    Fire Roasted Pepper Hummus
    Mandy C.

This is one of my favorite places to come!!! The staff is so accommodating and kind!!!! The atmosphere is calming and quaint!! My waitress was amazing!!! Told her I was on a day off and not to bother with me as she had a table of 8! The red pepper hummus is a must!!!!! I was by myself and barely ate 1/3 of it!!! But it is soooooo worth it!!!!! They have a full bar and many drink options to choose from!!! If you're in the area, please stop!!!! The best food ever!!!!

Upon entry the young lady asked if we had reservations-we did not! She found us a table anyway and seated us. Started off with amazing cocktails and falafel with pickled veggies!! Dinner consisted of the mixed grill! Haloumi cheese salad was impeccable! The chicken, beef, and rice were excellent! The lamb was chewy and probably overcooked. Hubby had the gyro and enjoyed it. Fries are great with extra seasoning! Dessert was baklava-pistachio, chocolate, and walnut! The chocolate was decadent! Hot Chai tea was delicious!! We enjoyed it! Great atmosphere and beautiful restaurant. Small dining room with a bar and patio!

Would have taken a picture of this beautiful hummus but we ate it all! So delicious!

Per my 8 year old, the food here is better than most other restaurants:) The food and service is always top notch! Great ambience as well!

Had lunch today at Mezze#1 and was very pleased with the food, ambiance and service. Kylie was our waitress and she did great! We started with a Hummus platter with fresh and hot pita bread. Three different types of hummus were amazing, my favorite was roasted red pepper hummus. My wife and I split the Gyro Lamb wrap, it was delicious, and big enough to split. We also had a Greek salad, was fresh and very tasty! Best Mediterranean food we have had in this area. We will definitely be back!

I've gotten hooked on this dish called Shish Tawook and ordered a late night supper. The two skewers of chicken were grilled well and a good portion. You get to choose 2 dips. My non-spicy selections were the toum and tzaziki dips which were good and different. The salad had pickled onions, cucumbers etc. They were fresh and crunchy. Rice was nicely flavored. Ordered pita bread since it doesn't come with the meal. All in all, it was a nice wholesome meal for the days you needed a lift! The meal was packaged well and delivery by Uber was quick and efficient. It was a relaxing meal minus the drive!

Have you been searching for an authentic Lebanese place that offers delicious food and generous plate sizes? Look no further. We ordered the cold mezze sampler and chicken plate also the fattoush salad. First of all presentation was epic, but seriously when you look at the plate you see things that most places don't do. Garbanzos served with the hummus, pomegranate arils on the salad, radishes with the baba Ghanouj.... Most places don't do these things and it's epic. Really adds to the flavor, the presentation and authenticity. Service with Kindle was amazing. She took the time to talk and explain the menu, answered questions and made it personal. She was busy but wasn't rushing us or brushing us off. The only thing I wish they had more hookah flavors available. Regardless we will be back.

The service was top notch. Our waitress was a younger girl and she was the best. We say outside because my sister had her dog. When we got there the music was loud inside because there was a belly dancer. The inside of the restaurant is very nice and clean. We were greeted right away and met us outside with the menus. Only reason for the 4 stars is because the food was a tad overpriced and I've had better gyros. The traditional hummus was pretty good. Will come back again if I'm ever in the area.

This was a whim excursion after church In Huntsville Texas today. My sweet husband met my curiosity with trying a new place. Mediterranean foods are my absolute favorites, but I am hard to please. Today, we were both blown away from the moment we walked in. The ambiance is extremely inviting. The hostess was welcoming. The server was the best ever. We absolutely have no complaints. At all. Well worth the 20 minute Sunday drive. We will most definitely be back. I hope you will try it. You will not be disappointed.

I was craving a Gyro in town and it was amazing! Bigger than expected. The service was wonderful. Great atmosphere!

Immediately when I walked in I was jarred by the beautiful decor - it's an absolutely stunning dining room. The hostess walked me to a cozy table and then turned on my table lamp (how nifty!) kudos for the creativity and experience. Their food is so delicious! I loved their hummus and pita - their hummus was so smooth and I added an extra helping of chicken. Their pita came straight from the oven. I came in for lunch and ordered the kofta bowl as my entree. I thought the kofta was a little rubbery but still tasty. Their service however was impeccable! I came into Conroe for a 24 hour work trip and the server was so accommodating - he even packed me a soda to-go so I could stay awake. Will definitely be back when I visit for work!

