Love Mezeh!!! The food is great. I like them because they have the create your own bowl like many places just with Mediterranean options! But what sets Mezeh apart from other places is that they offer signature bowls with set combinations so you dont have to guess think or make any life changing food decisions lol. They also offer wraps chips pita and little desserts... The fresh juices and soda are great. Love the variety and the unique flavors. The only thing that made me leary at this location was that the romaine looked wilted a lil discolored and old. They should have taken it off the salad bar because I then side-eyed everything else. On a recent work trip I ordered a 33$ bowl on Uber Eats with double protein, eggplant, spicy feta and some more goodies. The food was delivered fairly quickly but the portion was ridiculously small. This location was staffed with some of the worst customer service employees I have ever encountered. I even emailed the parent company, about a mislabeling situation and they refused to respond. Be careful here guys....My plate was at the point where you add sauce, I asked for Harissa. (Harissa is a chili paste, a blend of hot peppers, spices, and oil. ) Their Harissa sauce was mixed with Mayonnaise. It was not labeled (Harissa Aioli or Harissa Mayo). When I informed the lady I could not eat mayonnaise, she said....you asked for Harissa, this is what you get, I am not remaking anything. So I told her please scrape the sauce off, immediately. She refused to do so. It was quite an ordeal! Why I paid for it and scraped 1/2 of my dish in the trash, still has me shaking my head. If they have mislabeled one thing...they have mislabeled others. The bowl had fresh ingredients, the only thing I didnt like was the pita because it was kind of gummy like it had gotten steamed a little bit. I have this friend, we both love Cava. He also loves mezeh. He told me to try Mezeh and said I might even like it more than Cava. I have tried it twice and it is a no for me. Food does look good and fresh but the taste just wasn't for me. I went back for a second time and still no. And both times, I tried talking to the servers for recommendations since am new to mezeh but they seem to be annoyed, didn't wanna talk and was rushing me. I will start by saying the food itself is always consistent here! Quality food, quality portions, and prices that are worth it, considering what you get. We typically will get the Mezah feasts and eat on them for a couple days. A great bang for your buck. The service has been hit or miss here. We have had some of our orders messed up (whether it was incorrect and missing items). It is sometimes difficult to get this sorted out since the employees speak little to no English. I had just arrived on a plane from St Louis MO & was looking for a spot near my hotel for a quick healthy lunch. When I stumbled on Mezeh, I knew immediately it would be Mediterranean food, so I was eager to try it. I was immediately met with a casual but intentional interior decor that resembles a middle eastern Souk (market)! The music also assists in the vibe! The restaurant is counter-service much in the style of a Chipotle; you first choose bowl or wrap (or pita!), then your greens, rice, meat, and unlimited freshly prepared salads & vegetables, including mainstays such as Tabbouli, Baba Ganoush, hummus, roasted peppers, marinated kalamata olives, shredded beets, Israeli couscous, AND MORE! Some of the offerings are prepared hot & spicy, which I like, and Omar serving me was very clear in the explanation. My meal came with a pita pocket, 2 dressings, & I added a fountain tea. The entire presentation was so beautiful & appetizing! And it was delicious. So good I may return for dinner...or maybe lunch tomorrow! I am hoping to see this format near me in the Midwest, soon. My wife and I have been to Mezeh Mediterranean Grill about half a dozen times since it opened. We love the food here because everything is cooked onsite and it's fresh. The food packs a punch of flavor and everything is Halal which is similar to Kosher. Mediterranean style food isn't widely available so it's nice that this place is nestled right here in Midlothian. For people unfamiliar, this place is the Mediterranean version of Chipotle. It's all mix-and-match from whatever stuff you choose. I'm a kale man myself, and I usually stick to the lamb kefta or the shredded lamb. Be warned this food packs a punch, if you can't handle spice, steer clear of several things (lamb kefta, steak shawarma, s'hug dip, harissa sauce, and the crunchy chickpeas). The staff are super nice so just ask and they'll be more than happy to answer. Every experience I've had here has been great! read more

