I've stayed here a few times and always book it when visiting Ocean City. It's super close to the beach and boardwalk, which is a huge plus. I was looking to book here and chatted with the after hours chat service. I was inquiring about the winter weekend special. According to the website it said the last day was 3.30.24 but when I asked about it they said the sale ended on the 28th. I mentioned the website and they said I would have to call. Then they changed the date on the website to the 28th which makes no sense since that is a Thursday and the deal is to book Friday & Saturday for $129 with a Sunday 6pm check out. The March 30th made sense for the last day to book it but they seemed to give a hard time and changed things around so I wouldn't trust what else they do around their establishment. We did not know what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. Our family was having a large reunion in OC, but we could not all stay at large rental house. You can actually rent these units for one night, and they sleep four very comfortably. We rented two suite units and paid $10 extra for top floor. Both units were nice, one with boardwalk and ocean view. Though place was busy in July, we heard no noise from Suites. Yes, they give you the beach badges if you arrive before you get in room. And parking pass. So close to boardwalk and some nice shops on Asbury Avenue, including very good Ocean City Coffee Company. Personal history: in college I worked at Watson's Family Restaurant on this same site, a large colonial style house with several large dining spaces including an enclosed porch. You had to pass a test showing you could carry by arm (no trays) dinner for four! I passed and made a ton of money. So good vibes for me at Watson's even in its rebuilt form (though current structure is not so charming as old restaurant was). Would stay here again. At high season about $400, a good value for what you get in terms of space, location, and ability to stay one night or more. read more

Thanks to my girlfriend who loves luxury, I finally checked out Watson's. I've been visiting & loving Ocean City since childhood and always had overlooked this seemingly out of place little hotel. (We were the 'Sifting Sands' family!). The hotel itself is deceiving from the outside! It boasts really nice sized (and layout) suites plus an indoor heated pool (the only one in O.C.) and a hot tub. The room decor is a bit outdated but overall - spacious, very clean, a kicking heat and a/c system, a great shower, lots of towels, etc. We enjoyed our cute balcony as well. Having a full kitchen (and cabinets and drawers stocked with plates, bowls, silverware, etc) is awesome! The bedroom linen closet has extra pillows and blankets too. We used those for the pull out sofa for the kiddies. Even though continental breakfasts usually stink, one here w/b appreciated just to tide you over before hitting the boards and beach. Watson's surprisingly doesn't have one. Despite SOME cons, we all overall loved Watson's and will go there again, $ pending! read more

We stayed for one night preseason and during some pesky rain storms. The indoor pool was useful in keeping the children occupied and allowed for substantial energy drain. Adults will enjoy the pool too, or at the very least can simmer in the hot tub with the jets blasting. We liked our room and were happy that it was on the second floor( pool level) and that our balcony was facing outside and not inside facing the pool. The kitchenette was perfect for those staying longer and even had a dish washer. Parents will appreciate the separate( and lockable) bedroom, and the foldout bed and large couch in the living room should be adequate for the younguns. The bathroom was updated and water pressure was good. With its proximity to the boardwalk this is a good choice for visitors. It seems to be one of the more upscale buildings, though I admit to being new to this town. As can be expected, the in season rates are not cheap. But if you can catch a good weather off season stay, rates seem very reasonable. Our tip: their website says that 2 night stays are required off season, but if you call you can book one night. We look forward to returning again in the early fall. read more

This is probably our favorite place to stay in Ocean City except for actually renting a house. The rooms are clean and pretty well kept. They could use some updating but overall they are nice to stay in. They have an indoor pool and hot tub. It is well maintained but the hot tub was on the luke warm side rather than hot. They are definitely not a 5 star place to stay and I would have given them 4 stars had they had an efficient billing system and willing to honor the AAA discount rather than telling us it is cheaper to call and not use their own website; "because we have to pay for the website". Also upon checkout, they were going to bill us twice for one night. That is another reason for only 3 stars. The person at the checkout desk was not helpful and not willing to work with us. read more

Hands down the best hotel in Ocean City, Md. Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in, each room is furnished different but the family rooms, include a full kitchen, dinning area, living area with two pull out sofas, large bedroom with a queen size bed, and a balcony. Good Evening to all and I want to note how nice Watson's Suites is to stay. Especially considering the other Hotels are. The front desk personnel do a good job. In the past I stayed in Unit # 310 and it was great including to beds and couch. Well Saturday this unit was not available and so we stay very close to Unit. Upon entering we thought as was good. And it was until we sat on the couch and later going to bed. The couch and bed needs to be reloaded ASAP. We could not watch TV and far worse could not sleep. read more

A good spot for families in OCNJ. Pros: For starters, you have the units themselves. A separate bedroom, plus a spacious bath and living room/dining room/kitchen make spending time "together" much easier. The indoor pool is a huge plus on rainy days when there isn't much else to do in Ocean City. The location can't be beat. One block from the heart of the boardwalk, and also super-close to the downtown area. Cons: The place can get noisy. It is filled with kids, after all. A middle-of-the-night screaming fit is likely to be heard in all four directions. And little feet running around carry through the floors and ceilings quite loudly. The decor/upkeep is a bit dated. Our place had peeling caulk, broken tiles and some stains on the floor. Nothing too bad. And in wintertime - the pool can be too cold to enjoy. Overall, a good place to stay in OCNJ. read more