Been here several times and all that I've tried is delicious! Stopped in today for lunch and had a Greek salad, hummus and falafel. Everything. was fresh and well prepared. Ordered off the lunch menu so it was all smaller bites so I could get a variety. Never sat on the patio before, but it was the perfect day for it and lovely. Good service even being out here.

We discovered Mezze#1 during the power outage post-Beryl (we just moved to the Woodlands area and hadn't gone exploring yet). We love that it's a hidden gem and in a quiet business area (in comparison to the other packed chain restaurants). We felt a bit underdressed when we arrived but there's no turning back once you're there. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and staged for parties and entertainment. We were there on a Thursday night but learned that they have live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays. I'll admit that our server (maybe bartender) didn't seem too thrilled to be serving us - he seemed very short with us. We'd have questions about the menu and he wasn't quite descriptive or assistive. We've owned a restaurant before to know how to read body language and cues but didn't let it deter us from enjoying our dinner. My husband and I typically eat a lot of food so we actually settled on the Mix Grill Plate for 3-4 people. Everything came out so hot and fresh, really picture perfect, and tasted great. We had a couple bits of meat leftover so we were able to get the attention of the other server, Lance(?), for a container and to pay our tab. I'm sure our server was just busy closing down the bar but for having only 1 table... All in all this is still a restaurant we'd enjoy going back to.

It was really a lot better than I thought it would be, glad I dressed like an adult. After spending thousands of dollars I like to treat myself to a good meal, this was the place. A restaurant with great atmosphere and fantastic staff. Definitely a great place to take a date. We started with the Red Pepper Hummus, her Mimosa and I had an Amaretto Sour. Soon enough our main dishes arrived. She had the salmon and I the Gyro with extra crisp fries. We took a bit longer as we chatted over our plans to conquer the world yet we're not rushed. Our bill was about $80, I left a $50 tip and she was worth it.

This is the case with Lama Mediterranean Cuisine in The Woodlands. My wife had a doctor's appointment at 2 pm and we live about 35 miles away, I figured go early and get some lunch and then get to the doctor with a full stomach. We put the address into the GPS and pulled right up in front of the restaurant. While it was nice weather outside, we decided to sit indoors and I am glad we did because I noticed some diners outdoors were batting away insects. Our server, Abraham came quickly and took our drink orders while we studied the menu and admired the beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.

Inside is elegant and well decorated with glass tables and large rugs everywhere. Looking at the menu, it's a mix of various cuisines, but they do separate out the Persian dishes which are somewhat similar to Mediterranean ones just cost a little more and have different spices altogether. If you visit on weekend nights, you'll likely get to see belly dancing here. I settled on the chicken shawarma wrap, even though it costs a few dollars more than the chicken pita. It does come with one side for $21,and I chose French fries. It tasted pretty good, but you do have to get used to the pickles which gives the wrap an overall weird taste. These are not your typical pickles which go well with American fried chicken sandwiches. A Mexican tortilla is used as a wrap here instead of the bread they use for wraps in other Mediterranean restaurants in Houston. If I wanted a chicken burrito, i would have dined at a Mexican restaurant. The fries are previously frozen ones and lightly seasoned and really only decent when hot. Unfortunately this is one of those restaurants which takes care of newly seated guests and large parties but ignores the tables of 1. Not my fault I only have one in my party. They seated me in the corner and another gentleman came about 20 mins after me and I never saw a waitress go to his table after being served his entree either. The chef or kitchen hand is the one who brings out the entree from the kitchen here and my waitress never showed up until they try to take your plate away. However, I was still eating and also waiting for 10 mins on a refill. I can only eat so much before needing to take a sip of a liquid...but if you come with a party of one here..you will likely be waiting awhile. The lady taking my plate wasn't even my waitress either. Meanwhile, for the gentleman sitting outside alone, I observed his drink to be empty a while and they weren't refilling his either. He finally leaves and goes to a cash register to pay. What? A semi-fine dining elegant spot with mandolin playing in the background has a cash register where you have to go up to pay? What is this world coming to? With these prices, they should roll out red carpet from the front door to your table each time you walk in....and surely make the waitress do something for once and take your card and swipe it herself at the cash register which shouldn't be in the middle of the damn room. Sort of defeats the purpose of being elegant. Did I mention the glasses are plastic here too. If they want to be refined, try at least using glasses for drinks.

