The place is decorated and the ac was on and it was really cute! The service was great, we got to be seated right away and the waitress was patient and nice. We had the baby with us so he got to look at the lizards on the wall and the paintings. We placed our order and it got to us pretty quickly. It smelled so good and everyone enjoyed their food. We had no complaints of anything being wrong and we didn't have to send anything back! I wish the waitress checked in on us a little more cause we did need a couple extra things and had to wait for her to pop up and flag her down but I know she had other tables to tend to as well so I don't want to dox her for that. She did really well, was super helpful and confirmed everything twice so she did amazing! I highly recommend this place especially since I know they have the police dispatchers as regulars for lunch time everyday! It was a great place to meet for our group of 5 and everyone was happy so thank you to the staff for an amazing time and the cooks for great food!

I was at Country Boy in Georgetown, and it was cold outside. Maybe a text message system or something like that when the orders are ready would be ideal. Instead, I waited in the cold while the rest of the party was inside having a grand ole' time.

I came with a big group so was able to observe a number of the meals and although what I ordered was (hopefully, since I didn't like it) not what they do best (I ordered the green chile pork), I would say the taco flight did at least look like good quality street tacos. I wish I'd ordered some of those because the green chile pork was very mediocre, and the rice and beans it came with were downright terrible. I've had green chile pork in the Southwest that was downright fabulous but this didn't taste like it was stewed in the chile very long, and the chunks were so big that even if it was it couldn't permeate. And, their green chile just wasn't that great. I took home leftovers but never ended up eating them. My husband's margarita was good and he enjoyed his taquitos well enough. Another friend had fajitas that looked to me to be ok but not best of show. I will admit I'm very picky about Mexican food; whether it's Tex-Mex, "real" Mex, Cali Mex or New Mex, I can appreciate all of those varieties but they have to be done well. Sadly, it's easier to not do them well. But my rule of thumb is, if I can do better at home, it's not worth going out for. And I absolutely could do better at home than I had here. Prices weren't bad, service was good, there was parking and plenty of seating and lots of neat murals inside the restaurant but the food sadly did not really impress me.
