Really good food here. Service is good. Complementary bread if you dine in. I recommend trying the turkish beer The portion sizes are fitting for the price. Their rice is more on the moist side, which is my only down for this place. Everything else is really good. Fair amount of seats outside and inside. Parking can be hectic if you want a closer spot.

THE BIG: Mediterranean Turkish spot in the Triangle of Central Austin. Homey interior with outdoor seating available. Parking is plenty with garages around. THE BLACK AND WHITE: This place is always busy! We came here on a thursday afternoon for dinner and you first order at the front, then you get a number and the dishes get brought to you. Also at the front is the dessert displays, which is smart because we definitely got one. For food, we got the iskender, lamb beyti, and roasted red pepper Hummus. The bread is a lil stale but that's not suppose to be the main part of the meal. The iskender was nice and hefty however the star of the show was the lamb beyti. Lamb was cooked perfectly and wrapped around the pita with a nice serving of yogurt. To round out the meal, we got a baklava cheesecake pistachio dessert for dessert. All desserts are made in house and daily. It was so good with the filo serving as the crust and the cheese being super creamy. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overlal the damage done was about $75 for the feast. Highly recommend this place as the flavors, atmosphere and service was top notch. Will be back soon.

We visited MezzeMe on a Saturday for dinner and had about a 30-minute wait. The highlight of the meal was the complimentary warm pita and hummus. The pita was soft, fresh, and delicious, and the hummus was creamy with great flavor. We also tried the Truffle Feta Fries, which were just okay--I was hoping they'd be crispier with a stronger truffle flavor. For our mains, we ordered the Forever Falafel, Lahmacun, Falafel Pita Pocket, and Chicken Shish Kebap Pita Pocket. The fillings were flavorful, and the portion sizes were generous. The only downside was that the pita pockets were served cold and felt a little dry. I'd recommend ordering the Forever Falafel and enjoying it with the complimentary warm pita instead. We finished with the pistachio baklava and honey cake, and both desserts were delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back to try more dishes.

Came here as our first stop for dinner while on vacation in Austin, and we were pleasantly surprised with this place. We really enjoyed our Lamb beyti and it was our first time trying it, we are hooked now! We also ordered the honey cake and the baklava cheesecake and they didn't disappoint! Our favorite was the cheesecake, it was so fresh and not overly sweet. We also had some black Turkish teas offered to us for free by the manager, or the owner, super nice guy.

Another nice meal today. I had the Mezze Meatballs. They were soft and easy to cut even with my fork. The veggies (onion, cabbage, relish) and cucumber tzaziki sauce that are on the side with the meatballs and rice added a real nice flavor. The food came fast and with a smile! The place was clean including the outdoor seating. Thanks Mezzeme!

Food was fantabulous, kebab in the "Not-So-Little Lamb" dish was so glossy and juicy. The "Caesar Tahini Salad" was so fresh with lots of lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced red onion, and topped with crumbled feta and the yummiest grilled chicken. The owner was really friendly as well. The Crispy Chick dish was decent, but maybe order something else because I don't think this place specializes in fried chicken. Portion sizes are perfect and the feel of the place is modern but cozy.

Governor's Mixed Kebap Plate, Zucchini Yogurt with Fresh Dill and Walnuts, Chicken Lemon Orzo Soup

Overall: 3.6/5 [delivery] We ordered on UberEats and the food arrived on time. Governor's Mixed Kebap Plate ($26.95): The plate came with chicken, köfte meatballs, ground lamb kebap (adana), ezme, pickled red cabbage, onion, rice, and a sauce. I chose the crazy grain rice which is a mix of black rice and lentils, and the spicy harissa sauce. The ezme, pickled red cabbage, and adana were my favorites. The chicken was good too and the köfte meatballs were my least favorite of the bunch. The pita bread was also fire and super fresh, honestly one of the best I've had when it's heated up and warm. The box was completely packed and was easily enough for 2 meals or to share between 2 people. Zucchini Yogurt with Fresh Dill and Walnuts ($3.25): Not a fan. It had a sour aftertaste with a citrusy zing that made me think this went bad. Chicken Lemon Orzo Soup ($6.99): Came with chickpeas, shredded chicken, and orzo. It was really yummy, especially paired with some sourdough bread I had on hand.

I have been wanting to try this place for years! I've heard so many good things and it really did not disappoint. The food is so delicious and taste healthy even though it's rich and flavor. The restaurant is located in the triangle and parking is limited. This restaurant also gets pretty busy the later you wait so go early and better for smaller groups of people rather than a large crowd. Seating is limited and they have shared table top seating, so you have to be comfortable sitting with others. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and attentive. The only problem we had was someone trying to breathe down our neck while they waited for us to leave so they could sit in our spot. It was kind of unpleasant and so adding more seating would be my only feedback. We had the MA platter which consisted of multiple hummus and eggplant dish with tomatoes and potatoes and olives and tabouli. This is a great plate to share with the pita bread. I also had the lamb beyti like a lamb kebab in a wrap cut up with delicious savory sauce and dusted with pistachio. Many of their dishes are good for sharing as the portions are very large. I was happy to bring home leftovers this is definitely a place I will return.

