I will dearly miss Mi Cocina. I've been going here for a few years now and the food is always amazing and delicious. It's always made me nostalgic in the sense that it reminds me of my grandmas cooking growing up. The servers and staff are always kind and efficient. The restaurant always feels welcoming, open and clean. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get. This restaurant unfortunately closes permanently today (I think due to economic times).. so please please please go out and support them on their last day today May 24th 2026. Came here for Happy Hour from 3-8pm and it was fantastic! Great menu for jumbo margaritas, quesadillas and Mexican pizza all items under $10 which is a great deal. Good portions and all delicious! Great and attentive service. Margaritas were strong too! My friends don't drink so they ordered a jamaica instead and it was gigantic. I've come to this family owned restaurant a number of times, each time bringing friends, some of them from Mexico and some of them from the U.S. Everyone has enjoyed the food and the experience. The chips and salsa (which is delicious) come free with your order. The person who usually waits on us is sweet and helpful. The menu is extensive and the portions are quite large. The chile relleno burrito, one of my favorites, is big enough for two meals. You have a choice of sitting inside or outside on the patio. I took my grand kids (all older) to this restaurant and we were really happy with the experience. The food was well prepared, the beer was cold and the wait staff was very friendly. The menu is extensive but the waiter was able to help us figure out what to order. I find most Mexican places to be cookie cutter, but this is authentic and really delicious. Sadly it was a mistake to come here. It looks like it has great potential but unfortunately a complete disappointment. Ordered the suizas enchiladas, they were sour and had no flavor. Couldn't even finish them it was that bad. Almost if the cream had turned rancid. Our waiter was attentive. The restaurant itself is outdated and located in an awkward spot. So after some business in town, we decided to check out this little hole in the wall. Parking is always hard to find on this little street. Only one handicap parking spot and the curb was cut for handicap that's a plus. This restaurant is located in a very busy traffic area. Outside dinning with about 4-5 tables and chairs. As we walked to the doors it had two entrances which is kinda confusing on which one to get to the restaurant, I understand after we walked in why two doors. It seems to have a bunch of smaller offices and retail stores and even upstairs. Inside has approximately 15-20 tables and chairs and clean. A nice atmosphere to sit a chill with a few friends and drinks and watch a game on two TV's. A full bar from what I can see from my table. We were greeted by one of the workers and sit anywhere (Maybe it's a sign but no one was even in there). We were taken back by all the food they offer on the menu. The drinks arrived (7-Up and an Ice Tea plain) 7-Up or something similar was off. Not sure if it was an off brand but it didn't sit well. Our food arrived and it was time to chow !! Easy don't get to excited. I'm not sure where to start but a simple cheese enchilada with green sauce and Spanish rice. Everything was VERY salty to the point I can't eat it anymore. Now I'm not negative on salt but only in proportion with my food !!! It didn't even look appealing. The plate was VERY HOT but the food wasn't. Lastly the price, I'm on a tight budget nowadays just like most of us are, so we order accordingly and what we can afford. We were thinking if we keep it under $40.00 we'll be ok. Well again kinda confusing when we get to the counter to pay it's a totally different price than the menu.. it was never explained to us that if you pay with a credit card it's a totally different price then what's on the menu. There price on the menu is a CASH PRICE ONLY !!! They charge 3% on top of the total of the bill. Our bill was well OVER the $40.00 mark. Now that doesn't sound like much but when your on a budget it can add up. Very misleading and no where on there menu does it mention that difference and nobody explains this fact to you. Now I don't like to bash any restaurant I've been to in the past years but just be aware of these hidden costs with some restaurants it can truly add up. I've been here a couple times, and both times I've had the chilaquiles. What setts this restaurant apart from others is that they allow you to add meat to the dish, and I've added chorizo. You can chose between rojo and verde for the sauce. I'm partial to verde with eggs over medium. I would give this place five stars if customer service was above average. They don't ask if you want refills or how the food or visit was. Because the chilaquiles are the bomb, they get four. I wouldn't mind coming back to try other dishes, and if I'm ever in the area again during lunch or dinner, I'll definitely try. You can't go wrong with trying the chilaquiles if you're in the mood though. They've come out quick enough for the chips to still have some crunch texture with the sauce. Enjoy! read more

The people inside were laughing and having a great time while eating which made us feel like we were in the right place. The host (with very nice hair by the way) welcomed us and sat us down by the TVs since México was playing against Canada. He immediately brought out an appetizer along with menus and asked us what we would like to drink. This guy knew what he was doing. I asked if he had any Agua Frescas of the day and he mentioned, "MANGO". I dropped what I was doing and immediately asked the gentleman to please bring me a cold Mango Agua Fresca. Every sip tasted just like how I imagined. No powder cheap stuff. They used real mangoes! Shortly, we placed our order and the wait time wasn't long at all or maybe the football match made time fly by faster than the speed of light. I don't know. But time did fly by QUICK. The portions and flavors were amazing! I really enjoyed what I ordered. NO CAP. I'm a BIG GUY and it's rare for me to get full but I did! From the corner of my eye, I noticed that a party across from our table were eating Churros with Ice Cream and I immediately knew I needed that. I had to end the night on a sweet note. Unfortunately, the majority of what we had lacked in overall flavor and reminded me more of what I could expect at a national chain restaurant. The one exception was my wife had the steak fajitas and I stole some steak and it was great! The people working were very kind and we're working hard, but they seemed very short staffed for a Friday evening, so even though they were good, we had to wave people down if we needed anything. My only experience with this restaurant was with their happy hour and marguaritas. Both were delicious. Today I ordered a take out carnitas tostada and was disappointed. There was a limited amount of the salad part (lettuce and tomatoes and cheese) and a lot of meat. This place is excellent. Great food and great prices. I've gone several times now and left happy. Their taco tuesday is pretty good; especially if you like margaritas. It's alright, although I finished my entire meal (because I did not eat breakfast), I feel like I've had better. However, the shredded beef in my enchiladas were really tender and juicy, i'll give them that. The service is great, there was only 1 server but it's only 11:49am and it's SLOW. The only complain I have really was that there was a black speck found in my cup of iced water (I have worked in food service so I understand SOMETIMES debris from the fountain machine can potentially go inside the beverage, so I understand), but all I did was ask to get a new one. This is a great little Mexican restaurant our first time dining here. There's plenty of parking across the street. I had the mocajete it's a huge portion cost $45 we could've shared it. They stock a lot of different bottled beers and also make margaritas. Staff is really friendly, restaurant is clean they have tables and booths, I'd recommend the booth we sat in table and it was unstable. Chairs had a few patches on them to repair not replace which is fine. Bathrooms are located outside of dining area in hallway towards back of building. Not a far walk they are shared with other business in this building. Margaritas could've been better it was extremely sweet but we'll be back for food and try a michelada. read more

We came here on a Saturday night. We we arrived, we weren't sure if they were open since the large outdoor patio area was dark and the "OPEN" sign was not lit. That said, we walked up anyways and they were indeed open, with only one other party there. We could sit wherever we wanted and our server was prompt to be with us. The restaurant was clean and well-lit. This is the perfect place to come when you are not super hungry as they offer a la carte options that are perfectly sized. I was not that hungry and got the taquitos with shredded beef. The meat was good and there was lots of lettuce and sour cream.
