Pleasant ambiance with a private room in the back for private events. The service was great - they were constantly checking in and timing our meal to ensure each course came not too early or late after the previous course. The food was delicious full of flavor, but not salty. My only critique is I asked for my filet mignon to be medium - it was medium well with almost no pink in the middle. Because it was still tasty and tender, I did not mention how it was overcooked to the server. I know they would have ended up throwing it out and making another, which I hate wasting food coming from my humble roots. Everything from the starters to the dessert was lovely. Nice place for a date night or special occasion!

I'm a long time Capital Grille customer and tonight's dinner was beyond amazing !!! It started off great with a super nice waiter Jorge who by the end of the night seamed like our best friend. I've ordered the steak au poivre many times over the years but tonight's was over the top good. Everything else was just as good and the coconut cream pie made the night unforgettable. Thanks again Jorge for the royal treatment

We decided to celebrate my birthday here, and The Capital Grill did NOT disappoint. Everything we experienced was top notch- food to service to atmosphere. All 10 out of 10s. Manny took me through the "generous pour" wine flight special paired with a four course dinner. I upgraded the entree to the 22oz, bone-in ribeye. +$20... Worth it!!! My wife ordered the 10oz filet. Both steaks were cooked to the perfection temps we ordered. We also shared a half-sized order of wild mushrooms and a half-sized order of mashed potatoes. I also can't leave out we had to try what ended up being the world's largest, tastiest French onion soup, ever. Expensive experience? Sure. But you get what you pay for and then some.

A consistently great experience at The Capital Grille in Providence. Excellent steaks, attentive service, and the bonus of complimentary valet parking make this an easy choice for special occasions. The staff is friendly and professional, the desserts are impressive, and the wine list is extensive--plus there's a full bar if you're in the mood for a good cocktail. The classic, high-end steakhouse ambiance works perfectly for business meetings, celebrations, or even a first date. And yes--valet parking is free, but the team definitely deserves a good tip for their great service!

Amazing as always! Our server was phenomenal, very attentive and nice! The atmosphere at The Capital Grille is perfect for date night, classy and refined. The food is delicious, I always get the filet mignon which is cooked to perfection. The meal is perfectly complete with an espresso martini.

Food/Drinks: My SIL and I decided to go on a little dinner date here. We decided to get the special, which was filet mignon with crab meat on top and this delicious sauce, and it came with asparagus. We also got a side of mashed potatoes and another side of asparagus because we didn't realize it already came with our meal, so we ended up with two additional sides. Although this restaurant is pretty expensive, I must say that the food was beyond delicious. I loved every single bite of everything I ate here. The drinks were so good. I even added a picture of what we got, but I don't remember the exact name. They were fruity yet strong, honestly super delicious, but again, everything here is on the pricey side. Our waitress also let us taste one of her favorite wines, which was a white, soft wine, and it was pretty good. The desserts were to die for and were also complimentary..mainly because I'm pretty sure they realized we were spending a lot since we got our food plus three drinks each lol. I didn't regret it at all..my bank account, on the other hand, maybe just a tad lol ;p Location: The location is beautiful, very classy, and perfect for a date or any special celebration or occasion. It's located in the middle of PVD, and they have valet. I would definitely dress up for this location it's not casual. The least you should go is business casual. Service: The service was amazing, and although we did get charged for the white wine that we didn't really ask for but was brought to us without a request from our server to try and still added to our bill, but I truly appreciated the complimentary dessert which made up for that lol. The service was very professional, accommodating, informative, and overall just a wonderful experience. This is a pricey place, but you get what you pay for! I will definitely go back for a special occasion. No questions! 10 out of 10 recommend!

Good steaks and a great deal for restaurant week! Our favorite dishes were the creamed corn and the cheesecake! The steaks were well cooked but a little under seasoned unfortunately. The drinks were good, but nothing blew us away about them. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the dishes themselves. She gave great suggestions and knew her stuff! The restaurant itself is well done inside too!

Location is very good. Parking not so great. Staff is very friendly and accommodating Food is limited and expensive for quantity. No rib eye steaks on lunch menu, disappointed. Cocktails very good. Atmosphere clean and spacious. Romantic and private setting.

Absolutely delicious~ My sushi grade tuna was great. I loved the portion size because I'm not a a big eater~ it was perfect! The sauce on the sides were great and really added to the flavor especially with the rice tucked underneath. The cheese cake was a standard cheesecake. The sugar burnt top made it tasty, but the cheesecake was a standard soft and not too sweet. The servers were so kind and attentive with serving drinks, prepping bread, and having water refilled when needed. The place was beautiful,~ sitting down, I can tell the staff was attentive to every detail like fixing utensils, placement, and clearing the bread crumbs. My experience was very pleasant and will come back for another special occasion!

