We had a Spooky Salmon omelette and Halloweeny breakfast. So fun! The house brew coffee was tasty, but the Carmel latte was average. The pastries were delicious, especially the cranberry cream cheese croissant! Try that! The apple pie macaroon and turtle brownie were also amazing! Overall, we were pleased! We will definitely be back!

It's solid - the food was good, but service was only okay. It wasn't super busy around lunch time on a Saturday (of a holiday weekend) so I was surprised with the minor mishaps. However, I'm sure it's probably just new students learning! Ambiance was super casual. Great brunch or lunch spot!! Prices were affordable. Portions were big. They have great beverages and desserts/pastries as well. Overall, I'd come back. It's not my favorite but it's a good choice.

Our Daily Bread is one of my favorite spots in Blacksburg. Every time I am in town I spend way too much money on bakery items to bring back to friends and family. The Stöllen available around Thanksgiving and Christmas time is so incredibly delicious and I look forward to getting some every year. They have a great collection of pastries that are all done well. Brunch is always so nice. They offer a special brunch menu every weekend in addition to all the typical breakfast items you could want. I usually get whatever comes with a homemade croissant and jam! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Ordering is done at the cash register. You receive a number and they bring your food and drinks to you. There is a separate line specifically for the bakery. It's a small dining area that stays full during brunch hours, but I've never had any trouble getting a seat. Sometimes local musicians play music inside or on the patio.

Been coming here for breakfast or brunch for years -- every time we are in town. Went today and remain super impressed!!! We tend to get the specials -- as they are always delightful! Today that included a smoked turkey pot pie, omelette and jalapeño feta bagel with eggs and bacon. All fabulous!!! There is always a line on the weekends, but it moves quickly.

Generally, I always love my experience here. Ambiance: (5/5) there is indoor and outdoor seating which is great because around brunch time it does get crowded. Price: (4/5) Great prices (average for the area) for filling meals. Food: (4/5) I really liked my sweet crepe. It might have been a little too sweet for me with the powdered sugar, but that is a personal preference. Service: (4/5) Food comes out fast, but that's all they do. You have to out your plates away and get your own water.

Great food and service here! I got the quiche but I would recommend any drink or chef special.

Lovely outdor seating area on the porch but we opted for indoor seating in one of the 3 or 4 intimate rooms. Service was great, our waiter very griendly, attenticw and helpful with suggestions, recommendations and specials. After ordering we were each served a couole of pieces of fresh bread with a black and white sea salt. Bread and butter were very good. We had the roasted red pepper and walnut dip served with local crackers and artisan bread. It too was excellent, so tasty. We had a fush of the day, a mild white fish served with new potatoes and green bwans. The fish was tender and light. I opted fir the french onion soup that was such a large crock og soup i had to take over half of it to go. It was steaming hot, toasted cheese on top was wonderful, onions the right crispness and flavorful. I did alsi have the glazed asparagus and fondant potatoes. Asparagus was crisp and lightly seasoned but the fondant potatoes wete nothing special. We had a chocolate mouse fir dessert. I am not a big fan so not my favorite. Expect to pay a bit for the atmosphere and special touches but it was worth it for the good food, great service and memories.

It doesn't matter that customers have made reservations months in advance. It doesn't matter that when the owner calls to confirm your reservations and you request indoor seating. What matters is they want you to eat there despite what you've requested. Our group sat outside on the semi covered outdoor porch. Nearby other customers were VERY unhappy that they had been given outdoor seating despite previous requests to sit indoors. Most of these customers left. We stayed because we wanted a decent meal and we wanted to celebrate. Service was spotty. It took nearly 10 minutes for a server to come outside and offer to take our drink orders or even pour us water. Yes, we were parched while sitting outdoors in 55 degree windy weather. The owner of the restaurant walked past us several times to count the vacant outdoor seats. She never acknowledged us and only looked at us after we called out to her. She was RUDE to say the least. Our server was friendly and apologetic, not sure why he didn't come out to acknowledge our group of 7 diners. The food: yes, other yelpers had concluded that the bread seemed very similar to Mrs. Schubert roll. If you know them you know. The other shocking revelation was when they called to confirm our reservation, they informed us that they were only serving the prix fixed meal of $69. Most of us ordered the "hand cut 8 oz filet", served with over cooked green beans. The salads(most of us got Caesar), was not a hand tossed dressing, not quite sure what the dressing was made of and the cheese seemed like a bagged shredded parm. We were so cold that we ordered our desserts(included) to go. Eating in the warmth of our cozy hotel dining lobby was our goal. The desserts were not anything special. The key lime pie was a disaster(crumbled and squishy), the rest of them not worth noting. Finally worth noting is their "wine", a semi inexpensive bottle of wine was out of stock so instead of coming to let us know, they brought out a cheaper local Virginia wine. Disappointing. Stay away if you are in doubt.

They are trout that are local and prized for living in a lime stone aquifer rather than a river. Giving them a clean light slightly sweet taste, no essence of mud that can come with other river fish. Calamari was hot fresh and very tender, with a good dipping sauce. Salads were crisp and tangy, with the addition of delicious bread. Overall, outstanding service and food, especially when considering the limited options for finer dining in Blacksburg. Only drawback IMO is the quality of the food and service is miles above the ambiance and decor. This year I happened to go to Table 50, located on Market Street in the heart of Downtown Roanoke. Table 50 is one of those fine-dining restaurants in all the sense of the word. It is known for its upscale, progressive American cuisine that uses locally sourced ingredients from the nearby farmers' market. It offers an elegant atmosphere with features like copper tables and brick walls. Exquisite food like filet mignon. And exceptional customer service. After making my reservation through the OpenTable app, I showed up the following day right on time. A young lady hostess greeted me at the Host's station and after confirming my reservation took me to my table at a corner of the restaurant. My eloquent server Trent came by soon after to give me a warm welcome and take my drink order. I asked him to see if the bartender could make me a Pina Colada Mocktail. When he brought me the Mocktail, he took my food order. As a starter, I ordered the Seared Jumbo Sea Scallops served with a Parmigiano-Reggiano & Brandy Cream Sauce. Followed by a Mixed Green House Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing. And as my main course the Bienville Filet, a Certified Angus Beef 8oz Filet Mignon served with Fried Shrimps, Asparagus, Mashed Potatoes, and a New Orleans style parmesan cream sauce. My server then went to place the order and came back with a rectangular shape plate filled with a sliced baguette and little bowl of whipped butter. I always say that the quality of a restaurant's bread and water is an indication of the quality of its cuisine. My server did an exceptional job at bringing out all my items at the proper pace. And all was amazingly delicious. For the Grand Finale dessert, I asked for the Chocolate Mousse Torte. This is one of my favorites desserts out of all the restaurants around. My server brought it out on.a white plate with the words Happy Birthday written with a chocolate dip. It was delicious, even though this year they didn't include a candle on top. As if this wasn't enough, after paying and going to the restroom to wash my hands, as I was headed towards the door, my server runs by me and opens the door, thanking me for my visit on this special occasion and wishing that I come back soon. What a way to end an outstanding dining experience!
