Borgata's really outdone themselves with the Water Club. As if it couldn't get any better, it did! The first time my boyfriend brought me to the Water Club, I was blown away at their service, immediately upon pulling up to the Valet. Upon entering the hotel, there was someone there to open the door and greet us! Then heading up the escalator to the lobby area, I fell in love with the place. The decor and ambiance sets a nice tranquil, yet hip and trendy tone, a real getaway from wherever it is you're coming from. The rooms are spacious, modern, and comfortable. I always love the oversized beds! My favorite part is the bathroom, with its spa-like quality. I wish I could take the whole room home with me! The Water Club's Immersion spa is fabulous, better than Toccare at the Borgata, in my opinion. After booking a treatment, you also have full use of their Spa floor (pool, hot tub, exercise room) for the rest of the day. I love just laying on a lounge chair overlooking the rest of the marina from the Spa floor. After experiencing the Water Club it's hard to go back to the Borgata. Both are fabulous in their own right, but now i feel spoiled after a couple weekend stays at the Water Club. I have to admit, the Water Club is my new standard of comparing hotels. So far, only Aria in Las Vegas has topped it (because it's newer). I'm glad that Water Club is on the east coast within driving distance from my home! The rooms were nice in this place, contemporary decor and they did give you plenty of pillows so that was fantastic. But the best part of this room was the shower! Yep, now I don't normally get too excited over showers, but when we remodel the bathroom at home it's getting one of these! First, it was HUGE with a nice bench in it! But the rainshower along with the adjustable spray nozzle was fantastic. It had lots of pressure so it was like a massage, so I was looking for an reason to go shower! The rest of the place was nice (except the casino, they certainly didn't share with me!). I don't know that I want to stay there again, but only because of the location. I really like getting up and being able to go for a walk on the boardwalk in the morning. But overall it is a really nice hotel. read more

Ive stayed here a couple times. The first time i payed 3 or 4 hundred for the room. and it was very nice This time the room was free and was much nicer! I was very happy with the room they gave us cause we originally asked for a room at the borgata but they asked if we wanted to stay here instead so sure why not. The elevators are super fast. Room service is excellent. They have a fully stocked mini bar, flat screen tv, robes, and a few other nicer aspects to the rooms then the borgata side. The pool and jacuzzi looked nice especially cause there on the 32 floor and have a view but didn't seem inviting enough to go take a dip. maybe cause it was a cloudy day. Check in at the water club is also much better, you check in here and there is barley a line, you walk out to the casino and you see the borgata check in is like a freaking zoo. with much more rif raf floating around. you get that feeling when your driving down the road laughing at the traffic going in the other direction. Beds are amazingly comfortable. As far as vegas goes. I have only stayed in the basic rooms at the MGM and NewYork NewYork and i was not at all impressed. Borgatas basic rooms beat those hands down and water club is much better then borgata. Next time i go to vegas ill have to stay in nicer hotels. read more

This is about as good as it gets for AC. That's not saying much, but still. We all know it's not Vegas, but it's retarded cousin. That being said, this place does stand out - I didn't hang out in the Borgata much, but this being their boutique offshoot I guess it really is a step above. Roughly about 500 a night, so not Vegas crazy - but steep for AC. Word to the wise - the elevator nazis will check your keycard each and everytime you want to go up to your room, you have a max of 3 per card - and you need an ID for every card you have issued, up to 2 per room. It was only two of us in the room, but if you go with other people you may as well meet up in their room if they're not staying in this hotel - since there's no way they can just 'come up'. read more

Beautiful and modern with the feel of Las Vegas classier hotels. Chose this place to celebrate my 40th birthday with my girlfriends. Upon arriving at the lobby, I was worried they will get back up on checking in since I read previous Yelp reviews. Fortunately, an employee just stepped in to get us all checked in. She did a fabulous job with the key cards and tracked my other friends who booked the rooms. Security is key and I don't mind someone standing near the entrance of the elevators. It makes you feel safer so no rift faft people are going up there. The rooms are modern as I expected it and the sheets and duvet is great to sink into. Bathroom is sleek with the step-in marble shower surrounded by glass. This place is expensive but wish they had deals like the ones in Las Vegas. read more

