This is my first review, I apologize for the length but I was disappointed again. We came in on Saturday night and expected it to be busy but we didn't even think we were going to be served. We didn't want to be a bother on account it was a weekend night. The food was good but the service was poor. This was the third time that we had the same server Christian.Food was great even for the waiting, the drinks were perfect. we watched our food under the heat lamps while he just stood there talking and another server brought us our food. Pretty good for Mediterranean food in the states. The food was mostly delicious. With some dishes (such as the halloumi cheese) being incredibly enjoyable. However, the desserts were a bit of a let down. The service was friendly. The server was helpful, knowledgeable, and nice. Just as we were about to head out the belly dancer showed up. This place is so ridiculously good. That's like all the summary you need seriously. So 100% this is going to become one of the hottest spots to go to and there will be a wait list. Atmosphere: You'll want to take a picture of everything it is gorgeous incredibly and painstakingly well fought out and just has this atmosphere about it of warm and luxurious and comfortable. Service: We had Jose taking care of us on this particular day and he was very pleasant no issues was very prompt we never waited for anything and overall great experience we were one of the few people there though because it was Christmas Eve. Parking: This is a shared open air lot situation right now there isn't a lot of people that are there at this point because a lot of places are still being built so it was very easy to park. Value: We got 3 things the kids chicken tender plate which was shockingly amazing especially for chicken tenders I couldn't believe it the cold appetizer played and the sha shuka. The waiter did recommend having the shushaka with cheese I actually would disagree with it however everything else was good. I hate to say that I didn't even bother to look at the bill but I truly believe that whatever they would have charged me I probably would have paid I know the sounds crazy to write but it was truly that good. Awesome little Mediterranean joint, not far from the house. Came here with a buddy last week during happy hour. Service was amazing. Shout out to our waitress Abby who was an overall fun person, very nice, helpful and accommodating. On to the meal. I started off with an order of falafel. They were good but not quite the best I've had. They could've been a tad more moist inside and maybe a bit more flavorful. They definitely weren't terrible; I've had dry/terrible falafel before at other Mediterranean restaurants. These were somewhere in the middle. To eat, I got the Shawarmacos. I saw it on the Happy hour menu & I HAD to have it. I've been to my fair share of Mediterranean restaurants and I've NEVER had Chicken Shawarma TACOS before, something new. And these did not disappoint! They were amazing! Flavorful meat, fresh ingredients and the soft shell tacos added a whole new twist opposed to pita bread. It took the taste of the bread out of the equation and allow you to enjoy the flavors of the meat & ingredients. I'm so mad that I forgot to snap a pic! the fries were also top notch! Incredibly well seasoned and perfectly cooked with a nice crunch. Definitely get the fries! The happy hour drinks were a bit lackluster to me. I started with a Mango Layla which was actually pretty good. I should've just got another one of those but after I finished that, I grabbed a Cucumberry Mule which was a tad too sweet & the cucumber flavor was very overpowering to me. Then I grabbed a Mediterranean Margarita which was the complete opposite, very sour and not sweet at all. So if you come for happy hour, stick to the Laylas; can't go wrong with those. Great staff, very attentive and obliging, and our waitress was awesome when it came to ensuring we had a really good lunch. I enjoyed the red pepper hummus and we both loved the halloumi cheese salad which had the most incredible dressing - so good that we had to order extra on the side. They should bottle that dressing. I worried this place was not for my family with a toddler, but it was. The owner was very welcoming. He let us pick any table we wanted. His staff was polite and kind as well. We ordered hummus, appetizer and a small mix grill. Everything was delicious. I can't say enough about how good the quality, the presentation and the flavor of their food was. My husband said this place was exceptional. It took a while for our grilled meat to come out. My toddler lost his patience. The waitor apologized that he thought we needed time for our appetizers. I think it's partly my fault. I should've told him that I wanted everything to come out at once. If you have a little one, note that. Ambiance- very nice decor Our first time in this restaurant. Persian/Lebanese/Mediterranean food is our favorite. We had a reservation with a high top. Didn't get that. Instead got a small table that could barely fit 3 people and our food. Never NOT had Naan bread come with our meal. Very overpriced place. Naan bread