I have been to this restaurant several times and I think I am giving up on it. Today I went there and ordered the combo with enchilada, burrito and taco. I asked for beef, assuming it would be the shredded. The meat on it was very finely ground hamburger; very watery and not at all seasoned. I told the server I didn't understand that it would not be shredded and he shrugged and said the menu really doesn't say that it wouldn't be shredded, agreeing with me, but maybe I could say something as I paid. He didn't offer to get me anything else. Also the cheese there is just weird; It's very light but i don't think it's mozzarella. I'm not sure what it is, but it's not very good. There was nothing else in the burrito or in the enchilada; just beef. On the positive side, I did tell the cashier and he did take about five dollars off my bill. I just don't think I will be back. I've been there four times or so with my sister and i've just never had anything good. read more

Can't rate the food, because we never got the chance to eat any on what would have been my first visit. If I could rate the experience negative stars I would. Never have I had the type of experience I did today a Mi Cosita. My friend who sells jewelry and I were hosting a gathering of women/jewelry party and for a variety of reasons chose Mi Cosita as the place to hold the event. My friend confirmed with them that we'd have a space available today to gather and they assured her they'd be all ready for us when we arrived half hour before the event was scheduled to start in order to set up. When we got there today, we were told that they had no idea we were coming, and our group was too small for their private room and they only had 4 servers so no one could wait on us in there. Instead they offered us a long table. Not ideal, but we'd have been fine with it if that had been the only issue. When we started setting up (which they had agreed to the day before) we were told we couldn't display the jewelry for our group because the owner didn't like it, and that they had had groups like us before that came in and only had water and chips and salsa. We assured the manager that we had every intention of ordering both meals and cocktails, however he said no dice. He went on to say that he'd get in trouble with the owner if he let us stay and have our event and essentially asked us to leave because our group wasn't even large enough for the 4 tables of 4 we had pushed together for 12 ppl and jewelry. He claimed that they were going to get busy within the next hour and a half and would need the space...the restaurant was maybe 1/3 full at the time and servers we're doing side work like rolling silverware because the restaurant was slow. We asked to speak to the owner, he wasn't there. I can honestly say, I've never been told I wasn't welcome in any establishment. Additionally, I have approximately 10yrs experience as a food service manager, and had I ever treated a guest in any of my restaurants the way my friends and I were treated today, I'd have lost my job. What a colossal disappointment. Thankfully, my group was flexible and Pepe's graciously took us in when we called and explained what had happened. They also gave us the great food and service we had originally hoped for when we arranged to hold our event at Mi Cosita. read more

Oh my goodness! I can't say enough great things about this restaurant and their delicious AUTHENTIC Mexican food! Restaurant was very clean. Health Dept. score of 100%! Service was courteous and got my order exactly as I had requested! I ordered the Nachos Supreme and it was the BEST that I have eaten anywhere in the U.S.A.!!! All of the ingredients were very fresh and tasted absolutely delicious! Tortilla chips are freshly made, as well as their Salsa and Pico De Gallo! The food was not at all too spicy because I requested the Jalapeños, Pico de Gallo, and Salsa on the side; that way I could eat it plain or make it as spicy as I wanted. You can definitely taste the difference between this Mexican restaurant and many others that I've tried! I will DEFINITELY be returning there with friends and family to EAT many other AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOODS! This restaurant is located across the street from the Georgetown Hospital in a shopping center with plenty of parking space in Georgetown, Ky. I'm very fond of Mexican food and Mi Casita is one of the better Mexican restaurants in Central Kentucky. We have family in Georgetown so Mi Casita is our standard family dinner meeting place. The restaurant is very spacious. The staff is always friendly. The food is always good. This is a good, afford place to take a family or kids to dinner. read more

As far as Mexican food goes it's not bad. But I have a huge issue with the way Mexican food is made here anyway. Not a fan of the queso they use or of the meat sauce.. but they're cocktails are freakin amazing and they make decent micheladas read more

First off.. The owners turn the lights off (to save on the electric bill?) You can't even see the menu, I had to use my cell phone just to look at the menu. The food wasnt anything good. I'm starting to wonder if its possible to find a decent Mexican restaurant near Georgetown. read more

I've lived in Georgetown for almost 10 years. My family loves MiCasita. It is consistently delicious and the staff is Efficient and friendly. I always get the chicken fajitas and my husband gets the chicken chimichanga. It is hard to go other places and risk being disappointed when I know we will be happy at MiCasita. read more

It may not be the most authentic Mexican restaurant in Georgetown, but it is certainly the best. Top quality food and service.

This is a regular go-to spot for us. Rare is the day when something from Mi Casita doesn't sound good. My fave - the fajitas Del Mar, all seafood and I have more than enough for lunch the next day or two. Come before 7:00 for happy hour margaritas! read more

We will never eat here again. My family of four came in on a Sunday afternoon, and business was slow. We were seated on the back wall, while every other diner was seated up front. The waitress took our drink orders as soon as we sat down. The sweet tea was disgusting. It had been sitting, evidently, and was murky; it looked like it had milk in it. When she came back, I asked her to trade it for a water and she didn't even ask why, just turned to go. After waiting an appropriate amount of time, she took our food order. That was the last time we saw that waitress. Our food came out on time, or at least part of it did. My husband and youngest son got their food and me and my other son waited. And waited. Finally they brought mine but not his. When they sat my plate down, he said to watch out because it was hot. My hand grazed the plate and it was so hot, it nearly blistered. I pushed my young son as far away in the booth as I could because I was afraid he would touch it, and then I sat there, scared to eat for fear of being burned. My other son was still waiting. He waited another 5 minutes for his crappy little microwave pizza and fries. The time between when my husband was served and our son was served was over 15 minutes, and I was irate by then. I looked for someone to speak with and saw no one. When they finally brought his food, I asked to speak to a manager. From what I was told, the manager was on break. My food was terrible, by the way. The chile relleno had more batter than anything else, way more than it should. The enchilada had a tortilla that was like a chewy sponge. The beans have no flavor. When another waitress walked by, I asked her if she was the manager and she said no, that the manager doesn't come in until 5! So someone lied, obviously. Regardless, I never even got a chance to speak to anyone in charge. So I left feeling not only like if had a crappy meal, but dissatisfied that I didn't even get to voice my concerns. My advice: steer clear and go to Pepe's. (FYI this review is for the larger and newer Mi Casita behind Zaxby's. I've not visited the other one). read more

Fabulous restaurant - we were on vacation, but ate here twice. The food is delicious, and the service is top notch.

Very fun atmosphere. By far the best Mexican restaurant in the georgetown area. Food was delicious and the restaurant was very clean. Very big open feel with great service. Nice atmosphere. Chips and salsa are tasty. Food was hit and miss. The fajita burrito was awesome but the taco salad was underwhelming. If you opt for vegetarian, stick to the dishes that have grilled vegetables, otherwise it's just beans and cheese... Service was not as on top of things as they could have been.