First of all- I've never been to AC, and was under the impression it was going to be Vegas at the Jersey Shore- not really my scene. But it was a few friends bdays, and we thought it would be a funny experience. First off, the hotel room was GORGEOUS. Super modern, clean, great view amazing showers. The customer service was on point. We called the front desk for a few things, and got prompt service. We initially were afraid they were going to charge for our friends to crash in the room, but the front desk had no problem giving us extra keys and pool guest passes to our friends. Apparently Harrah's only allow keys to those under the reservation, so this was a huge plus. THE POOL WAS AMAZING. I felt like I was in Miami. Cool lounge music, great food and drinks, awesome service. The pool was an "infinity pool", really cool, totally loved the vibe. You would never know you were in the south jersey, not the south of France! The casino itself was bumpin. Packed on a Saturday night, clubs full, music amazing! The crowd was just the perfect amount of funny Jersey people and classy folks- not trashy enough where you felt you were swillin with Snookie and Juice Heads and not so classy where you felt weird being black out at dinner or at the poker table. Had a blast! Will definitely come back again and again and again! We arleady said we're doing the next birthday here. Totally worth the high price tag (our room was $450/night) To splurge, I definitely say Water Club. Room was AMAZING, Borgata rooms are nice, but for the extra dough, get the Water Club, if you bring a lover back to the room at 4AM (which 99.99% will happen), they'll be impressed!! Ahhh... I don't know how I feel about this place. I like but also do not like. First of all, I've never paid a cent for this place, but I know it's ridiculously priced. I feel like this town tries to stick it to you as much as possible. They charge you for everything, pretty soon will charge you for a towel. It is a very nice hotel. 5*. There are many higher end hotels that I've paid less, so not gonna say value, but it's a nice hotel, esp. since i stay here free. Comp or I dont stay here. Rooms are very nice. Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are very clean and modern. Wished I'd used the room more often lol. Like others mentioned, the corner rooms are very nice, but make sure to close the 100' curtain. Sun in the morning is not good for sleeping. Linens and towels are also very nice. Temperature control and ventilation seemed better than other hotel. I still brought my portable humidifiers. The toiletries were also nice. Now, the bad part. Price is ridiculous. Plus, they charge you for everything, internet, pool, gym, box of cookies, chilled can of coke... I do not use any of that, except gym sometimes. I hear spa is really nice, but didn't get a chance to use it yet, no time. I think i did use internet once, i needed faster speed, and it was indeed faster than my iphone hotspot. Not sure if it was worth the $10+ for a day, i think literally i used it for 30min. Next time i should download like 100000gb of movies, get my money's worth :D Also, it's quite a walk to get to this hotel from the parking garage. I hate valet. The idea of someone in MY car is not my idea of luxury. I just need to gamble more so I can have a limo pick me up, NOT. I use a carry-on luggage, and just roll it to the hotel, even if it only has a pants, shirt and couple and a laptop. read more

Best hotel in AC. The suites are classy and comfortable, the view is beautiful, and the lobby is impressive. It's the closest thing to Vegas in AC! The pool area is very nice. It becomes the Sunbar at night and filled with hired vixens to lounge around at night to add to it's atmosphere. It's definitely a nice alternative to your stuffy and crowded nightclubs. The pool and spa areas are serene, and the shopping hall as you enter the lobby adds some nice temptation. The room was as elegant as it was comfortable. Lather products filled the shower, towels were soft, temperature controls are very responsive, and beds were comfortable. The halls lacked any type of soda/water vending machines to quench a sudden early morning thirst, but I'm sure they would rather have you spend more money on room service that way. Several of the check in hosts are too full of themselves. It disgusted me to see them treat certain guests as lower level customers as they were checking in. They are definitely lacking when it comes to customer service. Reminds me of a snotty waiter on TV in an upscale restaurant. read more