The food was delicious, healthy, and such a great deal! I got the chicken plate and my friend got the chicken wrap. The wrap was SO big - definitely worth the money!! You order at the front. There is some parking spaces out front but busy; there's also a free dedicated triangle parking garage closeby!

We arrived at noon, party of 4, it was busy with no tables available. Stood in line then were told what we already knew then asked to get out of line and would let us know when we could sit and she would take our order. Great. About 30 minutes later we had a table and were told to get back in line. Thought she was taking our order?? Poor communication with a language barrier with most staff. We ordered and our food came out one at a time. All foods were not hot, nor warm. The falafels and truffle fries were already cool by the time it made it to the table. Soups and entrees also were not hot, a slight warmth next to cool. The desserts were the highlight of the meal. The pistachio cheesecake was delicious, the carrot baklava great but tasted like a standard baklava, the layered honey cake wasn't bad, it was slightly dry in my opinion. Drove over 20 miles and not sure it's worth it unless they open one more northwest of Austin with larger space and better management. Parking is limited however there is a garage available with free parking.

If I could eat here every day I would- it's honestly that good. This gem has big portions for a reasonable price and it's GOOD. Mezze platter is a must- you get to sample the different dips and it's served with hot pita bread. The lamb beyti is huge!! It's super rich- lamb wrapped in dough. But just split with some people because it's a wonderful dish to try. The governors plate is also a great mix of seasoned meats served with some veggies and rice! Everything we had here was great. Nothing was "just ok". I came twice in a week because I was thinking about their hummus topped with olive oil. To top it off, service is awesome.

    Governor's (Mix Kebap) Plate
    Anisya N.

I love the fun, vibrant ambiance straight off the bat. You order at the front and they give you a number. For two people, we got the governor's plate and chick me out. Portion sizes were quite good and we had leftovers as well! The complimentary pita was so soft and pillowy pairing well with all the meats that were juicy, tender and cooked to perfection. Also enjoyed the sides that came with it which were very refreshing. Good spot for a casual meal!

Plan ahead or use rideshare if you can. Service was great--attentive and smooth throughout our meal with two adults and two kids. We ordered the whipped feta spread (excellent with the pistachios and oil; the house bread was a bit salty), Brussels sprouts (cooked perfectly), grilled chicken kebabs, the shawarma-spiced steak frites, and the grilled Branzino. The Branzino was the clear star of the show--flavorful and well-executed. The chicken and steak were mediocre at best. For dessert we shared the sticky date cake, which had a nice crunch outside and was warm and moist inside. It's a bit pricey (we paid over $240 for the four of us), but the setting, strong service, and that excellent Branzino make it worthwhile. I'd definitely come back.

We spent around $600 with tip and fees for 5 (mixed grill, two apps, two drinks each); and while the food was delicious the meats were luke warm not piping hot, our server while very friendly was not the best at giving suggestions (basically she said everything is good lol) and wasn't able to split the check 2/3 and 1/3 instead of 50/50 ("... I don't know how to do that"), and the cocktails while tasty didn't really feel special enough to be $21-25 each. It was a very enjoyable experience I just don't know that it lived up to the price tag. For that price I'm looking for exceptional not just very good. That being said the food was delicious! Pricey but pretty good portions. The server said the mixed grill was good for around 4 people, but with two apps it was actually a little too much food for the 5 of us. Mixed grill ($220): -Rosewood Wagyu Strip and Lamb Chops: tie between these two for the best dish; they were both juicy and tender and the sauces were delicious. Not served piping hot but they were so good I didn't really mind. -Harissa Marinated Beef Tenderloin: great flavor- a tad dry. -Spiced Lamb Kefta: also dry, I liked it best with the yogurt sauce. -Red Pepper Chicken Thigh: delicious, one of my fav kabobs. -Herb & Garlic Shrimp: tasty and not overcooked -Charred King Trumpet mushroom: loved the veggie option! they mushrooms were substantial and the sauce was great. -Crispy Shallot Hummus: very good- loved the crispy shallots in particular! -Manti Dumplings: top app- I would 100% order this again the dumplings were delicious and the sauce/yogurt on top of them was the best, we wiped up every drop with the pitas! -The pita bread was hot, fresh, and delicious and our service kept on offering more, so I don't know if they've changed their policy but my experience was not the same as reviews that said only one pita per person. We refused extra pitas 3 times I think! Cocktails- everything we tried was quite good, but again there wasn't the pizaz or just 'blown away by the flavor' to feel that the crazy price was totally justified. We tried: Spanish G&T (very refreshing- don't chew on the juniper berries lol), Banana Bread Old Fashioned (pretty good even for someone who doesn't much like whiskey!), Bonfire on a Beach (fun, smokey, love the harissa on the side), Peach Martini (teensy bit sweet for me but good). The manager stopped by a few times to check on us and our server was very attentive. She did give us good service its just for the high price I would expect some more detailed suggestions on drinks, being able to split the check other than 50/50 (or at least ask someone instead of just saying 'I don't know how'). It was friendly and enthusiastic service just not 'wow this truly is fine dining' service. Outside of the restaurant, parking is a bit of a pain but that is normal for down town. We parked at the Laz garage half a block away- $8 for 2 hrs instead of the $27 for valet.

