The music was so loud I could not have a conversation with my partner. To make matters worse, there was a small vacuum being used. They had only been open for 40 minutes! Could the cleaning have been done BEFORE you opened as not to disturb your guests? Please as managers, sit at a booth with this going on and see if you need to adjust the music and stop vacuuming during open hours. Get a broom. Too much. Slow service despite being almost the only ones in the restaurant. The stuffed chilies were.... greasy, their (red) sauce bland. Blah. We understand food costs are rising, but here, the quality is going down. I shrug. Lots of competition around town. The upsides are that it's clean, nice restrooms, and very polite. Downsides are slower service, and no flair. We don't drink alcohol, and didn't sample their drinks. Maybe those are good. We'll never know or care.

We got an Abuela hot chocolate and the Mayan hot chocolate both are rich and creamy. Both are fantastic, and the subtle spice on the Mayan version ads a flavor kick that will make you wish you had this version before. When we were there they had Christmas gift bags with the Mayan hot chocolate mix. The owner were there and were very friendly and answered our questions drink questions, looks like a fantastic menu, and they have beer on tap too.

I visited twice for a breakfast and a lunch. Lunch: I had a Black Russian sandwich and a pot of Emperor's Pride tea. The sandwich, which is a vegetarian version of a Reuben with roasted veggies instead of meat, was delicious. They really piled on the veggies. Some fell out of the sandwich, but I just ate them with the home fries. The home fries also were nicely seasoned. The tea was a little off. It's possible it was the tea itself that didn't taste how I expected, but it kind of tasted like I was getting the flavour of a different tea in the pot. Breakfast: Apple pancake and bouquet latte (seasonal special - lavender Ceylon tea latte with honey and rose syrup). The bouquet latte was wonderful and had this beautiful red swirl latte art. The pancake was nice and fluffy. One pancake is something like $5, but one is enough for a complete meal, maybe with a protein side if you're especially hungry. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. The food didn't take very long even though they seemed busy.