Elegance in Atlantic City. I've stayed here a bunch of times and never had a bad experience. The rooms a super modern and clean and the floor to ceiling windows give some really great panoramic views of AC. The common areas of the hotel are really beautiful as well. You also get the convenience of all of the Borgata amenities, casino, and restaurants. While I have no complaints about the rooms, I do have some issues with the hotel policy around the pool. They will not allow you to go to the pool the day you get there until you check, which most times they will not let you check in early. So that means when you check in at 3:00 with the other several hundred people, you all end up making a mad dash for the pool to try to claim a seat. If you are lucky enough to get a seat, you will enjoy maybe one hour of sun. The way the pool is situated, by the time you get to 4:00, the sun is blocked by the hotel itself. As far as the staff goes, the pool staff is great in terms of grabbing chairs from all over to help you when two chairs aren't together, although the waitresses who used to be there to take drink orders seem to have dissappeared as of late. The front desk staff has been hit or miss. Two-thirds of the time they are great, but I have had some people who were just downright nasty and make you feel unwelcome or that being there is a bother to them. For me, when I go down to AC, it's Borgata, Water Club, or nothing at all. read more

If you combined the Water Club's rooms with the Pool at Harrah's and the restaurants and shopping of Caesar's, you'd have the mecca of awesomeness. Anywho! I lovelovelove the water club. Did you try their showers? I can stand there all day.. Anyways, the rooms are spacious and gorgeous. I love their decor.. This hotel has its own valet section and when you get your car they give you those cute little bottle of waters for your trip back home. It is a very short walk to the casino (that hallway though.. It's either a long walk of shame or a short walk of excitement) with some shops in between. The pool is awesome (they have three) but I don't like how its 18+. The Borgata pool is kid friendly but its indoors and the water is freezing.. I wish they can do something about that. Anyways this place is great! read more

From the horrible staff at the check-in desk who continued to tell us that our rooms were still not available at 5:30PM when check-in time is 4PM to our horrible experience at Murmer to the dirty pool towels when we finally arrived in our room, I cant even begin to portray my dissapointment-Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on a mediocre hotel read more

The Water Club is a non-gaming hotel that is connected to the Borgata (which is one of the newer and better AC casino in my opinion) I feel like the water club was built with the wives of high rollers in mind like you can shop at the 5 luxury stores, go to the spa and gorge yourself on room service while I blow the kids college money over in the casino. The lobby interior is beautiful-as are the swimming pools. Our room had an ocean view (which you can see past Trump Marina, and the rest of AC) The interior hip, well appointed clean. Don't pick up anything from the top of the mini bar-a sign informs you that if the items are removed for more than 30 seconds you will be charged ($8 for M+Ms!!!) The towels, robes and bed linens all of high quality and do not have any hint of being tumbled in an industrial washer with chemicals that could kill. (they don't smell like it which does not guarantee anything but I appreciate the effort) All products by L'Occitane-yum. The Water Club boasts a spa called Immersion on the top floor of the hotel. We went to check it out but did not book any appointments-some of the services look amazing and will cost you A LOT. We stayed on a mid-week night which in this economy is key. Only one thing which was not perfection was we could hear our neighbors next to us (just talking mind you)-is the hotel that crowded that we have to be on top of everyone? I insisted we experience room service-it arrives in less than 30 minutes-I ordered the continental breakfast with the expected bakes goods. Egg sandwich for my companion. The bakes goods were a tad sugar shock-hey its a scone does it have to have crystallized sugar all over it? The home fries were a bit salty. The fresh oj was delicious and the chai tea was quite good. As winter trudges on treat yourself right and bring yourself to the water club for a little getaway. read more