Rating: 4.3 Came to the capital grille for the holiday with family. We've been here few times but decided to rate this time around. They offer valet parking and service usually pretty good. The place is usually busy especially during the holidays so need reservation. Inside is large establishment with many tables and staffs. Usually there is some wait even with reservation as they manage a-lot of customers. I ordered dry aged bone in NY strip, lobster mac and cheese, and cheese cake. The steak was good portion, medium rare and flavorful. Lobster mac and cheese was good but felt like lobster didn't contribute to the dish that much. I didn't really taste the lobster since cheese was overwhelming. Cheese cake was pretty good. Soft cheese cake with caramelized sugar on top with side of fruits. Overall the food was very good. The service was also very good. All the staff were attentive and there to help when in need and checks on you often. Overall the place is good. The service and food are great. Downside is that the location is difficult for access, price is quite expensive, and usually busy so wait time can be long. If you don't mind the price I think it's good for rare occasions as long as you make reservation.

My advisor asked me to leave the Fidelity office because I acted up and tipped over a coat rack. He give advice on precious metals and Foo lose his shirt. Foo loves gold more than Goldfinger but Foo loves silver more than gold and Foo just lost the farm. "Foo, you gotta leave, you can't bust up our office!" said my advisor. "You know Foo, he hates big dip!" "It'll come back, now please go, I gotta clean up, I'll call you next week you crazy Foo!" said the Advisor. "Foo no like red ink, Capital Grill is calling me to drown sorrows." So, Foo, me the reviewer of this review, went upstairs to the Grille. "Hey Foo, long time, you going to bar or would like a table for one in prime location?" "Foo needs to be baller right now because Foo big loser today. I lost my shirt!" "Well, right this way dear, I have a table for you all set up for one! Then I'll help you find your shirt!" So I was brought to the back of the restaurant and got a Godfather table so I could see the whole joint. I slipped the hostess a little stack of grat. And then a moment later ... "Hi Foo, it's me Angelley for your set up, bread Foo!" "Yes, but no seeded rolls, just the others and a few more flats plus double butter!" "Coming right up, Foo, number one Foo at the Grille!" Foo looked around and took deep breath. Losing almost half of your extraordinary wealth in one day make Foo sad but happy because I'm so rich, Foo lose half but still in game for rebound. Foo timed head and shoulders dips and not afraid of backwardization caused by Shanghai markets. "Foo, Foo, what are you day dreaming," said best waiter Manny. "Manny, you are sight for sore eyes. I need Vieux Carre but made with Pappy and Louis XIII because Foo so depressed!" "Coming right up, for Mr. Foo!" I say with wink, "Chop Chop!" Manny say, "laugh out loud!" My drink was delicious, cost $1,200, but let Foo drown sorrows. For the rest of the meal Foo have Wagyu filet, wedge, lobster Mac and a cup of bisque to start. Foo wiped plate clean. "Foo, you must be stuffed," said Manny. "Yes, Foo stuffed like carnival prize!" "Anything else I can get for you Foo?" "Yes, Foo needs hug!" So Manny gave Foo big hugs and daps and Foo slips a massive stack of grat into his waiter's jacket pocket. Probably the biggest stack of grat Foo ever hand out. Manny walked Foo to the stairs while talking sports and life. Foo nodded politely and grinned in agreement. But, Foo noticed Manny walked like he about to tip over. Foo smile because Foo knows Manny wobble because it's hard to walk with so much grat in your pocket!

My friend knows much more about wine than I do, so he was the decision maker for our wine choices and we ordered a 1/2 bottle of red which we both found to be very delicious. Of course, we had to try some food too and the small bites menu was perfect with something to satisfy nearly every taste. We opted for the meat charcuterie, and it was beautifully presented with enough for the two of us to share. There is also a cheese charcuterie on the menu, but unfortunately there is not an option for a combined meat and cheese plate. We sat, sipped, and tasted for a while and never felt rushed. The atmosphere was so comfortable and we'll definitely consider going back here again.

I can browse a liquor store & pick out a bottle that exactly fits my preferences, my mood, & my budget. I can bring it home & uncork the wine, checking the cork for freshness. I can pull out my special glassware & pour myself a glass of wine & enjoy it on my own couch. So why go out to a wine bar, if not for the wine? For me, it's for the ambience & the experience. Both of those things at Providence Wine Bar were lacking. The lights were too bright (overhead & fluorescent) & the music was too loud (& just bad). The employees seemed both bored & nervous, with not much to do to occupy themselves. I was one of the only people in the bar, so I felt like I was under scrutiny - I'm certain this wasn't intentional but it was unfortunately how it came across. I brought a book but couldn't focus because of the lights & the music. I even caught myself with my fingers in my ears, trying to muffle the sounds of 2010s hyper pop. I have nothing against 2010s hyperpop, it's just that there's a time & place for everything, & maybe that isn't at a wine bar at 8 PM on a Wednesday. I just wanted to be done with my glass of wine so that I could leave. All of that being said, I wish them the best. It seems like they need a good manager's touch.