Brisket slices and pita bread. Some of the dishes are spicy like the spicy hummus, spicy chicken dish, and their hot sauce. I had heard great things about the cafe at this new location, and had even tried their former location on Hillcroft a couple years ago as part of TooGoodToGo. While the concept is casual, the restaurant itself is very polished and feels like an upscale cafe. There is plenty of seating indoors as well as a huge patio outdoors. We opted to sit on the patio on a (rare) nice Houston day. The tables were spacious and the patio seating was very comfortable. We ordered the Kofta Kabob and Chicken Kabob specialty platters. These platters come with your choice of two sides - we went for the Fried Cauliflower, Tabouli Salad, Hummus, and Muhammara. The meats were so good and hit the spot. The Kofta Kabob had a complexity of flavor to it; so many spices that blended together really well. I will say that the post-meal burps of these spices were...smellier than usual. The Chicken Kabob was also flavorful and had a nice smokiness to it from the grill. I liked the slight crunch provided by the char along the edges. If I knew how to make chicken like this, it would be my daily meal prep! The Fried Cauliflower had a nice sear to it with lots of flavor. The Tabouli Salad and Hummus were comparable to those I've had at other Mediterranean places. The Muhammara was my favorite of the sides! It is a dip like hummus but also incorporates tomatoes, red bell peppers, and onions, among other spices; there was so much flavor to it and I could snack on this all day. The included pita bread was large, fluffy, and piping hot - perfect for dipping between the two side dips we got. Service was quick and friendly. The employee taking our order behind the counter was friendly and gave us the recommendation for the Muhammara - great rec. It absolutely was. The food and service were outstanding. They were out of doner when we arrived, but honestly, everything else we tried more than made up for it. Within about 10 minutes, the restaurant was pretty packed, so we clearly just arrived at the perfect time. We started with a bread basket served with fresh breads and an incredible tomato oil--simple, bold, and completely addictive. We had falafel with a creamy sauce (possibly yogurt or garlic-based) and stuffed grape leaves with olive oil, both beautifully done. Every dish came with fresh lettuce, lemon, thinly sliced onions that had clearly been soaked to remove the harsh bite, and a bright pickled cabbage that tied everything together perfectly. We also had lahmacun, which was deeply flavorful and incredibly satisfying. We were treated to complimentary Turkish tea and a meatless dish on the house, and I have to say--if you don't eat meat, you are not missing out on flavor at all. I grew up a meat eater, so I was genuinely surprised by how rich and delicious it was. I only wish I remembered the name so I could order it again. And then dessert... kunefe. Crispy shredded pastry, warm cheese, pistachios--easily one of the top 10 dishes I've ever eaten in my life. I usually hate mint in food, but two of the dishes included it and completely changed my mind--fresh, balanced, and done right. This place is a true hidden gem and one of my favorite dining experiences. I will absolutely be back, even if it's out of the way. Highly recommend.

*** GO! It's a must!!! **** Upon entering it was decorated…read morenicely. Lots of Turkish/Mediterranean decor. The water pitcher, tea cups, platters, cups were so cute. I drooled over the beauty of the water pitcher. They sold some of their Turkish coffee cups and tea cups along with other goods. It is located in a case up front. Service was top notch. Our waitress was very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable about the products. Let's get onto the food. It was all delicious very authentic. They were out of the chicken shish kebabs so I opted for the salmon. The salmon was flavored well, and I love the taste of the mild chard grill. My mother enjoyed her beef tenderloin kabobs. Another satisfying dish. The tea tray was so cute! The tea really hit the spot after the meal Another family came while we were there. They sat and enjoyed great food. They heard from a neighborhood Facebook group that this was a place to try because it was so good. They loved it! (We had a side conversation with them)
