Since they redid the layout, it's like they are a Chipotle 2.0, except sloppier. The staff (evening of 7/30) wasn't rude, but were far from good at customer greeting or service. No smiles, no welcome, the music was louder than their voices, oh and no thank you for spending nearly $60 on 2 bowl, 2 drinks, and 2 cookies. Rather than speak when I asked which side to order on (because it's opposite from before the remodel), one of the line food sloppers (the people throwing the food in the bowls as you order) just pointed in the direction to go. The way they just plopped the food in the bowls was as if no one happened to be looking while they did it and definitely indicating they could care less about how they treat the food you're about to eat. That whole show made the restaurant just feel unclean and unwelcoming. Juicy, flavorful, with that perfect char on the outside--somebody's Mediterranean grandma is definitely in the kitchen whispering secrets. And the roasted veggies? Whew. Perfectly seasoned, slightly caramelized, and adding just the right amount of freshness to balance it all out. Every forkful was giving earthy, smoky, and just-right spicy all in one bite. I thought I would like the idea of CAVA table but this place is sloppy. The menu is black and white, printed off the office copier, and taped to the Covid barrier left over from the pandemic. Stacks of beverages are just sitting on the floor behind the counter. I dared not peak into the kitchen even though it's an open layout. This is a small location. Even so, they'll give you a numbered beeper so they can locate you when bringing out your food. Drinks options are limited but it appears they may want to have a coffee bar? I was offered lemonades, shakes, or canned beverages by the gentleman taking the order. I opted for the lemonade, which was very good. Cava table allows you to build your own bowl but unlike normal Cava... you pick from menu without seeing. I opted for a chicken Shawarma sandwich. It was overstuffed and sloppy. Dropped my better half off at IKEA and went off to run errands. They were not finished shopping and I wanted to wait somewhere comfortably and read a book until they were done. CAVA had good reviews and *bonus* had espresso drinks so I tried it out. First up was the Moroccan Day Dreamer Latte. No joke when they dropped it off with the greenery floating in it I thought I made a major mistake - but it was good. Really good. Fragrant delicious spices in just the right balance. Mmmm! Some time later I received a message saying my avid shopper was taking a break and snacking, so I did too. This time I tried a chocolate mocha latte and a falafel sandwich. The falafel isn't really a sandwich, it comes in a really thick pita-like wrap which is kind of dense, and it's missing something for me - feta cheese? Tsatziki sauce? But really the entire sandwich was seriously impressive for $10.45. The mocha was good but I missed the lovely flavors of the Moroccan latte. I think this is my first CAVA experience. I've been going to this particular location for approximately 4 years and it has truly gone down hill! The initial staff was always warm, welcoming, pleasant, and customer centric. The new staff that has been employed is caddy, always giving each other side eye, and conversing about the clients in their native tongue. I'm African however, I do speak and understand Spanish fluently so I can attest to what I am saying. They now ration the rice as though they running out and they are charging top dollar for a protein inclusive salad bowl. On more than one occasion my family has come in there and spent well over a hundred dollars and not once did anyone mention the benefits of the app until one of the original members happen to be present and he aided us on the process. I only go to this location because it's close in proximity to my home but I hate and dread going in there every time. read more

I came to Cava yesterday and ordered the Harissa chicken and the spicy lamb meatball. After I had taken a couple of the bites of the lamb meatballs I realized that they were nasty and completely uncooked. Later that night I ended up getting severely sick and realized I had gotten food poisoning. The GM gave me a refund only for the bowl but I feel I should have been refunded for the whole meal since I barely ate any of it and ended up vomiting and on the toilet for hours after that meal. cava was the only thing that I ate yesterday so I KNOW it was them. The GM was very nice but I feel like he did not care nor did he accept that they had undercooked the meatballs. He told me that the red I was seeing was just from the spice. I really like the concept of Cava Table and it's a shame that they will be converting this to a regular Cava instead of putting more resources into it. I wish they polished this location because it always felt very temporary, down to the confusing paper menus and lack of evidence of its existence on cava's website or online ordering. I love their small plates. The shining star of the menu is their tahini milkshakes and soft serve. I wish they would bring back the sour cherries and mint as toppers. They also have some coffee based drinks that include Mediterranean spices. I wish they would focus on this cafe concept and just bring it into modern eatery operations with clear internet presence and digestible menus. read more

