    Quesadilla Birria

A new top tier Mexican place is in town called Mi Cabana! Aesthetically pleasing from the second you walk in with colorful decor of the so beloved eccentric vibe of Dia De Los Muertos. The service was an instant disappointment and continued through the beginning of our visit. Getting noticed upon entry was hard, and once we had a seat, we stared at one another and waited for someone, anyone, to collect our drink and appetizer order for more than 15 minutes. Our hunger kept up from leaving. Once we had a server, then we had a second, then a third until finally; the gentleman that would take care of us from then on out. Little communication between the team until we had our orders in. From there we were attended to beautifully and flawlessly! The food was out of this world!! Like. Truly! The chips and queso were fresh and hot! Nothing not to love. Our drinks were cold, frozen, sweet and beautifully presented. Absolutely wonderful drinks. The octopus ceviche was huge! Tons of perfectly cooked octopus (hard to achieve) lots of ripe avocado, raw veggies, fresh orange and that tangy tajin seasoning!! All our entrees were large portions and again, cooked to perfection! The lamb was fall off the bone with a finger licking good sauce, tomato salsa and plump rice. The quesadilla Birria was cheesy and juicy with a fabulously rich consume. The steak and chicken combo was equally perfected. Seasoned tender meats that had just enough spices. We finished with a fried ice cream. The kind with corn flakes that makes we wish you had a bigger stomach so you could order seconds! (We opted out of the Hersey's syrup it typically comes with, as neither of us like the taste of that particular chocolate syrup. We are so glad we asked what was used before we ordered) This place is a gem! We live in a sea of mediocre Mexican restaurants in Brevard county. This one is anything BUT and possibly the best Mexican food I've ever had in this state. Maybe ever!

First time dining here a few nights ago. Very clean with prompt service of chip/salsa and drinks. Salsa was a bit spicy compared to other local restaurants. Fine for me, but my husband prefers something a little milder. The menu had a wide variety of options, but not too much to be overwhelming. There is something for everyone. Food arrived quickly and was very hot. We will definitely put this spot on our rotation and eat here again!

Soooo delicious, 3rd time there and every meal is as great as the last! Extremely friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is also nice. The establishment is clean and offers enough table space for larger parties. The cocktails are generous and are served in pretty glasses, all in all, IMO they are wayyyyy better than the competition!

Wow so excited for a NEW Mexican restaurant in this town! The table side guacamole was perfect!! Some of the best I ever had! Fresh brewed Iced Tea daily which I always appreciate! The food excellent! Tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and burritos were ordered by my family and no one had a bad meal! Prices were comparable to other restaurants in the area but there are higher charges for extras like sour cream (2$) which I believe is a bit expensive. Overall the atmosphere is clean, well decorated and comfortable. The service is outstanding. Accessible restrooms and although the walkways are fairly narrow, mobility devices should be able to navigate this space. Thanks for a great lunch! We will return SOON!!

The restaurant was tucked in an area I wouldn't expect one to be in. Parking lot is a little on the smaller side, but not difficult if you turn in and go behind the Walgreens. The atmosphere inside was cute! It felt like a fun place as soon as you sat down. There seemed to be seating to the left and right, we were seated to the right in a booth near a bar. It does seem like a smaller restaurant but smaller doesn't mean bad! Fun music was playing but not to loud that you can't hear your friend at the table. The service was great, people always checking on you. The menu seemed full with many options. I only removed a star because it seemed for some options they were a little pricey, but I did enjoy the food. The veggies seemed more seasoned than the meat, which I wish was the opposite, but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal as did my boyfriend. We celebrated a promotion for him and I think this was a good choice.

We started with the chips and salsa, which were fresh and crispy, followed by the queso and guacamole. The queso was good--pretty much your classic cheese dip--but the guacamole was fresh, creamy and absolutely delicious. Of course, we also had to try the margaritas, and now I understand why this place is known for them. Fantastic. Fruity, flavorful, beautifully presented and dangerously easy to drink. Then came my favorite thing of the entire meal: the birria ramen. The noodles had that perfect bouncy chew, the egg was cooked beautifully, and the broth somehow found the sweet spot between traditional ramen and rich Mexican birria. It didn't taste like someone simply dumped birria into a bowl of noodles and called it fusion--it actually worked. The chicken mole enchiladas were enjoyable, but didn't execute that traditional flavor coming across a bit bland and lackluster. I also assumed there would be cheese inside with the chicken, and there wasn't. That's on me! Next time I'm asking for cheese because I think that would've made a huge difference. And finally, the molcajete arrived. Loaded with grilled meats, seafood, vegetables and fresh cactus, it was extraordinary. So many different flavors and textures packed into one dish, and the cactus was especially good. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Service was good, everything was clean, though the restaurant has a somewhat bland yet modern atmosphere.

Let me tell you this was the best Mexican I have had since I moved from California where the best Mexican food exists besides Mexico. I had the ahi tuna ceviche. Best ceviche I have ever had and I have had ceviche through out the world. Best, hands down. The flavors coming out of this dish had me talking about them for the last 4 hours. Phenomenal. My family had various dishes, chicken quesadilla, a chicken mole, a burrito, a taco, and a veggie dish. All reported better than a typical place. They had some really interesting things on the menu, so can't wait to get back there. Service was great and there were a ton of people there. Food presented well and tasted fresh. Chips and chipotle dipping salsa were excellent too. Bathrooms and dining room were spotless and for a place that has chips, that is a difficult feat. Well done! This is a must try. Let me know what you think!

While it was strong, it was still tasty and it came along with mini Reposado bottle where you dump the contents into your drink. If you like strong drinks like me, I recommend this one. My MIL and hubby had a margarita and I don't remember what it was called but man was it a HUGE margarita! You definitely need to pace yourself with this one. I definitely want come back for happy hour! For our entree, I ordered the Enchiladas Guadalajara. It was delicious. I'm such an enchilada girl and this one landed in my top 3. It comes with 3 shredded chicken enchiladas topped with queso fresco and sour cream. Soooo yummy. It comes with a side of yellow rice and salad. I want to try different items on the menu next time but this one was a good first choice. Overall, the vibe inside the restaurant, cleanliness, and staff attention exceeded expectations. Thanks Agave D'Oro!

That kind of effortless service can really make a dining experience stand out. Our server was nice, but not super accommodating nor very experienced. The food, sub par. The price, outrageous because the portions were so tiny barely filling up the plate. Normally my toddlers can share a meal, but today they had like 15 fries to split and I'm not joking. I asked if I could have little more to perhaps fill up the plate and he told me they'd charge me extra!! I asked before I ordered my burrito if it came with sour cream and guac, he said yes. Then it comes out with nothing (simple mix up I guess) then he says they'd have to charge me to add it. We got margaritas and they were disgusting. The tequila was bottom shelf (as expected) but it was so overwhelming. Someone teach them how to make a drink please. I had one sip and asked if I could get a sangria instead and he said he couldn't swap it or take it off the ticket so I'd just have to pay for both drinks. I've literally never heard of a restaurant refusing to take it off the bill for a drink I didn't even drink.. I was really disappointed. It takes me a lot for me to write a review, I have to love it or hate it. This experience was awful. Our poor server should get some new training and a new job.
