I was there a few days ago for the first time. I would recommend this place with my closed eyes. Quality of food was excellent, as well as the service. We're in the area for our kiddoss' swim meet and we have a short window of time for lunch but I'm looking for something special for my now 10-yr old boy's bday. I found this place and as I was scanning the photos, I found that they give this free baklava with this huge firework-like candle for bday guests and I thought that was cool and my sweet boy will remember this as we've all never had something like this before. We walked in and we're immediately greeted by this very cheerful and kind server. We got seated quickly. The ambiance is unique and we love the tiny lamp lights on the tables. We don't have a lot of time to hang out here so I hurriedly requested for water for everyone, showed the server my first Yelp check-in so we can avail of the free baba ghanouj, and then showed him the picture of the free bday baklava treat. As I was showing him the photo on my phone, my inquisitive son asked to see what it was and I told him "No" and I made eye contact with the server and he immediately "knew" exactly what I was talking about (as this was supposed to be a surprise). ;-) Server immediately went and got our glasses of water as I hurried to go over the menu. As soon as he got back, we were ready to place our order. We also asked how long the dishes will be out as we probably only have about 40 mins left before we needed to leave to get to the afternoon meet. He said it will take about 10 mins and true enough our food was on our table right about that time frame. My boys got the chicken sandwich with fries , I got the beef lamb kafta sandwich, and my husband got the Greek salad with gyro meat. The baba ghanouj was also served along with the rest of our orders. Y'all... they have the best seasoned meats! And the flavors blend so well we all pretty much ate up everything in our plates! My boys weren't sure if they're going to like it, especially when I "made" them eat everything on their plates and not omit any fixings. They ate their food without complaints. And they also love the hot crispy fries too. Halfway through our meal, our server came back asking us what time we needed to leave and we told him. He was trying to make sure the surprise comes out before we go. And sure enough, my little one had ZERO idea I even made that arrangement to surprise him! The restaurant played a unique bday song on their speakers and our server and another lady staff came to our table with that thing blazing out from the baklava plate. They also had my boy wear this red hat thingy towards the end of the song. It was funny! And oh, that baklava is super delish too! Overall, it was an amazing experience! We had the Moroccan mint tea that's brought to you over a candle so it stays warm. It was so so good and I normally hate tea. The hummus and babaganoush were my favorite. Both creamy and super flavorful. I had the chicken shawarma pita for my meal and my wife got the lamb pita. They give you perfect portions. The lamb was moist and juicy. We ordered the Turkish coffee to share. It was strong but had a subtle flavor of sweetness. We got the baklava for dessert and it was the best I have ever had. The only problem we encountered was the party sitting behind us. They had several Children that just ran around the entire restaurant the entire 2 hours we were there. You could tell multiple people were annoyed. They seemed to be friends/family of the owner so nothing was done. We stopped by here on our drive from Dallas to Houston. First off, this place is overpriced. They're charging NY prices and get away with it because I don't think there's much other options in the area (Conroe, TX) There was plastic in my $10 lentil soup so needless to stay it was store bought and not made in house. I had the salmon and it was bland and the spinach salad it came with unimaginative. It wasn't even Mediterranean. They charged $29 or so for the salmon plate. 2 stars bc my husband said his gyro platter was good. Keep in mind the gyro was $26. (Prices on Google are old). Maybe I'm spoiled by Open sesame in Dallas which is half the price for the gyro and lentil soup and all of which is made fresh in house, with actual tabbouleh and fattoush as sides instead of a unmassaged bland spinach salad. First time I had food from this restaurant. Ordered the sampler appetizer and the mix grill for two with that tzatziki sauce and a hot Mediterranean sauce as a takeout. I requested chicken and lamb without the beef for the mix grill. The entree also came with rice and salad. Everything was so tasty and I would absolutely recommend the restaurant. Recommend making reservations if you are going to dine in the inside position of the restaurant. It gets full quickly and they were only able to take walk-ins if they were willing to eat outside or at the bar. Updated a 2 star to 4 star for great customer service and pretty good food. They were out of tzatziki sauce (as of 630 pm but close at 10 pm). They also "ran out of chicken breasts so can't serve chicken kebabs." Initially I was disappointed but then they came back to say they were also out of a second entree with chicken and I was just baffled/upset. After they returned reporting out of the second entree, they did agree to make some tzatziki for us rather than reserve tomorrows batch which was appreciated. They also brought complimentary dessert for our whole table. Apparently if run out of the chicken it has to marinate 24 h so can't scramble for that. I really appreciated that this business despite running low on supplies really put back the word service into restaurant experiences. I've seen many places just scoff at their own mistakes. We tried Mezze last week on Memorial Day evening. It is a lovely restaurant, with indoor and outdoor space. The menu is very intriguing, with quite a variety of offerings. If you are not familiar with this type of food, it helps to get samplers or share with friends. We were very impressed with the appetizers, especially the Halloumi and the Hummus. The kabobs were very good. I had a gyro which was good but did not have as much flavors as ones that I have had elsewhere. The bread and dips were very good. We were too stuffed to try the desserts! There are also products that can be purchased such as olive oil, etc. Our waiter was quite attentive and knew the menu.
