My meal was fine. However, I found a woman's fingernail in my food. Unfortunately, the wait staff did not even offer an apology.

From the moment we walked in, the hostesses and manager made us feel welcome and had us seated right away. Our server, Angel, was fantastic. He walked us through the menu, explained how many of the dishes were prepared, and made thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling pushy. We started with the octopus and fresh focaccia with honey. The octopus was exceptional--easily one of the best I've had and on par with dishes I've enjoyed at Michelin-starred and James Beard-recognized restaurants. We also shared the beet and goat cheese salad, followed by the local snapper and the ribeye cap topped with lobster claw and tail in chimichurri. Every dish was beautifully prepared and showcased the quality of the ingredients. The cocktails were well balanced (not overloaded with ice), and the Thyme on Thyme is an easy recommendation if you're looking for something light and refreshing. The wine list paired nicely with the meal as well. Watching the sunset over the water while listening to music drifting across the park made the evening even more memorable. Thanks to Angel and the kitchen for such an outstanding experience. Seventh South has earned a spot on our regular rotation whenever we're in Naples.

When we walked into the restaurant, we were presently surprised on how pretty the place transformed from what used to be Three60 Market. Cozy, rustic, chic. Since it is a small place, every table seemed to have a view of the river. They also had outdoor dining, which would be nice once the weather gets cooler. We arrived right when they opened so we were initially the only people there. However, that quickly changed in the next hour or 2. We were seated by the hostess, and our waiter quickly appeared. He was warm and friendly and was attentive throughout the night. They had a good selection of wines by the glass, and specialty cocktails From the summer dining specials, we all ordered different entrees. Everything was delicious. Both the appetizers and dinner were full portions. Great deal for the price. All of us will be coming back, and bringing our husbands.

A Hidden Gem That Proves You Can't Judge a Book by Its Strip Mall…read more Don't let the location fool you. Tucked into an unassuming strip mall in Naples -- yes, right next to a laundromat -- Next Level Caribbean Bar and Grill is exactly what its name promises: next level. We stopped in to pick up an oxtail order for a friend, and ended up staying to enjoy cocktails on the patio. While we were there, we ordered the jerk chicken tacos (only managed a photo of those -- we were too busy soaking up the ambiance to think about documentation), a quesadilla, and another appetizer I honestly can't recall by name but absolutely remember enjoying. The food is fabulous and authentically Caribbean. The kind of food you simply do not expect to find in a nondescript little corner spot. Yet here we are. What really stood out beyond the food itself was the sheer volume of business this place was doing. While we sat, a steady parade of Uber Eats and DoorDash drivers cycled through, alongside families walking in for their own pickup orders. When a restaurant is replacing people's home-cooked meals on a regular basis, that tells you something important: the food is that good, the consistency is that reliable, and the staff clearly knows how to execute both dine-in and takeout without sacrificing quality or temperature. That is not easy to do, and they make it look effortless. A note on timing: I visited in early 2026 and am only now getting around to uploading the photo and writing this up -- my apologies for the delay. A return visit is already on my to-do list, and I'll update this review when I get there. Practical tips: You'll need a car or to be within their delivery radius. I did pickup myself and can confirm the order held up beautifully. If they deliver to you, I'd encourage you to give them a try without hesitation. Next Level Caribbean is a genuine find. Seek it out.

Finally, my 30 plus member cigar club, from the Venice FL area decided to make a road trip to Naples, specifically to visit The Burn. Twelve of us made a caravan and left Venice, driving to Naples. We arrived and had no trouble finding nearby parking for all of our vehicles. After parking we entered the lounge finding it to be quite large, with a nice bar, humidor and an outside patio too. We entered the humidor and found a staffer who offered suggestions, cut our cigars and even offered to light them for us. We paid him right there and stuffed his tip jar - that was awesome service. We then gathered in the main room of the lounge and began our cigar tasting while enjoying a few Old Fashion whiskey drinks. Then six of us wandered out to the patio and grabbed a nice large table. The bartenders were fast and service was okay. The servers were awesome, prompt and very attentive to our tables - efficient is a great description. We stayed until about 6 PM and then headed home. It was a very enjoyable adventure. I understand Rocky actually has a birthday there on March 10, 2026. Hopefully I can attend.

Everyone was very happy with their food. The cesar salad is very good. They put a lot of a cheese on it, which is awesome. I love cheese. I have only had the triggerfish and it is an amazing dish. The fish is not fishy at all. It is meaty but light and flaky. They give a good sized portion. The pimento cheese is to die for. I can't believe how much of it I ate on my last visit. Then we have the key lime pie. Wow. Double wow. It has a burnt sugar topping similar to creme brulee. The filling is light and tart. The pie ties with Sweet Melissas. The interior is super cute. I love the nautical colors. They have a nice bar too. Hurry up and try it. You won't be disappointed.

Service started a little slowly--we didn't meet our server for about 15 minutes, although another team member quickly brought us water and drinks. Once our server arrived, he was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. It seemed like he may have been covering several tables that evening, so we completely understood. Our meal ended up taking about 90 minutes after reservation, which was longer than we expected for a quick dinner. We shared two dozen oysters, king crab legs, the miso butterfish, and cocktail.. The oysters were fresh, though we had slightly higher expectations. The king crab was easily the standout of the meal. The miso butterfish was well prepared but a bit heavy on the sauce--I think a touch of acidity and a side of vegetables would have balanced it nicely, something to consider. Between the waterfront breeze, friendly hosts, and our server's hospitality, we still had an enjoyable evening. It may have simply been a busy night for the service team. We'd gladly give Syren another try.

When we checked in, the hostess acknowledged that it was an anniversary dinner. At the end of the dinner, they gave us complementary champagne. Michael our server was great and provided good descriptions of the food items we asked about (ie difference between the triggerfish versus butterfish, types of fish used, etc ). The food was excellent. We started with the corn bread. It was so delicious, I forgot to take a picture until it was almost gone. Buttery, with small corn chunks, and a bit of outside crust. Then my husband and I shared the Fish Stew and the butterfish Entrees. The Butterfish was an oily whitefish served with a slightly sweet sauce on top of rice and broccolinI. They fish stew was much more hearty a dish with lots of different seafood (mussels, shrimp, salmon, etc). Both were excellent, though my preference was the Butterfish. At the end of the meal, we were given complementary champagne and a clam shell saying Happy anniversary. A very nice touch. This restaurant is a elegant seafood place perfect for happy hour with your friends, as well as a special anniversary with your husbandl Highly recommend. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, which felt odd, but we decided to stay because there was plenty of space for the kids to play. Since there was only one waitress working, we tried to help by moving some tables ourselves. Suddenly, another lady came out and, without even greeting us, began raising her voice, telling us we weren't supposed to do that -- even though we were only trying to help and the place was completely empty. Later, I set up a kid-size pickleball net outside in the large open area where, again, no one else was around. The same lady came out once more, this time with an even worse attitude, and asked us to leave in front of my daughter. So we did. As we were leaving, I mentioned that I would be leaving an online review, and she started shouting, accusing me of "threatening" her. I understand if they prefer not to have a kids' net set up, but her attitude and behavior were completely unacceptable. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, especially when children are present, and in a market with so many options, service and attitude matter just as much as food or location. I believe the owners should be aware of what happened and take action, especially given how much social media and customer reviews influence dining decisions today.
