    Beef Beef Mi Casita Nachos

I did a pick up order for this place so I'm assuming I should try to dine-In next time. I ordered the beef nachos, and unfortunately my chips were very soggy and hard to chew. They put a lot of beans on the nachos which I couldn't really enjoy. I can see the potential because the food was flavorful. I had high hopes due to people recommending it to me. Maybe I'll try it again eating inside and requesting no beans.

We were greeted quickly by the lovely owner, she took our order and then chatted with us a bit. We order chips and salsa, the salsa was good. The chips a little thicker than we like but still good. I had a carnitas taco. The taco was on a flour tortilla, with onion and cilantro. The pork was very tender and good. I also had the fajita chicken taco. I would order them both as street tacos next time. My husband had the chicken flauta and quesadilla. The chicken was moist, and the flauta was tasty. Glass bottle cokes for drinks. My husband tried the fountain Mountain Dew but we just aren't fountains soda fans. We will definitely return. And wish this lovely couple of 45 years many more years of happiness.

If you're in Denton, Mi Casita serves up the best burritos in town! Their burritos are massive, flavorful, and filled with fresh, authentic ingredients. The seasoned meats, perfectly cooked rice, and homemade salsas make every bite unforgettable. Don't miss their signature carne asada burrito--it's a local favorite! Great food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere make Mi Casita a must-visit.

Amazing service and great food. 10/10 authentic Mexican flavor. My fiancé and I will be regulars here- they got the big topo Chico's too!

Wanted some quick breakfast tacos and decided to drop by. The place is super small and most of it's traffic comes from drive thru. Literally 3 tables and a small ordering counter. There was a weird sewer like smell coming from the back. I ordered 3 breakfast tacos. Bacon and Egg, Potato and Egg, and Chorizo and Egg. Surprisingly, the chorizo didn't taste bad! What ever they used was pretty good. Actually none of them tasted bad at all, they were all pretty good. What was distasteful was the raw tortilla. The tortillas were not fully cooked but rather warmed. They obviously use store bought tortillas. Most of these tortillas aren't fully cooked, they are too white. (No pun intended). Tortillas should have a little brown in them. The salsa is obviously not homemade, and the taste of raw tomato and cilantro is evident. Also, thought it was weird they served the tacos in aluminum foil even though I asked to eat there. Chips with my breakfast tacos was a first as well. I would have probably have this place 4/5 had I done drive through.

First time here, the staff/owner was polite and attentive to me. All I had was the tortilla soup and I did enjoy it. It had good amount of chicken and had several vegetables, okra was a pleasant surprise. The soup also came with rice, something not seen at other restaurants. I'll have visit again!

Hmm. I'm not ready to commit to liking Mi Casita yet. My food was fine, but nothing special and same for the atmosphere and service. I can see it being a regional favorite and sentimental to UNT grads. I had the Migas, which was essentially like what I could fix for myself at home. Not a big fan, at this point, but willing to give it another try. diningoutdfw.com

Cozy little restaurant with low priced but tasty Mexican food. Order at the counter, grab a beer or soda and your food will be out quickly.

Everything we ordered was delicious. The guacamole tasted super fresh, the queso was flavorful and came in a generous portion, and the salsa had just the right amount of kick without being too spicy. The only small hiccup was the chips situation--they give you big portions of guac, queso, and salsa, but the chips come in a tiny bowl. (Literally 10 chips) very sad for 6 people to fight over so little of chips. Not a huge deal, just a bit surprising. We also tried the margaritas--they had great flavor, though they tasted absent of tequila. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would definitely go back...maybe next time we bring our own chips! :)

If I could give La Fondita Mexican Restaurant six stars, I would legally change the rating system…read morejust to make it happen. Let me set the scene: I walked in expecting a casual meal and maybe a decent taco. What I got instead was a borderline spiritual awakening wrapped in foil and served with rice and beans. First of all -- the giant piña colada. When they say giant, they are not messing around. This thing arrived like it had its own gravitational pull. I'm pretty sure I saw a small family of tourists orbiting it. One sip and I was transported to a beach that doesn't even exist on any map -- coconutty, icy perfection with just enough kick to make me briefly consider texting my boss that I've moved to an island and won't be returning. Then came the beans. Listen carefully: I don't throw this word around lightly -- perfect. These beans were so good I genuinely paused mid-bite and just stared into the middle distance reevaluating my entire life. Creamy, rich, seasoned like someone's abuela whispered ancient secrets into the pot. I would trust these beans with my taxes, my passwords, and honestly my emotional well-being. And the corn tortillas... dear lord, the corn tortillas. I have had tortillas in many places, including at my own abuela's table -- and saying this feels like confessing a sin -- but these might be the best I've ever had besides abuela's. Warm, soft, slightly charred in all the right places, like they were handmade by someone who has been perfecting this craft since before I was born and possibly before electricity was invented. If I could build a house out of these tortillas, I would. I would live there. Happily. And then--just when I thought things couldn't escalate further--the huevos rancheros arrived. Eggs cooked to that perfect sweet spot where the yolk still has a little rebellion left in it, laid over a bed of everything that matters, all tied together with a sauce that refuses to be anything less than unforgettable. It's the kind of breakfast that makes you question why you ever settle for anything less in life. Comforting, bold, and somehow both rustic and wildly impressive at the same time. Everything else on the plate? Outstanding. Rice that actually deserves to be eaten and not just politely ignored. Salsa that sneaks up on you like, "oh this is nice--OH okay there it is." Service? Friendly, fast, and somehow emotionally supportive. Atmosphere? The kind of place where you immediately feel like a regular even if it's your first time. Final verdict: If you are anywhere within a 50-mile radius of Denton and you are not eating at La Fondita Mexican Restaurant, you are making a series of deeply questionable life choices. I came in hungry. I left changed.

We started things off right with chips, jalapeño ranch dip, and queso, which is honestly the only proper way to begin a Chuy's visit. The queso was warm, creamy, and exactly what my soul needed, and the chips with that jalapeño ranch were the cherry on top. Speaking of cherries, we also got the Tito's cherry limeade, and it was the spring we didn't know we needed to bounce. Crisp, cold, a little dangerous in the cutest way, and honestly adorable -- the perfect little kick to start the meal. Our waiter was top notch: kind, attentive, and somehow always there right when we needed something without ever hovering. That kind of service makes the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. For food, we ordered the Baja shrimp tacos, and when I say the shrimp is BIG, I mean it (and no, we're definitely not out here flattering any men ). The shrimp was cooked perfectly, flavorful, and absolutely the star of the plate. They came with rice and beans, and even though I forgot to ask for the cilantro lime rice , I was still super happy with everything. We also got the steak fajita Tex-Mex burrito bowl, and every single bite just kept getting better. The steak was tender, packed with flavor, and once it all got mixed together with the salsa and scooped up on the crispy tostada, it was perfection. This meal was such a good reminder of why Chuy's became a favorite for me in the first place -- fun atmosphere, great food, amazing service, and one of those dinners that just hits from the first chip to the last bite.