I have been to AC 1000+ times but never stayed at the Water Club. Decided to stay their for my brothers birthday. Now, my expecations were above and beyond for this place and some were met but others.... well there was some icky parts. For starters, the room is big but not HUGE. For some reason, i felt like it should have been a little more spacious. The beds LOOK amazing but when we slept in them i felt like i was sleeping in a 1998 mattress, no joke. Everyone woke up the next morning feeling like they got hit by a bus (and no, it wasn't because of the alcohol). The hotel itself is an amazing place, brand new, chic and enticing. The pools are just to die for and literally you can just sit back and relax and almost forget that you are in NJ. Downside: You have to pay $15 to go to the gym. $15 to use their state of the art professional pool. Like, didnt i pay enough already? -Technically, there is no fridge in the room because the tiny one that they DO provide is filled to the rim with their own "coke cans, beers, wine./ etc" and God forbid the sensor goes off, well your paying $23 for a a can of sprite. So we were unable to keep anything cool for the weekend. Upside: Secuirty was very keen on not letting anyone up without a key. Now i feel safe :) LADIES: GO USE THEIR SPA.... Immaculate! Honestly nothing compares to this hotel and all of it's amenities, the restaurant, gym, pool and spa. If you're looking for a pristine hotel and you're not too familiar with Atlantic City I suggest you make your trip worth while and book here. Came to celebrate a birthday with two friends and was blown away yet again. The hotel service in general is very cool, helpful and inviting. The Immersion spa and wellness center goes above and beyond to provide great services. Had a Swedish massage and it was worth every penny. My room had an ocean view and the bathrooms were beautiful/clean. The "Sunroom" bar and restaurant has top notch lunch, breakfast, coffee and drinks. Food and drinks can be ordered in the spa too, don't miss out on the "Maine Lobster BLT." Tips: - Ask if your room can be upgraded upon arrival. - Security is everywhere to help you. - The spa is almost silent, don't be loud. - Ladies, the bathrooms are dimly lit I'd suggest bringing an illuminated mirror for makeup or doing your makeup in the spa. - Review the return policies of the retail stores in the Borgata before buying clothes or shoes. - I've never seen kids here (perfect). read more

The Borgata upgraded me to the Water Club during a recent visit. Largely, I was impressed with the amenities and the view, which was amazing. Even though we were an upgrade, they put us on a high floor with an ocean view, and the fog rolling in was beautifully atmospheric. My only real criticism was the cleanliness of the room. The surface areas were great, sheets and blankets pristine, but when we pulled back the nightstand to find an extra electrical outlet, there was a significant amount of dust and other people's small bits of trash. read more

Had the 2-queen bed room. Upon entering valet, we immediately received good service. We had a cooler of food and goodies and were advised that we might not be able to bring it in. The gentleman helping us suggested a couple ways to get it in. The decor in the lobby was great - nay, baller. As for the rooms, the iPod dock was surprisingly useful. The best part, however was the bathroom. It wasn't outstandingly gorgeous, but it was classy, and not in a classic old-time way. I'd recommend this hotel for any special occasion. We were lucky to be treated to a weekend away by one of my bf's clients. We came with a few other couples; the guys for some tee-time and the girls for some spa-time. The hotel was beautiful and the service was flawless. The Water Club definitely feels a whole world away from the neon chaos that is the Borgata. A few things that make it a little more Vegas than Waikiki: -the shockingly bright teal sheets under the contemporary and classic neutral covers -the weird pleather cushions on the bed -the fact that the mini-bar stocks a "passion kit" -the dudes by the pool wearing neon yellow banana hammocks and wraparound sunglasses (we were indoors) that made the show, Jersey Shore, seem much more realistic Unfortunately, Immersion Spa was fully booked months in advance, so we had to go to Spa Toccare at the Borgata- not that I'm complaining- it was awesome. But all in all, a beautiful and relaxing escape from the city. read more

