    Spoiled Brat

Great for a quick bite...Plenty of covered outdoor seating. Parking is limited. The menu is pretty decent but this is more like a fast food Mediterranean restaurant. You can get bowls or wraps. I got a wrap called the Spoiled Brat. Lots of food and favorable sauces. I am not sure but it appeared they were going to have some live music. They were setting up as I was keaving. So, if you work or live in thus area, it is worth the visit.

Kebabalicious is just a brief walk from my home and I'm glad for it. They started out with a food truck and now have this physical location. The fellas that own it have been at it for almost 20 years! Doner kebabs are my jam when I'm in the UK and I'm happy to say my jam at home as well. These guys nail it with the doners! The chicken doner kebab is my favorite with the halal steak coming in as a close second. I appreciate that all of the ingredients are fresh with flavors that just kick. Try the chicken rice bowl or K-fries too. Explosively fragrant and madly yummy.

When I was in college many years ago Kebabalicious was just as good. And now? IT FELT LIKE IT TASTED BETTER. I got the hutspa and kfries and I kid you not I dreamed about it for the next two days. Only to go back to Houston and not find a falafel of the same caliber. What I love especially about Kebabalicious is the various sauces you won't find elsewhere and the flavor profile. I love this Turkish take and I highly recommend it to anyone. When you think fast casual "Mediterranean", think Kebabalicious! The restaurant is order at the counter and pick up when ready. You can place your first order online for 15% off. Additionally, everyone is so nice! And you can get wonderful cucumber water as you eat on the side.

I got the halal organic steak rice bowl with kabaam sauce. Amazing food and service. Clean place, easy to find. Everything was fresh.

Got the rice bowl with falafel and a side of fries with za'atar here yesterday night. I thought they had an indoor seating area but it turns out they only have outdoor seating that's covered. Thankfully they do have some heaters that they turned on from my friend and me. As for the food itself, it was solid. I enjoyed the rice topped with almonds and two sauces that you get the choose; I got the tzatziki and the tahini. The falafel itself was pretty moist but the flavor got a little lost with the rice and sauces. Overall, it was good but not great. It's a good option to have in the neighborhood though.

I came here for dinner recently and really enjoyed my meal! I was expecting this spot to be a standalone food truck but it is so cute and has so much outdoor seating, part of which is covered under a patio situation. The guy who took my order was very nice and gave good suggestions. I ended up ordering the rice bowl with the beef and lamb kebab meat and it was so good. Everything was very flavorful and had a lot of depth. I loved the almonds being sprinkled on top! It added a nice crunch. Overall I really enjoyed this place and hope to see more people try it as well!

Holy Mother of God the food is SO DARN GOOD!!!!! It's a walk up window. Outdoor seating with big fans for the Texas heat. I couldn't decide what to have so I got a lot A bowl with grilled chicken and tzatziki and tahini sauces Hummus and Pita And their K-fries The chicken was some of the best chicken I've had in a while The hummus was definitely homemade The fries - dear Lord! They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside (so perfect basically) covered in a red sauce that had a nice kick to it the feta was sprinkled over the top and it was served with a lemon wedge. I will dream about these fries. Everything that came out looked good. Everything I had was fresh. Parking was pretty easy. Staff was nice. I do wish they had dessert - though I'm not sure I could eat, I'm so full (three containers of take home means I'm eating well tonight). I'll definitely be back.

I am going to call it the OG for how long they have been serving delicious food. They were highly recommended by the family who have been dining here for over a decade. Loved the food. Its filling. The sauces were soo good and the red pepper sauce was truly refreshing. Loved it. Will definitely visit again. I am still wondering how crispy the falafel was.

I was unsure what to expect, didn't realize it's just an order window and you sit outside. But man is the food amazing! I got the spoiled brat because I couldn't make up my mind about what I wanted. The meat was perfectly seasoned, falafel was flavorful, and the pita bread was warm and fluffy! The red sauce added a little kick to it. Best kebab place I've been to!

The food was good, but definitely not worth the price. Two items came out to just over $43, which felt steep for what we got.

Was on town and wanted to give this place a try. The lady who helped us was super enthusiastic about all their food and let us sample the sauces, which were quite good and they also have a wide selection. Given her enthusiasm, we were not fully satisfied with the food. She raved about how great the rice was, so we tried both a rice bowl and a salad. First off, portions were a bit small. The lamb was better than the falafel, and the rice was just awful. It tasted undercooked, and was hard and stale. I'm hoping that the rice is not always like this. They do have nice outdoor seating and complementary fruit infused water which was refreshing, but the food was not up to par.

