A little high priced for a buffet at $21.99 ea but then again this is located right outside the woodlands mall. You might call and ask for prices and maybe during week it is cheaper??? Maybe this was the weekend price? but you can also order steak and or their proteins and they will grille to order fresh. Plenty of choices and gluten free if that is your thing. Near end if buffet they have a really spicy and hot steak and veggies item that I really liked but I like spicy. Everything you see on my plate was very good. Plenty of parking and plenty of tables. I would go again for sure.

    Buffet options

Lots of choices in the buffet. Food is decent but I do think this buffet is overpriced. The hummus and salad variety is one of the best parts of the buffet. They also do lamb shanks and euro if you ask at the buffet line.

Food was delicious with a ton of variety. Everything is clearly labeled. Restaurant is very clean, I love this! Pretty good value, we will be back.

Ate here after driving in from New Orleans and it was definitely worth the money. Everything tasted so fresh! I loved the okra and the falafels! And yes the pita bread was fresh baked! Definitely good To note though that the lamb shank is ONLY during dinner hours.. we thought it was part of the buffet all day according to TikTok... The guys at the buffet were helpful, but I do wish there was someone there when you walk in so that we could be told what to do and expect. We kind of just walked in and helped our self. Overall, it was a very nice and chill spot for some delicious Mediterranean food

Dimassi's has been here awhile and six years is a long time between reviews. What has changed? Not much. Background music remains a relief from kitchen noises. Exposed pipe, ducts, electrical wiring compete with subtle lighting, granite tables, and the brown and black color scheme decor. Frankly, I find little that appeals to me about the food: Seasoning always seems lacking and meat's always seem dry.....but ONE thing keeps me interested: The humble eggplant. By Golly, this is what I must have about every 6 years! Baba ghanoush and a stewed eggplant in pomegranate paste: who would've thunk SO GOOD!

You can always find something that you will love even if you are not familiar with Mediterranean cooking. Food is nicely served and hot.

Ehhh not the best tasting food. Wasn't very fresh, just tasted dry or old. I did enjoy the kale salad tho.

The food was a little worse than the other Dimassi's I've been to, but nice atmosphere. The main meets were a little dry. Maybe bad timing.

What day(s) are the lamb shanks available? Is it served for lunch? Or, just dinner? Or, by special request?

I don't know what days exactly but we've been on a Saturday around 6pm and Sunday around 5 pm and they had them then . https://dimassis.com/menu/ this is their website I don't see where it says it's only at specific days or times

    Is this place dank?

How about you read the reviews? But it's a buffet so... come hungry, leave stuffed.

This is the case with Lama Mediterranean Cuisine in The Woodlands. My wife had a doctor's appointment at 2 pm and we live about 35 miles away, I figured go early and get some lunch and then get to the doctor with a full stomach. We put the address into the GPS and pulled right up in front of the restaurant. While it was nice weather outside, we decided to sit indoors and I am glad we did because I noticed some diners outdoors were batting away insects. Our server, Abraham came quickly and took our drink orders while we studied the menu and admired the beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.

I finally visited this Greek/Mediterranean/Persian restaurant on a Sunday for lunch to see why it's…read morerated so high. Inside is elegant and well decorated with glass tables and large rugs everywhere. Looking at the menu, it's a mix of various cuisines, but they do separate out the Persian dishes which are somewhat similar to Mediterranean ones just cost a little more and have different spices altogether. If you visit on weekend nights, you'll likely get to see belly dancing here. I settled on the chicken shawarma wrap, even though it costs a few dollars more than the chicken pita. It does come with one side for $21,and I chose French fries. It tasted pretty good, but you do have to get used to the pickles which gives the wrap an overall weird taste. These are not your typical pickles which go well with American fried chicken sandwiches. A Mexican tortilla is used as a wrap here instead of the bread they use for wraps in other Mediterranean restaurants in Houston. If I wanted a chicken burrito, i would have dined at a Mexican restaurant. The fries are previously frozen ones and lightly seasoned and really only decent when hot. Unfortunately this is one of those restaurants which takes care of newly seated guests and large parties but ignores the tables of 1. Not my fault I only have one in my party. They seated me in the corner and another gentleman came about 20 mins after me and I never saw a waitress go to his table after being served his entree either. The chef or kitchen hand is the one who brings out the entree from the kitchen here and my waitress never showed up until they try to take your plate away. However, I was still eating and also waiting for 10 mins on a refill. I can only eat so much before needing to take a sip of a liquid...but if you come with a party of one here..you will likely be waiting awhile. The lady taking my plate wasn't even my waitress either. Meanwhile, for the gentleman sitting outside alone, I observed his drink to be empty a while and they weren't refilling his either. He finally leaves and goes to a cash register to pay. What? A semi-fine dining elegant spot with mandolin playing in the background has a cash register where you have to go up to pay? What is this world coming to? With these prices, they should roll out red carpet from the front door to your table each time you walk in....and surely make the waitress do something for once and take your card and swipe it herself at the cash register which shouldn't be in the middle of the damn room. Sort of defeats the purpose of being elegant. Did I mention the glasses are plastic here too. If they want to be refined, try at least using glasses for drinks.

It absolutely was. The food and service were outstanding. They were out of doner when we arrived, but honestly, everything else we tried more than made up for it. Within about 10 minutes, the restaurant was pretty packed, so we clearly just arrived at the perfect time. We started with a bread basket served with fresh breads and an incredible tomato oil--simple, bold, and completely addictive. We had falafel with a creamy sauce (possibly yogurt or garlic-based) and stuffed grape leaves with olive oil, both beautifully done. Every dish came with fresh lettuce, lemon, thinly sliced onions that had clearly been soaked to remove the harsh bite, and a bright pickled cabbage that tied everything together perfectly. We also had lahmacun, which was deeply flavorful and incredibly satisfying. We were treated to complimentary Turkish tea and a meatless dish on the house, and I have to say--if you don't eat meat, you are not missing out on flavor at all. I grew up a meat eater, so I was genuinely surprised by how rich and delicious it was. I only wish I remembered the name so I could order it again. And then dessert... kunefe. Crispy shredded pastry, warm cheese, pistachios--easily one of the top 10 dishes I've ever eaten in my life. I usually hate mint in food, but two of the dishes included it and completely changed my mind--fresh, balanced, and done right. This place is a true hidden gem and one of my favorite dining experiences. I will absolutely be back, even if it's out of the way. Highly recommend.

I drooled over the beauty of the water pitcher. They sold some of their Turkish coffee cups and tea cups along with other goods. It is located in a case up front. Service was top notch. Our waitress was very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable about the products. Let's get onto the food. It was all delicious very authentic. They were out of the chicken shish kebabs so I opted for the salmon. The salmon was flavored well, and I love the taste of the mild chard grill. My mother enjoyed her beef tenderloin kabobs. Brisket slices and pita bread. Some of the dishes are spicy like the spicy hummus, spicy chicken dish, and their hot sauce. Some of the compartments were not all that hot, like the butter chicken, the day I visited. It was bland anyway, very different than the Indian version, so I don't think heat would have helped much. At the end was dessert time. They have about 5 desserts. I tried the roll with lots of peanuts, the baklava, the sweet bread and the flan. I have to say I liked the baklava the best as I figured I would. Service was friendly though.