Clean and tidy, but dated decor. The patio outside our room wasn't clean, the coffee pot had a retro-fitted lid that was sideways. The "coffee condiments" were sorely lacking; some were hard. The screen door outside the bedroom had holes patched with Ill-fitted pieces and glue that had run down the screen and hardened. One shade in the LR was broken and couldn't be opened. The swimming pool water was green and no filter was running. Good location. Complimentary parking for one car. read more

Always the best. Have been going every year since 2012 and always a great trip. Very great location, only a few blocks from the beach, and a very welcoming and upbeat atmosphere. Feels like a second home, and they have a pool and hot tub that are usually not too crowded (the hot tub has optional bubbles and jets). Such a cozy place, and the rooms are fully furnished, and have a kitchenette that is big enough to cook full meals. The only things I have to complain about is the water pressure of the shower heads and the WiFi (which is flaming hot garbage), but other than that, this place is astonishing and really is the best vacation spot that I have ever been to. read more

I really like this place. We only stayed for one night but the suite is clean, updated and spacious enough for a family of 4 without breaking the bank. It's got a full kitchen with full sized fridge and dishwasher. The kids slept on the pullout sofas so we had our own room. Also the weather was dreary so having an indoor pool right outside the room was super convenient. Added bonus the lobby smells nice when you walk in and the pool towels did as well. read more

1 star from someone who didn't even STAY at the hotel? That's not very fair. Charging for cancellation is basic hotel practice. Anyway.. My fiancé, my son and I drove down OC on a whim for the day, and decided to stay for the night as we were pulling into town. I googled hotels, Watson Regency popped up, and as I looked up to mention it, it was directly in front of us. We pulled in, got an amazing parking spot, walked in, got a suite w/ beach view balcony for $150. The room was, of course, a little dated, but super cozy, clean and absolutely perfect. Full kitchen, 2 pull out beds in the LR, flats screens w/ DVD player in both the LR and master BR. oh... And free wifi. We're so glad we found this place! read more

The worst service. It is impossible to cancel with less than 7 days notice. If you cancel 6 days and 23 hours before your reservation, you will be charged a full day's rate. Be very careful when you make a reservation and make sure you will go. They were totally inflexible and uncompromising. read more

Suite is spacious but claustrophobic because the "outside" balcony overlooks the indoor pool's hallway (which, by the way, can get loud during the day). With no other windows it makes for a dark, dingy space. Our room (302) is privately owned and not well kept. It is dated (late 80s?) with dirty walls and peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. The bed was quite possibly the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on....for the high price we were underwhelmed. We stayed here twice before in the late 80s/early 90s (different rooms) and it seems like we are in a time capsule from those years. We realize this is the owners' dream property, only two blocks from the boardwalk, but we'd rather stay at one of the cheaper motels than do this again.... It's really disappointing. read more

Stayed there two night in later September. The place had lots of space, since it was a suite. The front desk folks were very nice. There were bunch of people also staying there, but we never heard them and we were on the second floor. The pool had the blue water that you could swim in and the pool area was very nice. Liked the free (a least I think it was, since no one said it was not) local paper every morning, which was a nice touch. It was located near plenty of place to eat and shop. I was also a short walk to get to the beach and boardwalk. read more

Watson's was a great place to stay and I will be returning in May and I really can't want. We stayed here overnight on a last minute beach trip and are so glad that we did!! We were traveling with a toddler and the suite gave us so much space to spread out out stuff and not feel cramped. Fully stocked kitchen, suite was very clean, and quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We got to check in early and park our car and pick up beach tags when we got there. Indoor pool was great to use after coming in from the beach, and our little one loved it! We were the only ones in the pool when we went late afternoon. Location is great, easy walk onto the beach with our stuff. We will definitely be coming back!! read more

Great place to stay in OC; really good rates, and one of the very few hotels in all of OC that offers one-bedroom rooms, so you can put the kids to bed before you. The pool is a nice perk, as are the free beach tags. We have kept coming back for years. Staff is super nice and accommodating when they can be--we've had friends come and visit, and if the place isn't full, they always give us an extra parking pass. read more

First and foremost, I feel you can't beat the location and convenience for the price with Watson's Regency. It was steps away from everything we could need or want. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. The pool was something nice to do on a cloudy day. We enjoyed our stay as it fit our needs with a 15 mo away from home for the first time. The bathroom and kitchen in our unit were recently updated and that was lovely. The bed was pretty comfortable with a mattress pad. We made sure to stay top floor to limit noise and it worked. We also stayed in a back corner unit by luck and had great views off the balcony we spent a lot of time on once we put the baby down. The unit was stocked with everything we needed. On the con side- The living and dining room furniture really could use the updating next...it was worn considerably enough to detract from the overall look of the unit. The sheets were SO scratchy and uncomfortable. However, the entire place is extremely clean and I'll take worn over dirty any day! We would definitely consider returning. read more

Made reservation one month in advance (June 2016) for weekend before Labor Day(2016) Was promised early ck in & didn't get it. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude & unwelcoming. It was the same woman whom we made our reservation with... (Won't mention her name) My family had to think twice if we really wanted to give business to such rude people. But since they had an indoor pool, we went there. The sliding doors (pool level 2nd floor) were broken, they did not lock. We were nervous that our 4 year old could just walk out,so we moved the couch in front of the sliding doors for safety. When we finally got settled in, we found out that the pool was going to be closed for an hour or two. Really??? At $365 per night !!!!! We spoke to the hotel manager about our ck in situation & other minor issues, and he was just as rude as the front desk lady! From checking in to the room everything was wonderful. The front desk staff were so helpful in getting what we needed or answering our questions.
