I have to say this spot has become a go-to for me when I'm craving tacos or ceviche. My favorite is the al pastor and my husband loves the lengua. I almost always order the ceviche de pescado tostada. It's so fresh and hits the spot. I'm also a sucker for their melon agua fresca. I love that they have a salsa bar with three different flavors along with lemons, onions and jalapenos. They have different specials throughout the week, so I like to take advantage of the taco Tuesday. Service is always friendly and your order is ready in no time. Sometimes I'll call in my order and it's ready when I get there. I always take my order to go, but there's plenty of space there if you want to bring a few friends and eat there. Prices are reasonable and there's a great variety to choose from on the menu. They're hidden away a bit in the shopping center, but they're definitely worth finding your way over when you're craving some tacos. read more

Arrived to location, it's in a nice area and clean, did notice cook was on phone call with service gloves on, proceeded to put away phone and not throw away gloves or wash hands and started working on food orders. Food is consistently good. The price went up recently but completely understandable given the current inflation. We always get tacos with lengua, al pastor, potato, or fish. If they continue with the same quality and quantity, I'll keep coming back. Service is great, nice people. Salsa bar is a must for me. I discovered Don Baja Grill a week ago and I've already been here 3 times. I've had the fish tacos, lightly battered, fresh and tasty. My "Go to" item is the Carne Asada burrito, lean grilled beef, no fatty gristle, fresh beans, rice, cilantro and onions. The salsa bar has an incredible creamy avocado salsa. Was in La Verne and wanted to grab burritos for dinner. A quick yelp searched have me this spot that was closest to where I was. I got a carne asada and an al pastor burrito. Both were delish. The meats were seasoned perfectly and the price was fantastic compared to the $18 plus per burrito in the OC. Service was great. Order taken with modifications with no issues. Came here for lunch and ordered a crispy fish bowl for 10.99. Hard to find meals that are that price these days and filling too. Comes with 3 pieces of deep fried fish, cabbage, salsa, rice and beans. It was delicious and although it looked small, it was very filling. If anything I would say it's a bit on the saltier side. The Carne Asada fries were really tasty. The fries were crisp, the meat was seasoned just right, and the guacamole and crema really topped it off. The potato taco was good, but the potato was a bit too mushy and oily for me. The Cali Burrito is pretty much an Asada Fries food item with a tortilla. It was very flavorful and I enjoyed it. If I'm back in this area I would definitely like to try their other dishes. read more

Wow. I wish I had ordered from here years ago. My husband said the surf and turf burrito is one of the best of its kind he's had - it was also huge. The nachos - amazing. I like that the tortilla chips have a lightness while still being crispy. Comfort food! The meat on everything we ordered was juicy and well grilled. However we did order 2 lemonades and a cocktail that we never received and when we got the bill they were charged. After speaking with the server she did apologize and removed them from our bill. Accidents happen and they made it right.

We've ordered many different things from here. Today. I ended up getting the tacos. I personally have an autoimmune diet so I try to stay away from gluten, dairy and soy. The gentleman who took my order at the window was pleasant and helped me navigate the menu to make sure I didn't have any issues. You order at the window and they bring it out to your table. There's a small seating area in the back of the building where there's some picnic tables and a little fire pit. I really enjoy it. It's different from most places. Casual. There are water cups and a water dispenser and a little salsa bar. Their pickled onions/ all flour is really good, spicy! And there's typically three different salsas you can have. They're all really good. They're soft Tortillas are handmade. The meat tastes like you grilled it on your barbecue. I love that! It's not greasy or grizzly. Had a nice, light freshly grilled flavor. I don't think they're overpriced. I've gone to other places and paid the same price for soft tacos and got in street tacos that are gone in two bites. These are pretty Hardy and made with fresh ingredients so I think it's worth every penny. They do get busy so prepare to wait in a line and be patient for your food because it's a small establishment that is making your order fresh. They do a great job and if you're short on time, try to go before or after rush hour lunch or dinner time.