Like the name suggests this version of CAVA is quite different from the regular CAVA. You order then wait staff will bring you your food. Menu is also different in a way that they added variants to their regular menu. Ambiance is relaxing. Love the olive tree as a centerpiece of the restaurant. It sort of ties into the concept of Mediterranean casual dining. Hope they will be abel to put up more of these around NOVA. read more

Wow, I was blown away by this place. In NC, we have Cava's but none like this. It was gorgeous inside and the menu is slightly different. They serve amazing coffee. I had a mint lemon tea which was delicious and I built my own bowl. The service was a little slow but it was a busy time. I loved sitting here and enjoying my meal, the place is so pretty. The steak was very tender and cooked perfectly. Salad was fresh, loved the sumac on the rice, and the sweet potatoes made for a great dessert, especially bc they were asian sweet potatoes. Cava was on the list of places to try for both my wife and me. We checked out the menu prior and enjoyed the selection of premade bowls and the build your bowl option. I signed up for their rewards but noticed that the Woodbridge location wasn't available. I enjoy looking at the menu in the app for places as it gives descriptions of items versus their menu. Unfortunately, this was not the case for Cava since the Woodbridge location wasn't in their app. My wife and I walked in and didn't have to wait, and we were able to place our order. Unlike Chipotle, we did not walk down a line to build our bowls. Instead, we put the order at the register, and it was made in the kitchen. I had ordered the hummus dip, but I am assuming the cashier did not hear, but it was okay as after I got the food, I asked for a side of hummus. It's about time we get a Cava in Woodbridge and especially a new concept at that. Ever since I saw that the space was being replaced by a Cava I checked daily to see when it would be open and as soon as I saw that it was we headed over. We've been here about 10+ times and cycled through most of the bowls but my absolute favorite thing to get here is the Chicken Shawarma bowl. Everything in the bowl works well together and it is not too salty. The dates give it sweetness and the veggies give it a great crunch. It's super filling and it has been great every time. I also love to add a Vanilla Baklava oat shake to my orders as well. It's so creamy and the pistachios give you good texture as well. The service is so fast and efficient that getting you order usually takes less than 10 minutes. Hopefully they do add online ordering in the future because it will be easier to build your own bowl as opposed to having to tell it to someone. read more

CAVA has a new member of the family, CAVA Table! I have been awaiting the opening of the newest location and was curious about 'Table' being adding to the CAVA name. CAVA Table still offers the delicious flavors and similar type items I love at CAVA but with a more cafe like atmosphere. There is lots of space for work and play, plus outdoor seating too! The menu is packed with options from bowls and sandwiches to soups and smoothies. Dare I say I like CAVA Table even more than CAVA? Must Try Menu Items: - Cauliflower Cashew Soup - Tahini Oat Milk Soft Serve (+ make it into a shake with turkish coffee banana) - Cucumber Mint Juice - Anything with the date vinaigrette I am sure I will continue adding to my must try list. It's like Cava hit puberty and had a glow up to THEE Cava Table. They have a coffee bar, Internet cafe, Mediterranean eatery kinda vibe. The decor colors are relaxing, the staff is helpful& friendly and they have pretty great food and beverage options. Sure... they still have the regular, degular, shmegular bowl choices BUT they also have pre- selected combos like meatball brócolini and village chicken that rips you from your comfort zone with zeal. *SQUEALS* Bonus- they have dairy free shakes AND outdoor tables ... SWOON!!! Anyhoo... try it. It's wonderful and purrrty on the inside too. You may see me there....so say hi- don't be weird.
