I need to be honest--we came here expecting to really enjoy it because of all the positive reviews, but unfortunately, we left pretty disappointed. The photos online don't fully represent what the place actually looks like. The restrooms were in very poor condition, to the point that I didn't even feel comfortable going inside. When we first walked in, there was no greeting or direction from staff, and it wasn't clear whether we were supposed to seat ourselves or order first. Another frustration was that there were no prices listed on the menu. It's difficult to order when you have no idea what you're spending or how much the drinks cost. I ordered a large Americano, which only came with two shots of espresso. For that size, I would have expected three or even four shots. The coffee wasn't very strong, and instead of fresh half-and-half, they only offered the small packaged creamers. My parents ordered the Number 3 and requested it on a plate. The eggs were overcooked, the beans lacked flavor, and the potatoes were not crispy at all. We also found it odd that it wasn't served with bread or even a tortilla. I ordered the Number 1 as a torta, and I would say that was probably the best thing we had. The chorizo was flavorful, and overall I'd give the torta a 7 out of 10. Unfortunately, the atmosphere and overall food quality did not meet our expectations. Based on our experience, we won't be returning. read more

This was a cute and highly organized spot to get hot food and coffee. I absolutely LOVE chilaquiles. I decided to try this place due to the pictures and reviews. The staff is very nice and I got my food, to go, very quickly. I loved the fact they had more than sauce to choose from. I chose red and verde as they told me the poblano can be spicy, and other times not. Depends on the poblano. Next time I am going to try the poblano sauce and eat there. Not wise to take chilaquiles to go. Had I ate there I would've had more of a crunch. But, that's on me not them. Will definitely come back! My second visit here, first time was back in 2024 according to my photos. I've gotta be honest, I was a little iffy about going back today because I don't remember caring for it much the first time I went... hence that being 2 years ago. But-- bf saw a tiktok on it and wanted to try it sooo... why not? Every place deserves a second chance at least, right? First visit, I don't remember which Chilaquiles plate I got nor do I remember which drink, but, I feel like my first instinct would've been the Horchata Latte (like I ordered today) or the Churro one, which is probably a good chance. Again, I don't remember raving about the food or the drink back then, but-- I can say I know I didn't not like it, it just didn't wow me enough to come back. Today, we ordered the Chilaquiles Verdes and the Torta with Chorizo to share. He got a coke and I got that Horchata Latte. First sip of that Latte was delicious, coffee flavor was there, no Horchata really.... until a few sips down the line and it was nothing but Horchata lol sooo-- we must've done a horrible job at stirring the drink and sipped up all the coffee portion. The drink was really good today though, regardless. As for the Chilaquiles... in his words, "fire". I can't say it's the best I've ever had but it was good, satisfied us for sure. The Torta was actually pretty good as well. I have a thing about pickled Jalapeños though... i don't care for them. I'll eat them but i prefer fresh jalapeños... he didn't mind it. He said the pickled peppers reminded him of how they make it in Mexico. Overall, we enjoyed it. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was well kept, and the food was good. If this was his yelp, I'm sure he'd probably shoot them the 5 stars from today's visit. I did really enjoy it today but I'm not 100% sold... I really enjoyed Mi Cafecito. It was a place I've wanted to try for quite some time because as a Mexican woman, my roots run deep with some Chilaquiles and Cafecito. I invited my daughter to come along because she literally likes everything I like and we SHARE everything so it's the best of both worlds. She wanted both red and green chilaquiles so we each got one and then traded half way through. That's probably the best way to do thanks honestly with anyone who is indecisive ::cough cough:: (looks in mirror). We loved our ice coffees as well. My memory isn't the best but I'm sure I got Dulce De Leche. It's entitled on my pics, check them out. Location and parking can be rough so plan ahead. Prices weren't bad. For years I have searched for the best chilaquiles in Fresno and surrounding areas. How it took me so long to find this place I'll never understand. I just discovered this place a couple of weeks ago and have been back 3 additional times with it being just as amazing as the first. The staff is incredibly friendly to everyone that comes in. I've never seen a place with such a variety of options for chilaquiles and am working my way down the list. I can easily say not a single flavor is anything short of delicious. We parked in the dirt field out front and walked over. There was a line out the door, but it moved quickly. We ordered chilaquiles (not on the menu) I asked for half red and half green with asada, and we also got a half chipotle, half green version. They were happy to accommodate our requests! I tried the Mexican mocha, which was delicious and not overly sweet. It came with a tiny pan dulce on top; such a nice touch! The building and interior could use a little work, but that's part of its charm. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and the patio was beautiful. The chilaquiles were hands down the best in Fresno. I honestly felt like I was back in Mexico, eating in my grandma's kitchen. Visited Mi Cafecito today and the food was BOMB. So amazing. I got the mole chilaquiles with beans on the side and added chicken. The flavor was sooo tasty. It was spicy and sweet. The chips were crunchy, the beans were great, eggs were seasoned. Amazing! I would come back again. The patio was nice, we were able to to sit outside. The woman taking the orders was very nice too. The only critique that I have is that the amount of protein and food that they give you is not much. I feel there were more eggs and beans than chilaquiles. I recall eating maybe 4 small pieces of shredded chicken. For the price of $20 with the up charge of adding protein though they would add a good amount. They are a bit skimpy but the food is great. Overall I would've appreciated a little bit more chilaquiles and definitely the protein since I paid for it. I would recommend this place. read more