Again all super fresh veggies filled the pita wrap and very tasty chicken. They had outdoor seating for our dog who was our dinner guest. But you have to order inside. Which I did. The person who took the order was busy but did a great job. We asked for a couple of large glasses of water with lemon and she promptly took care of us. There were small glasses out on the table but we wanted large ones cus we didn't want to keep walking inside. No problem. Food arrived after a short while and was delicious. They have a nice parking lot however getting in and out can be a little bit crazy when you have everyone from Austin rushing home. Had to wait a long time to get to exit the parking lot cus not one Texan driver would give us a break and let me in the exit lane. Next time I see a Texas license plate in New York I will remember that. But I will still give them a break.

Parking was a bit of a challenge but was able to park on the curb out front. Once inside, we placed our order at the counter and pre-paid and were given a number. They have an extensive menu with traditional Greek dishes and all-day breakfast options. As well as a full bar offering aromatic coffee, hand-crafted cocktails, fine wine, and a selection of local and international beers. The restaurant was busy we were able to place our order in a timely fashion. I opted for a cocktail along with lentils and rice and added chicken as the protein. There was indoor and outdoor seating available. After ordering, we sat outside in the most cozy and intimate outdoor seating area. Unfortunately, after waiting 30+ minutes, we never received our food. When we checked at the counter, the interaction felt pretty condescending, staff insisted the order had already been brought out even though we never received it and still had our number with us. At that point we had to cancel the order so we wouldn't miss our show. I do appreciate that they offered a full refund without issue, but overall the experience left us disappointed, especially with how the situation was handled.

Seeing how it was transformed into The Greek Bar made my heart smile. I couldn't believe how they had transformed it, especially the outdoor seating area. A little oasis off Oltolf. As soon as we got there we were greeted by one of the owners. Daphne was all smiles and instantly made us feel at home. She was so informative, you can tell she had a passion and was very proud of her restaurant... Rightfully so! We started with some cocktails... My friend had the Gin and Tonic, I had the Old Fashion... Very nice and our other friend had the lemonade. Even though it was an afternoon in July... The outdoor area was very comfortable with the fans blowing on us and the natural breeze coming through. The menu was explained to us and she gave us recommendations. Both of my friends got the Lamb Kefta skewers... What a beautiful plate.. All the vibrant colors. I ordered the Greek Fried Chicken. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was feeling adventurous. The menu description was Greek Style Fried Chicken with Loukoumades ( Greek Style donuts drizzled with honey), slaw and house made pickles. Another stunning presentation. I tried each item first separately and each item were both delightful and unique. The Brine of the Feta Marinade Chicken that was crispy but light and so tender inside with the sweetness of the donuts and topped off with crunchy slaw that had a great dill and fresh taste to it, all came together. Think Chicken and Waffles but Greek Style. From beginning to end, it was an absolute treat. Perfect place for a date, girl's night out, an important occasion to celebrate or just want to treat yourself. The Greek Bar is a great representation of what is South Austin.... Comfortable, Corky and just a Great Vibe. I look forward to coming here for Dinner, exploring more of their menu and treat myself to another great cocktail. A gem for sure!

While good, the spreads are a bit underwhelming compared to similar Greek restaurants in the Austin area. Similar thoughts on the skewer and rice (not pictured). Inside is adorable but loud. Cute date spot but not good for yapping; it was hard to hear girlfriends over music and bar noise. They do have a patio with fans.

The hardwood ceiling and the glass window in front of me seemed to amplify sound from every direction. I was with a group of six men, and none of us could hear each other. As the noise increased, every table seemed to raise its volume just to communicate, and it became painful. The food had a BBQ flavor, which was different for Mexican food. Some people may like that, but it was not what I expected. It was 4 star food. I think sitting outside would probably be much better.