is traditionally served in Iran/Central Asia. Wow! I can't believe this amazing place has been right behind where I live and I only just found it. Thanks to yelp I spotted it and tried it out with my dad. The decor is so nice and the vibes are really cool. Comfy chairs and cool tables. We went about 3:30 or so and it was slow probably right before the busy dinner rush. We had an amazing server named Onesty. She was extremely kind and provided an amazing experience for us. I asked for a surprise on one of the iced tea drinks and she made me a delicious Na'na butterfly pea tea concoction on their menu. So light and refreshing. We tried the Shawarmacos tacos which were excellent and flavorful. I ordered the lamb and beef kafta bowl. Definitely impressed by the flavor and the rice was also so good. I wanted to try something a little different tonight and found this new spot that had open and wanted to give it a shot. I was immediately greeted when I walked in and promptly seated. I felt extremely welcomed! The first thing I noticed was how clean and lovely this business is. Lyna was my waitress, and she was kind and helpful as I normally don't eat Mediterranean food, and I only knew hummus. I did get a hummus, only let down is it is only 1 piece of pita bread, but you really need 2 for the amount given. I had the beef kabobs and with 2 different sauces, which they both elude me. One was a white sauce crisp, the second a spicy sauce it was good, but I wasn't a fan of the aftertaste. The rice was good to me a bit bland. HOWEVER, this could be just how that dish is served. It was really good after a couple of hits of salt and pepper. I ended the night with baklava, and it was so delicious! I can't wait to return and try some different dishes. I ordered take out. The lamb chops were cooked as instructed, I paired them with their basmati yellow rice and tabuleh. The person on the phone was very accommodating and helpful. When I picked up the food I saw a great ambiance and made me want to come back and experience it. I ordered a bottle of water and I got a beautiful glass bottle of Italian water from Tuscany. One draw back is that it was not a twist off and I didn't have a bottle opener. Two suggestions for take out: 1. Include portable salt for your takeout orders. My lamb chops' flavor needed a bit of salt enhancement. 2. Warn your customers that they require a bottle opener. read more

Service was top notch. My boyfriend and I had the following dishes: Earl Grey Tea, Cold Mezze Trio, Mixed Grill Plate, and Knafe. I highly recommend all these dishes. The Mezze Trio and Mixed Grill plates are great if you want to sample a little bit of everything for your first time here. The Knafe was mind blowing! I truly have never had anything like it. The dessert is unique, but all the flavors go so well together! Overall, I can see myself returning to try other dishes. My wife and I have been trying out the local Mediterranean fare recently and finally visited Mezze#1. The restaurant is a little difficult to find due to it lacking visibility from the main road so you'll probably want to utilize GPS to find it. The restaurant itself was tastefully appointed with higher end finishes and you are welcomed with pleasant smells as soon as you walk in the door. We started our meal with an order of hummus from the lunch menu. The hummus was smooth and creamy but we were disappointed that it only came with one piece of pita bread that we had to tear in half. Additionally, the hummus order was very small for the price. We ordered the chicken shawarma and the lamb and beef kafta bowls off of the lunch menu. Both bowls were served with minimal waiting time and came with salad and basmati rice. The chicken was moist, flavorful and paired nicely with the garlic sauce. The lamb and beef kafta was equally delectable and was served with a delicious tzatziki sauce. The real winner of both bowls was the basmati rice. It was perfectly cooked, fluffy, aromatic and pleasantly seasoned. During the meal both my wife and I commented "They really know what they are doing" in relation to the quality and flavor of the food. We finished our meal with an order of baklava to go. The baklava order came with one piece of pistachio baklava and one piece of cashew baklava. The Pistachio baklava was very good but the cashew baklava lacked flavor and texture. Why isn't Mezze#1 getting a five star rating from me? It's definitely not because of the food which was exceptional. It's because of the price. For one appetizer, two entrees off of the lunch menu and an order of baklava we spent over fifty dollars. Normally when a restaurant serves food that is this tasty my wife and I become regulars. Even though the food was excellent I can't justify eating here for these prices when there are so many other superb Mediterranean restaurants in the area for half the cost. read more

This is a relatively new restaurant. Service was excellent -- the server was only on his third day, but was attentive and knowledgeable and friendly. I just had the hummus sampler mezze as my main, and it was really good -- the fire-roasted hummus in particular was excellent.