The kebabs are the true highlight...juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection. The portions are quite large as the hubs and I shared a wrap. We were sufficiently full after eating the chicken tikka wrap. Interestingly, the wrap came in a Shawarma King packaging with their contact phone number. So, I assume that Usta staff are sub-contracting from Shawarma King. Usta also has freshly baked bread and classic sides like hummus and rice paired with the main dishes. The restaurant has a homey, lived in feel. It has a few middle eastern artifacts sprinkled throughout the restaurant. On the desserts front, they have an assortment of desserts and several sections of ice cream. I had the baklava, which was surprisingly delicious...it was not eye-squinting sweet like a standard baklava. It was crunchy, flavorful, and had nuts that were substantial. Layla, my server, was so super sweet and welcoming. She pointed out that Usta provides its customers free tea. How cool is that? I cannot remember last time I received a free drink.

We spent around $600 with tip and fees for 5 (mixed grill, two apps, two drinks each); and while the food was delicious the meats were luke warm not piping hot, our server while very friendly was not the best at giving suggestions (basically she said everything is good lol) and wasn't able to split the check 2/3 and 1/3 instead of 50/50 ("... I don't know how to do that"), and the cocktails while tasty didn't really feel special enough to be $21-25 each. It was a very enjoyable experience I just don't know that it lived up to the price tag. For that price I'm looking for exceptional not just very good. That being said the food was delicious! Pricey but pretty good portions. The server said the mixed grill was good for around 4 people, but with two apps it was actually a little too much food for the 5 of us. Mixed grill ($220): -Rosewood Wagyu Strip and Lamb Chops: tie between these two for the best dish; they were both juicy and tender and the sauces were delicious. Not served piping hot but they were so good I didn't really mind. -Harissa Marinated Beef Tenderloin: great flavor- a tad dry. -Spiced Lamb Kefta: also dry, I liked it best with the yogurt sauce. -Red Pepper Chicken Thigh: delicious, one of my fav kabobs. -Herb & Garlic Shrimp: tasty and not overcooked -Charred King Trumpet mushroom: loved the veggie option! they mushrooms were substantial and the sauce was great. -Crispy Shallot Hummus: very good- loved the crispy shallots in particular! -Manti Dumplings: top app- I would 100% order this again the dumplings were delicious and the sauce/yogurt on top of them was the best, we wiped up every drop with the pitas! -The pita bread was hot, fresh, and delicious and our service kept on offering more, so I don't know if they've changed their policy but my experience was not the same as reviews that said only one pita per person. We refused extra pitas 3 times I think! Cocktails- everything we tried was quite good, but again there wasn't the pizaz or just 'blown away by the flavor' to feel that the crazy price was totally justified. We tried: Spanish G&T (very refreshing- don't chew on the juniper berries lol), Banana Bread Old Fashioned (pretty good even for someone who doesn't much like whiskey!), Bonfire on a Beach (fun, smokey, love the harissa on the side), Peach Martini (teensy bit sweet for me but good). The manager stopped by a few times to check on us and our server was very attentive. She did give us good service its just for the high price I would expect some more detailed suggestions on drinks, being able to split the check other than 50/50 (or at least ask someone instead of just saying 'I don't know how'). It was friendly and enthusiastic service just not 'wow this truly is fine dining' service. Outside of the restaurant, parking is a bit of a pain but that is normal for down town. We parked at the Laz garage half a block away- $8 for 2 hrs instead of the $27 for valet.

The meat itself was okay, decently cooked, and topped with quite a lot of some spice that I can't quite put my finger on. It was okay. The rice though, that is what really disappointed me. Persian rice is usually amazing, but this really didn't seem traditional and it had a strange taste to it. It also came with onion and a grilled tomato, both solid additions. Good portion though. The doogh yogurt drink wasn't homemade like I had hoped, but in all honesty, it still really hit the spot on a hot Austin day. Reasonable price. The saffron rice was also fairly disappointing. Large white chunks (clotted cream maybe? But they were pretty tasteless), gritty texture, not much flavor. Just not really worth it. All in all, a bit of a disappointing dinner in Austin. A Fantastic Introduction to Mediterranean Food!…read more I recently visited Levant Halal Restaurant and brought my parents, who are visiting from India. It was their very first time trying Mediterranean food, and they absolutely loved it! We started with two different types of hummus served with pita. The hummus was incredibly flavorful, and the pita was exceptionally fresh. We also ordered the falafel, which was perfectly prepared and delicious. For the main course, we shared the Chicken Shish Taouk with sides of beet salsa and Lebanese potatoes--everything was cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. Honestly, the highlight of the meal for us was the drinks. The mint juice and beet juice were so refreshing and easily the best part! We finished our meal with baklava and basbousa for dessert, and both were fresh, sweet, and incredibly tasty. Beyond the fantastic food, the ambiance is very neat and clean, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Levant Halal, especially if you are looking for a great place to introduce family to Mediterranean cuisine!

We were able to get four half portion sides instead of two which allowed us to try more of the vast options. I ordered chicken kabob, couscous salad, potatoes, lentils and beet salad. My husband ordered the beef shawarma, salad, jalapeño humus, rice and potatoes. Once we ordered and paid, we got our drinks and were seated. Our food was brought to us hot and fresh. The food was vibrant and colorful. Everything tasted as good as it looked. Perfectly seasoned and delicious! We will return when we're in the area.