Chef Ben Sukle has received many accolades including being a James Beard Finalist so I knew we were in for a treat. Everything we ordered was so fresh, had a farm-to-table vibe, and felt very intentional. 3 different dishes had 3 different types of olive oil - that's impressive! I was blown away by the Red Shrimp Quasi Crudo. They were slightly sweet, perfectly cooked with a delicate snap, and I still got some of the roasted/grilled flavor. The Raw Scallops were so simple yet so exquisite. This is a must order along with anything on their crudo menu! The Carrot & Mascarpone Anolini was such a unique pasta and was perfectly balanced and delicious. And definitely leave room for dessert because you can't leave here without trying the Wood-Roasted Basque-Style Cheesecake. It's so creamy, borderline custardy, with a beautiful char on top and the delicate blueberries and olive oil that paired so well together. They are really using their wood-fire oven to the max and I'm here for it. What an exceptional meal; highly recommend.

My pieces were tasty but a bit fatty (hard to chew). I had the eggplant ravioli which was very rich and tasty ($28) - but so heavily sauced it was hard to tell what was what. The less good parts: the cheap wood chairs are too uncomfortable to sit on very long (I moved to the banquette next to my partner). The food is overpriced. It really needed something with it - bread, potatoes, vegetables, anything. The pork came with a few bitter leaves of a salad. I have a small appetite in general - I usually take home half my food anywhere I go. I looked at the food and said "we are going to have to go to IHOP later" because it was a light snack. The only bread available cost $12. Maybe it's amazing but I just couldn't bring myself to pay $12 for bread on principle. The food took awhile to arrive. Long enough for the server to tell us she was leaving for the night and to get up and order two drinks directly from the bar myself. The servers were nice in a way that felt somewhat forced. We are finding someplace else for dessert. I really liked my espresso martini, and that was within the price range I would expect ($13).

We were a party of three, but it could have been a party of six with all the food we ordered. We had the first reservation at 5 PM. We parked on the street, but you can park in the lot and they will validate your parking for you. The service was a 5/5 and the ambiance can be casual or fine dining. The lighting is perfect for a romantic night out and the view of the Providence River right over your shoulder. We made our own board: Umbriaco di Raboso "Drunken Cow" - amazing cheese, very high quality, sharp, not over powering. Definitely get it! Provolone - sharp very good quality provolone cheese Proscuitto di San Daniele - sliced very thin, soft and flavorful. I was very pleased with the portion size and the flavor. A must have! Spicy Olives - assorted olives with a spicy olive oil. All of the olives were fantastic and there definitely was a good kick from the spice. They threw in the pickles, jams, nuts and honey, all were fantastic. I really liked the blueberry jam. The warm tapas came out at all different times. Fried Bolognese olives - Although these were unique and delicious, I would skip these next time. The Bolognese is just a pinch on the inside of the olive. It would be a game changer if there was a side of Bolognese sauce to dip them in instead. Eggplant - Definitely a must order. Super simple sauce packed with flavor and the buffalo mozzarella is to die for. The pork belly is also a must order. Tons of flavor and not a lot of fat, which surprised me. It was a good sized portion too. Now of the the pizza...we ordered Pizza Salumi. Very thin dough, wood fired for the flavor and the crisp. There is a good amount of sauce, which can make the crust floppy, but it's so worth it! The flavor of the sauce is so good. All fresh and top quality ingredients. The soppressata was perfect, taking this pizza to the next the level. It was cut super thin, as it should, and gave the pizza the flavor a margarita is missing. It would be tough not to order this next time. So just as we should have been walking out of the door because we were so full, we had the duck and the wood fired NY strip to split among the three of us. The duck - The duck dish came with the two legs so it was the dark meat with crispy skin. The duck was flavorful, moist, tender, and had some sort of apple based sauce to accompany it. The mashed potatoes were great and the Gorgonzola chunks were a treat, especially while sipping the sangiovese/cab red wine blend that we ordered for the table. The NY Strip was my favorite. The steak was tender and came with the flavor from that wood fired grill. The sauce was so good that I dipped every piece in it, trying to reserve some for the mashed potatoes. I ordered the steak medium rare + and it came out just how I wanted it. We ordered the lemon tart for my mom's birthday dessert. I would skip the dessert next time, but I always skip dessert. My mother loved it...very fresh and vibrant. I would have to say that Bacaro is my favorite RI restaurant, especially for a special night out. It is also a perfect spot to go and grab a snack or two with friends after work with a drink. It is affordable as you want and can find high end alternatives as well. The bottle of wine was $48 and you couldn't have asked for a better pairing with all of the food. We also ordered an after dinner cocktail, called the Call to Italy...very refreshing for a digestive type cocktail.

A lovely woman in the restroom overheard my friend and I unsure on where to venture, and she suggested this place! Moody and welcoming. Absolutely loved it. We went in ~10:45 on a Wednesday pm. Apparently they do live jazz weekly as well, but we'd come too late. A handful of bar patrons, a couple making out in the back of the dining room at their cute table, a lovely bartender, me& my bff. We really hit the jackpot for ambiance last night. Decor in there is so cute. I wish I took a picture of the table lamp on the bar. It was embellished with beads hanging on the rim of the shade. Our drinks were top notch. Mine was a citrus vanilla profile and hers was a savory martini. The sandwich, I had one bite of it was yummy. I don't like imitation lunch meats though. CATFISH was breaded and fried fabulously. Not oily. Crispy and crunchy. So happy to have discovered this place! The bartender told us they just celebrated 6 years of business!
