Lots of good light coming in the windows. Tables when I got there needed to be wiped down and when I was leaving they were doing just that. If you follow me you know I'm very careful with my 1 star reviews! Someone decided to earn it here and it's well deserved! The stars of this one star review will be the associate and the store manager! The only reason I go to Mezeh is being able to make my own bowl Keto style and stay away from Carbs with a Mediterranean taste! Don't get me wrong! Mezeh as a company is amazing! My favorite! But as I always say to my friends, there is always that one person who ruins the experience! In this case they were two!! The associate can't speak enough English at all and unfortunately I can't speak her language! I avoid almost all the toppings because a lot of them has carbs and then I stack on the Turkish salad but she refused that! Wrong! That's not the company policy at all! Also she couldn't believe herself that I'm independently wealthy enough to get extra meat on the side! I started to ask for the manager who was very close and had an eye contact with me! Heard me saying I'm asking for the manager! He's still looking at me! I then asked him, can I talk to you?? Then he ignored me and walked inside! WOW! Good job man! You just lost a customer! Great job! Then he comes back angry at me and saying ok ok we will do it this time! Do what this time???? I don't take the other toppings and I take more Turkish salad itself! OMG is what I have to say because this place was awesome! I've never been here before or any place like this but I'm glad I gave it a try because it was well worth it! I really didn't know where to start and the person taken my order seemed to not know how to speak English well because she couldn't really explain to me the process or what the items was. So I just took a look and put somethings together that seemed to sound like it would be tasty. I got the steak with a mix of veggies and brown rice with a yogurt sauce that next time I will definitely get more. Bowl was the damn bomb! Is set up so that you choose your method to eat, bowl or wrap, your protein with both meat and vegetarian options, brown or white rice, and lots of toppings to add. The service is always welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is clean and stylishly decorated. It's fast, inexpensive, fresh food with lots of choices to eat as well as unique fruit juices to drink. My husband and I stopped in for a quick dinner while out running errands on Friday night, 11/10. The food was average, the worker was friendly, but that's about the only decent things to say. Unfortunately, the establishment was not being maintained whatsoever. Other than us, there were no patrons (should have been my sign to leave) and the workers didn't appear to be doing anything too productive. The tables were all dirty and the trashcan was overflowing alongside the dish bin. I found a slightly clean table and wipes it down with my own wipes, so I could try and enjoy my food. The last 10-15 minutes we were there 2 women came in to eat along with their French bulldog. It was very obvious by all of their behaviors this was no service dog, simply their pet. While walking down the assembly line the young lady even picked up the dog and was holding it like a small child, making the dogs head almost over the glass barrier between them and the food. The worker said absolutely nothing. After getting their food it seemed they were going to the outdoor eating area, but quickly changed their minds. They went over to a corner, sticking the dog slightly under the table and started eating their meal. The whole situation was just unsanitary and the 2 workers continued doing nothing. Per the VA health dept.... Virginia Food Laws prohibit live animals at food establishments with a few exceptions. Service animals are always allowed inside an establishment. Dogs may also be allowed in outdoor dining areas if the establishment follows certain guidelines and gets approval from the health department. This establishment has potential, but whoever is running it, is doing it absolutely no favors. We will be sticking with Cava from now on. read more

Once upon a time this place was great. The staff was friendly, the portion of the entree was reasonable, if not abundant and they had a sonic ice machine. Sadly, not so anymore and I absolutely refuse to come back to this Mezeh. The workers there were argumentative after they were confronted for basically short-changing my entrees of the chicken kabob and steak. We even paid extra $6 for extra meat and they scooped up mostly uncooked vegetables with 2 sad pieces of chicken. $40 for 2 bowls of salads with uncooked vegetables and 2 pieces of meat. What kind of scam is this?! And they have no shame by claiming each scoop of chicken was 4oz. But guess what, that 4oz. of chicken was 3.5oz of raw vegetables and 0.5oz. of chicken. We even tipped them. I imagine if we didn't, we wouldn't even get the half an ounce of meat. Shame on this Mezeh! Buyers beware! Make sure you request only meat in your scoop of meat. read more

I just love this chain and the food they serve. Always fresh, always friendly, great serving sizes. Today I got a bowl with the chicken kebab and a sampling of so many of the toppings they offer. Love the different sauces and feta cheeses, the roasted eggplant is crazy delicious and the crispy chickpeas are the perfect touch at the end. So glad they opened up here! read more

When I don't want a heavy meal but something filling this is a go to. I like the variety in toppings which makes me feel you don't need a protein, though I get the falafel. This was my first time visiting and I'll definitely be back. You walk up and select your items (similar to chipotle or subway) and you select your Green, grain, and protein.