I had such a great experience at Mi Cafesito Van Ness! The workers were incredibly friendly and generous, making the the visit even more enjoyable. I loved the fun (4 question) quiz to help pick out a drink - I ended up with the Puppy Love, and it was absolutely delicious. One of the thing that stood out during my visit here was that there was a message on each drink. The cafe just opened last December and has quickly been my go to whenever Im in the area! After coming here a few times and trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt. There's no room for accommodation. The guy taking orders most of the time is confused and doesn't know whether they even have what's on their menu. Went in at 12pm and tried to order A La Mexicana and the guy took my order but then was told by another employee next to him that they were out of it? Didn't specify what exactly they were out of, just of La Mexicana as a whole which is just scrambled eggs with mixed toppings? The previous times i've gone, I even tried to ask for some Serrano Peppers added on or on the side but was told that La Mexicana is a premade base and everything else is topped on. It's very confusing, is the food premade or freshly made? Were they out of eggs specifically or just the toppings? Was very confusing due to the majority of their dishes are made with eggs and it was still pretty early in the day and there were zero customers. I had been wanting to try their breakfast for so long! They having outdoor and indoor seating. The staff was nice. It's wasn't loud inside, it was calm. Outside you'll hear cars, but it was pleasant eating outside. Our coffee was brought out quickly and a few minutes later our food too! I really liked my Mexican mocha! My boyfriend ordered the horchata latte, but it didn't taste much like horchata. We were very excited to try it too. For food we ordered chilaquiles. I love a restaurant with an aesthetic. I have never been and hope to stop by one day as it is only 5 blocks from my house. However, I was so tired from holiday things, my husband went and got us coffee and breakfast before he left for work. I love a good hot coffee and asked my husband to bring me a hot churro latte. Hot Churro Latte- So cute with the mini conchas because if you like sweets to dip with coffee like I do, you would love this,, would be even cuter with a mini churro! Lol. I remember my days of frying churros at Taco Bell and rolling it in cinnamon sugar and that's what this coffee smells like to me. And this coffee tasted exactly like a churro. 5/5 Torta- I heard their chilaqules were delicious, but their torta also looked delicious so my husband and I got the Chorizo Torta and it was absolutely yummy. I'm a spicy girl, but currently can't eat it due to my health and even though this torta had a chile, it was not too spicy. The chorizo was cooked perfectly with the eggs, avocado was nice and soft. A lovely family owned and operated restaurant that provides friendly service and food reminiscent of a home cooked meal. My husband and I went for the first time last Wednesday and ordered the chorizo torta and chilaquiles rojos. Both dishes were tasty but also lukewarm/cold in temperature which subtracted from the overall flavor. The chilaquiles were SPICY! Thankfully I can handle a spicy heat level but I wonder if I was accidentally served the 4 chiles chilaquiles. If you are cautious with the heat level, then you should definitely clarify with staff before ordering. Overall ambiance was homey with some room for improvement. Some of the curtains were hung inside out with tags showing and the interior side of the front door had several scuff marks that a simple paint job could fix. We didn't try their drinks as it was a bit late for caffeine but we have tried their drinks at their Manchester location and loved them. I came in for the coffee! Thoght it was cute and lil pastry at the top! To find out they don't do that at the moment, since the vendor has not come though! Then decided to try chilaquiles and they had ran out of green salsa, but the owner was sonsweet to make the green salsa fresh at the moment! They where so nice and friendly. The chilaquiles where good i just don't like they don't give a carne asada on the side. They give you little pieces of chopped asada! Not the traditional chilaquiles. They don't add onions you have to ask for them. I ordered rompope latte and was not strong for me enough! Food and coffee is good. I usually order the mole chilaquiles but I like my mole spicy not sweet so I order a side of the 4chiles salsa to top them off. Only issue is they need to update their hours. I've driven down twice from Madera and they weren't open at 8:30. I stopped by this local spot for an iced coffee, it's an older property converted to a coffee shop and seems like a good place to get work done. Little covered porch patio and spacious interior. I ordered a small iced Duvalin latte, I added almond milk and asked for it to be less sweet, which they were happy to accommodate. My drink was huge the size of a large at most places I paid around $8 so it's not on the inexpensive side but it was pretty good! I'd go back to try their chilaquiles I just didn't have much time and I'd likely split my coffee in the future. I did appreciate that it was tasty but not overly sweet!
