The waitress didn't bring us out plates or clean up the plates and we had to wait awhile just to get our bill. She just disappeared. One thing that really bothered myself and my friend was the table that had hookah with a young child at the table. I feel that should not be allowed at all.

We had no reservations and decided to walk in after my proposal because the restaurant was across from our hotel. From the second we walked in, the experience was absolutely exceptional. Our hostess, Jada, was incredibly sweet and welcoming. When she asked if we were celebrating anything special and I shared that we had just gotten engaged moments before, she immediately made us feel celebrated and cared for. When she brought us to our table, it was beautifully decorated with heart confetti and a handwritten congratulatory note. Such a thoughtful touch that instantly made the night even more magical. Our server, Alex, was AMAZING. Truly one of the best servers we have ever had. He was attentive, kind, professional, outgoing, and made our entire experience feel warm and personal. Every recommendation was wonderful, the service was flawless, and he genuinely made our night feel extra special. Then the manager, Danielle, came to our table to personally congratulate us. She had such a beautiful energy and made us feel so welcomed and appreciated. She told us if we needed absolutely anything, to let her know. That small moment meant so much to us because she genuinely did not have to go out of her way to make us feel celebrated, but she did, and it made a lasting impression. The food and drinks were phenomenal from beginning to end. Everything was delicious. But what truly touched us was how the night kept getting sweeter. Met a friend...all ecxited that Cap Grille finally instituted a "Happy Hour" or in RI an "Appy Hour" they call it Capital Hours. Clearly advertised as offered in Providence, Sundays 4-9. (Pull it up --on their website!) When seated, I asked for the Capital Hours Menu. Our server Stephanie (lovely) said it's not offered on Sunday? I asked for the manager who came over and I showed him the advertisement from their website that clearly says Capital Hours, Sunday 9-4. First thing he said was --"I don't know where you got that... could be fake." What? Then he said "I'll call corporate and have them take that down and dismissively walked away. I told him I would call corporate and I did. They had the managing partner call me. I wish you could hear the recording. Something about the State, corporate and unicorns.