Not only did they have what I was looking for, they had great ingredients and my food was so incredibly fresh. I ordered ahead ("Grab & Go") and it was ready at the exact minute estimated. I ordered the flatbread wrap with spinach, brown basmati rice, chicken shwarma, Turkish salad, Lebanese tabbouleh, hummus, and lemon garlic sauce -- it was absolutely delicious and so, so fresh. I savored every bite and ate the entire thing. The best part? I wasn't even painfully full even after eating the entire wrap! I felt as light as a feather but still satisfied. You can just tell that the food is really fresh and healthy, which I loved because it was exactly what I was looking for. Also, I tried the Acai Black Tea and it was very good, too. I visit this restaurant quite often. Since the last time I visited the food preparation has changed dramatically. The pieces of chicken used to be moist & sizeable, now they are shredded w/ tiny diced bits. Even the wonderful sliced carmelized eggplant is now tiny diced bits. And with them using the little serving spoons,for the toppings, I ended up with about half of what I received in the past. It moved quickly though, and I had my meal and was on my way in about 40 minutes. Much like other Mezeh locations, this is a counter service restaurant serving mediterranean bowls wraps, and pita pockets, where you pick your style, base of greens and/or grains, protein, and toppings. My only complaint about this location is the lack of soda fountain. All the drinks were juice blend - only option of those of us on a carb restricted diet was water, not even an unsweet tea! Can be an awesome restaurant, I have ordered as often as daily at times, its that good when its good! But...not only is it inconsistent with quality and accuracy of orders, (and regularly off these last few weeks) missing important ingredients like hummus, baba ganoush, in the bowls, on each of the last 3 orders, and its so prevalent that Doordash stopped taking orders from the Midlo store, AGAIN...but, instead of fixing their mistakes, they also RAISED THEIR PRICES AGAIN IN TWO MONTHS! Raised in the last week from $12.00 to $14 for a bowl. WHAT? But only at this store! Absolute insanity! And such a shame! To be failing because of poor quality and then RAISE YOUR PRICES is just plain stupid. I am so sad to lose this as a regular weekly dinner, but I cannot support raising prices when your quality is so inconsistent. read more

I have long been awaiting the opening of the Midlothian mezeh. Back in the day when I worked at work (who even knows what that's like) I was up near the short pump location and could easily get Mezeh whenever I wanted. Not to mention other names (rhymes with lavbut a very similar style restuarant has been in my area for awhile and it's tasty but it does not compare with Mezeh. Everything that mezeh has is so full of flavor and there are so many unique toppings. Now that I've been working from home, I don't want to trek up to short pump for one meal so I've been patiently waiting and now it's here! Plus I got picked for the Yelp perk of a free bowl. I would pay a million bucks for mezeh but I'll take it free if i can! The inside seems maybe a bit smaller than the short pump location but doesn't seem cramped. I always get a grain bowl with all kinds of goodies. My favorite is the caramelized eggplant and when I asked for a lot of it they didn't skimp at all. Sometimes at the other location I have to keep asking for more. The staff was very friendly and all Covid precautions were followed. Unlike short pump, they don't have the soda selection which I don't mind and have more of their specialty drinks. Mezeh has A LOT of options... however, I do prefer Cava. I wasn't a huge fan of the pita that they give you on the side (which I usually love). No sure when it will be ready! I should have just asked for a refund then!! In shock I froze, then other customers who we were in line we like hey is anyone taking orders?! At this point ALL the employee just stopped working & we standing in back. One guy had said they were waiting on rice to cook and was refusing to take anyone's orders. I am not sure what was happening at this location but maybe this spot needs to close. Some customers left, some waited. The rude guy who snapped on me earlier made my order and gave it to me. It was 6:20 but this time! I left got in my car and opened my food. (You see the picture below) I was pissed! Mezeh is a new establishment serving Mediterranean style food which will gain the attention of anyone trying to skip the burgers and the deep friend temptations that are hardening arteries and killing America slowly. I've been to this location twice now and enjoyed a full bowl of flavorful light fair and left pleased with a full belly each time. They operate on a system of build-your-own bowl or burrito (etc) much like Cava or Chipotle which I truly enjoy. I like to build in lots of flavors and colors and throw anything in spicy that I can find. Fortunately on each visit we walked in with no line but a line of customers had shown up by the time we were seated and enjoying our food. The only thing to mention is it is a slow moving process. It probably takes about 5 minutes on average to make someone's meal so just imagine if there were 2, 3, or just 4 people in front of you so, it might be good to order ahead on the app or - just make sure you're not terribly hungry when you go there just in case you find yourself in queue for longer than you might expect. The staff are all noticeably lacking any sort of happiness or energy. You probably won't catch a smile or have a friendly encounter though I think deep down everyone's a good person, just maybe it's the style of management or the company itself that makes it not such a bright, enjoyable place to work. read more