I was disappointed. Probably let the hype get to me. For being the supposed nicest hotel in AC, it was unimpressive. Not to say it was bad, indeed it was clean, comfortable and above average through and through. But I was expecting more. The shower was a highlight but nickle and dimming for wi-fi (even if an accepted practice elsewhere) wasn't appreciated for a top-tier hotel. I stayed at the new tower at Harrah's the night before and would say that place is 90% as nice at about 1/2 the price. The staff was fine, but not any different than the half a dozen or so other AC hotels I've stayed at. All in all, this place was fine, but I wouldn't pay much of a premium for it. They might have some trouble down the road as Revel opens. read more

This is not one of my favorite places to stay in Atlantic City. I stay here sometimes because my wife likes the rooms. She isn't so happy now that is past 6 PM and no maid service. I must say that the views from the rooms I have been in are good. Short distance from the valet when checking in and out. Easy access to the casino. Now that they cleared out the mini-bar you have access to a refrigerator in the room. The bottom line for me is the hotel is not my reason for staying in Atlantic City. This is just a place to relax, shower and sleep. For that reason the place is okay. read more

I have stayed here numerous times and love it here. This last go around I was disappointed by the additional charges for some of the amenities. Gym fee is $15.00 per day. Also another $15.00 for use of the pool on the 33rd floor. If you book a spa treatment, both amenities are free for only one person. I tried to book a massage and while my husband was going to wait at the pool area for me, I was told that it was $15 for him. So here I am going to spend about $250 for a massage and they wanted to charge my husband $15 to sit in a lounge chair and read a book. Really? I decided not book my massage out of principal. Vegas gyms/spas give you the world for a fee. Valet is quick and easy. Front desk access very convenient from valet. Nice clean rooms. Great towels and robes. Bring water bottles or get them in the gym or casino. No water in room. Make dinner reservations on-line well in advance. They book up quick. read more

I love this hotel! It's probably the nicest one I've stayed at in the northeast. I had stayed a couple times at Revel (now closed) and the regular Borgata. I wanted to try this location because I heard great reviews. The pools are so nice and I thought the room was breathtakingly gorgeous. I felt like I was in LA while staying at this hotel in the summer. You can order food and drinks and lounge in the sun. That, in my opinion, is a perfect day. The irregularly shaped pool near the bar is so nice. There are areas with a lot of sun and areas that the building obstructs the sun. Some love to tan, some don't and the way the pool is set up, it's perfect for both sets. Tip: in summer months, get out there early so that you can get a good lounge chair near the pool. They run out toward the end of the day. read more

We had a non smoking room at Borgata Water club. The room was nice, spacious, clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool on the ground floor wasn't open yet (in May) as they were doing construction but the indoor pool and Jacuzzis were. The pool was well maintained and clean. It was cool because when you walk in you see a smaller shallow pool where there is like a waterfall effect where the water falls down from the back part. The lap pool is long enough to do laps and is surrounded by pool chairs. There are 2 Jacuzzis at the back which were good for about 5-6 people. They had water on the side for you and there was also a bar. The best thing about it was the sky roof which let the natural light in. read more

Stayed at the Water Club for one night. The room was clean and modern and I loved the ceiling to floor windows. The outdoor pool was great. A little hard to find a place to settle down because everyone is out there. The only thing I wasn't too thrilled with was the crowed. Surprised and disappointed. Upon entering our room we discovered that we were not alone. A bug was walking across the bed spread. We caught and eliminated it. As we walked around the bed to capture said intruder we walked over trash on the floor. Now we understand that bugs will happen, but trash on the floor, that is not acceptable. We called the front desk and was told that a supervisor would be right up. Twenty five minutes later, as I picked up the phone to say the supervisor must have gotten lost, there was a knock at the door. Someone, he did not look like a supervisor, handed me new keys and left. He did not even walk into the room. We kept the bug in the tissue to show him, we actually left it on the desk for the next person. We went to the next room. Though no visitor, there was some debris on the floor. A vacuum run over the carpet, even a cursory run would have eliminated the issue. Seems the place is getting a little lax in the house keeping arena. We decided 3 stars was correct. Not terrible, not perfect, definitely not worth $400 plus tax. read more
